Macy really couldn't figure out what had drawn him to the forest, and to be honest the Unigon didn't really care. He must have stuck out so badly, his bright clothing in this realm of emeralds and dots of colour. The ground was cushioned with moss, making his footsteps noiseless, feeling almost weightless as he ventured deeper into the place of nostalgia.
He was at peace, for the first time since being tracked down by Jareth, his punishment wasn't as brutal as he thought it would be. Though the world was ugly, greys and browns of solid ugly walls. A choking realm of smoke and sin, not like the forests and woods, his home, his kingdom. Reaching a hand up he caught a falling leaf, the crisp green still moist with dew.
"I miss home I think, why am I so drawn to this place?" he asked the leaf, the only reply was it being blown out of his hand and fluttering softly to the ground. He had stopped and now he started again, going further in until he found a clearing. Old stone statues and shapes covered in moss and plantlife, the place was rbight, the sun not repelled by leafy roofs. Macy stopped and simply stared up at a tree, the leaves whistling a rustling in the wind.

Jareth watched the rare creature through one of his many crystals. That troublesome Unigon had run away again it seemed, almost ironically to yet another forest.
He was not amused.
He had long since given up trying to make the other man see sense. His Labyrinth was supposed to protect him not imprison him, and the world inside, though full of perils, was infinitely safer than what lay outside.
Nonetheless, Macy had escaped, which was quite an extraordinary feat in itself and not only did he survive out there but he thrived as if he had been born there. This had been hard for the goblin king to accept and his damn pride had run away with him and the Unigon was once again in captivity and just as rebellious as ever.
With a low sigh, the weary monarch left the room of his castle in a flutter of owl feathers until he arrived and perched on one of the branches of a nearby tree.

Macy turned upon hearing the flutter of wings invade the serene melody of the forest and the winds. His eyes narrowed in distaste upon spotting the creature he disdained the most, he hated owls and it was all his fault. He was treated like a relic behind glass at a museum, never to break free.
he wasn't happy that his peace had been invaded.
"come to gloat over your victory Jareth? or do you simply enjoy keeping me as a little pet?" came the nonchalant remark, Macy himself was surprised at how unaffected he was acting, inside he was spitting poison and cursing Jareth with every hateful word he knew. He turned to face the owl, his features holding a displeased look.

"I was merely making sure that you were behaving and not causing your new guardian any trouble." Jareth replied, returning to his human form and jumping out of the tree in one fell swoop.
He hated experiencing the creatures angry aura, especially as it was completely unjustified. He had been willing to let the Unigon go free once his punishment had ended, but now he wasn't so sure.

"I cause what I receive, I'd take the Labyrinth over this stupid world any day" Macy answered, his anger simmering down a tad, though he didn't relax. He'd never relax around Jareth, not when Jareth was the source of his chains. No matter how gilded a cage, it's still a cage.
"i'm not planning anything your majesty so you don't need to ruffle your feathers" he added, holding his hand out to catch yet another leaf, this time blowing it up and away on his own. His ers flicked around as he picked up the sounds of birds and leaves. He loved the forest, and could not help but let a little smile flit across his features.

"If that is the case then maybe you'd like to return home with me once this is all over." said the Goblin King with a knowing smile passing briefly over his lips.
"It could not have been that bad after all, could it?" he continued stepping gracefully over the forest floor without a sound. "I did my best to make sure that you were safe, that you did not want for anything." That much had been true as he had given hi young ward almost everything that he had wished for as long as it remained within the Labyrinth's ancient walls.

Macy had sat ontop of one of the old crumbling remains that graced the forest floor. His gaze steadily on Jareth's as he watched the goblin king moved towards him, he gave him trivial,worthless things. He had no firm compnay and he had no space to spread his wings.
"no matter how gilded a cage, it's still a cage. i won't go back there, not now I have a taste for freedom...I hate that...castle...and those stupid...smelly goblins" Macy answered, his gaze travelling down to rest on his tanned hand, which has rested against the moss covered surface of the statue. He had experineced no real care or love.

"I see this is the beginning of another endless argument." said the Goblin King with a look that almost held sadness, although it was very carefully hidden. With a long pause he looked at the rare one. "We will discuss your freedom, once your term here in the human world has ended. But until then, I suggest that you behave yourself."

"money and posessions only go so far, you hold no care for me, just my lineage. So i will continue to be of a nuisance until such a time you release me....or rid yourself of me...you do not understand how my mind works Jareth and aslong as you uphold such a prideful outlook you never will.." Macy argued heatedly, his gaze settling on Jareth's, eyebrows creased in annoyance. He hated being treated like a rare jewel, so he played the farthest thing from beautiful.
Macy blinked shortly, his look one of unguarded surprise. Jareth was going...to free him? he could hardly believe his ears, Maybe running his mouth off did get some results.
"you are allowing me to return to the South? what happened to all that gloating you did at the balls and towards lord Caspian whenever you decided to show me off?" he asked gently, his gaze downcast.

"Caspian and I have...other things to discuss now." said the Goblin King, not really making any sense. "And the truth is that I do care for you. Over the yers I began to see you....almost as family. You're certainly haughty enough. If you are sure you can take care of yourself then there is no point in me helping you, and if you are unhappy with me then my care is even more pointless." he paused "So maybe it's better for everyone if you leave."

"I was not asking to leave, meerly to have the ability to leave the Labyrinth and go to other realms when I want to" Macy answered, in truth now he felt dazed and a tad scared, realising how much he had come to depend on Jareth. He didn't want to leave totally and certainly not leave Jareth.
"you have a funny way of showing affection,my lord" Macy answered in a slight hiss, annoyed he had been striving for something he had someone acheived without noticing. He locked his gaze up to Jareth's, this stupid pig-head of a man had somehow become like a father to him.

Jareth glowered at the other man having thoroughly lost his temper.
"And you sir are quite insufferable. Had you not rebelled so often and might I say creatively, then I might have shown you more affection." he replied angrily turning away from the other man and making his way along the forest path.
As an afterthough he turned back. "And remember that I have not yet granted your freedom, I am only willing to negotiate it when the time comes, and until then you must remain here." he sighed, looking a lot older than a Fae his age should.

Macy glared at Jareth, thouh he was silently pleased that he had managed to make Jareth angry yet again. He forgot how much fun it could be.
"I must have picked it up from someone then" Macy answered, jumping down from his perch and following slowly.

Jareth give him a frosty look.
"I'm afraid stupidity isn't learnt behaviour, Macy, you're just born wth it. Now if you're quite finished." he continued to walk away. Was it totaly impossible to have a civil conversation with the man?

Macy sighed lightly and quickened his stride so now he was walking next to Jareth, it wasn't his fault he found the man so easy to wind up. The Goblin King was still a child when it came to teasing, at least that was Macy's view.
"Jareth, I would have thought you'd be used to my mindless teasing by now" he commented warmly, sending a small,reassuring smile towards the Goblin King. If he was honest, he'd much rather be back in the castle--with the option of escape of coarse-- than be stuck in Nishi's apartment while the stupid man went after younger men.
