(indigo in the log is Enoh, black is Dg. neither is required to use a color for the rp after the log) Anethae was tired. Living was hard, raising kids was hard, and managing a large building that would soon be filled with godly condemed criminals was just going to make it harder. So, as she sat at her desk in the office of the Reform, the doppleganger tried to relax. Maybe a walk would calm her nerves? Perhaps a little nap? Hm. A Nap sounded like a plan. With a sigh, Anethae brought her arms up, folding them on the desk before her, and placing her forehead in her arms. Forcing herself to relax, she closed her eyes and waited for the sandman to take her
Oracle stared into her pool. Yet again she had been notified by her mystic pool that it was time to use some of her life force to kill a guardian to give them their reborn god. But she was dying and therefore her emotionless state was starting to vanish. And boredom with this job had set in. If she was going to kill this doppleganger she was going to make it interesting.
With a sharp tug on the woman's reality a safe some how crashed through the ceiling above Thae, landing on her head and crushing it completely. There. That was quick and interesting. The woman wouldn't feel it anyway. She'd just wake up on the sidewalk. Though she might just have a little bit of a sore neck. The goddess was starting to lose her touch.
Thae didn't feel herself die, but her spirit sure knew something was up. She'd spent so long in the In Between that she just...knew these things. When she woke up, she sat straight up with a gasp, instantly lifting her hands to feel her face, arms, legs and torso. There was a big sigh of relief, and then... "Oh good, I still have a body..." Hm. Quite the priorities in life.
With a whine in disapproval over the stiffness in her neck, the Doppleganger stood up, finally looking around to see where she was. "A...Sidewalk? Wasn't I in my office....?"
"More correctly a highway. It's rather busy at this time too." There was a woman sitting behind a coffee table, reading a magazine. She looked a bit like that woman Rouge who knew Zasalamel-the two woman had the same eyes and facial shape. Only this woman had cherry red hair in a mullethawk instead of short blonde hair.
"It would do you the most good to sit down and have something to eat. I have stuff to explain to you." the spirit woman said, putting down the magazine and indicating a plate of chocolate mini muffins and a cup of tea on the side of the coffee table nearest to Thae. The coffee table was placed so that one could sit at it and still be on the dividing lines of the highway. It was rather an odd place but still it served it's purpose.
"Why am I on a highway?" Thae questioned, though she sat down either way. She glanced at the food, making an inner grimance...she didn't like to eat the food of strange places, lest it trap her there like the whole Persephone-Hades bit. She knew it wasn't Gaia. Thae couldn't explain how she knew, but she knew. "I'm...not hungry, thanks." The doppleganger said politely, regardless.
"So, Why am I on a highway? More importantly, why is there a table on a highway?" Wasn't that, yanno, dangerous?
"You are on a highway because the goddess who created this setup has been hiding in her hidden garden for 3000 years and doesn't know that it's dangerous for people to be in the middle of a highway." the woman's tone was completely blank of emotion but the way she spoke it was almost as if she had no control of this whatsoever. "And you are currently in a half living state. These cars and trucks are intangible to you. I am currently also in a half living state so I am tangible to you. The table and food are magic so they're solid to you till you eat the food. You cannot return to the living state unless you eat the food. I know it's stupid but you can't. You're in this realm so your half-life self can bond with the spirit of a god who has passed on from our realm. I have to explain what is happening in our world and why you have to be like this for a while. I don't want to but it's my job." the woman explained.
"I see..." Really, she didn't. But, she'd seen her fair share of strange things, so this didn't really bother her at all. She did, however, grimance physically at the idea of eating this food. She didn't mean to look or come off as ungreatful, but still. Sighing, Thae reached out and grabbed a muffin, nibbling on the corner a bit. "Spirit?" She repeated, then fell silent, looking away from the woman. Yes, there was something around here wasn't there?
The jewel on her forehead began to glow, the carbuncle side of her itching to hold and protect the spirit.
"Half-life, though? What happened to me?" It clued in. Half life? She technically had two...hers, and Neveah's. Part of her wondered which life was halfed, or if they were both halfed evenly. Talk about morbid curiousity, to boot.
"Oracle messed with your reality causing your to get "killed" so you could be brought to this realm. However you're not really dead. As soon as you know what you need to-now that you've taken a bite you don't have to eat more. you got what you needed- you'll wake up in your office and have just been dreaming. In most cases you'd wake up on the ship but you were sleeping already so you'll just wake back up there." the woman told her calmly.
"I shall give you the gist of what's happening. There is a world called Tison, which myself and the goddess who brought you were are from. It used to have very powerful gods and goddesses besides the oracle. However one of them betrayed the others and murdered them, taking over the world. He is now trying to pretty much opress it's people. Oracle has forseen that if he's not stopped he'll destroy the world. The only way to stop him is for the murdered gods to be reborn and given to guardians he can't reach. That would be people who reside in gaia as he can't get there. The oracle has to kill the guardians when it comes time for them to take on the care of the god so they can connect with this realm and recieve the god child and take it back with them. You are one of those guardians. Luckily for you you'll have one who in his past life and nature was a warrior and a quiet but strong man. Zasalamel will be a great help to you in raising this child."
((This is posted here because Enoh and I were in the middle of this a while back but we never got to finish it and she couldn't find the log due to accidentally signing off in the middle.))

Anethae stared at the woman as she spoke, her angled aqua eyes blank. So blank, in fact, it was hard to tell if she was actually listening to what was being said. Apparently she was listening however, as she let out an angry noise.
"If I actually die, I'ma get my spirit-butt over here and KICK you!" Anethae grumped under her breath, wrapping her arms around her shoulders to hold herself. "I just got this body and this life and I'm not giving it up, thank you VERY much!" This time, she spoke much louder to defend her own property. The doppleganger was acting an awful lot like Neveah at the moment, which was only understandable.
Anethae then burst out into hysterical laughter. Zasalamel? Raising children? In the same sentence?! "HAHA You're funny lady...Zah doesn't have a child-rearing or raising or otherwise bone in his tall, lanky, evil elven body!" The doppleganger had doubled over, holding her sides this time. This woman had to have been dense, talking about Zasalamel like that...!
"...Wait." Suddenly, the laughter stopped. "First you half-sort-of kill me, and now I find out you've been spying on me? I never once mentioned Zasalamel. How did you know about him?!" Instantly, Thae was standing up and slamming her hands down on the table. Then, with a flare that Neveah would have been very proud of, she cried out. "Stop spying on me!" Huffing, she sat back down in her seat as if nothing had happened, as if she'd never moved.
"Sooo...wheres this soul I partially died for?"

Kendra didn't appear to care about Thae's outburst. "It is not his child raising abliity that will come in handy. He was a warrior once and so was the deity you have received. And the nature of his personality will mesh with Zah's better when he's older." she said taking another sip of her drink. "As for spying on you, I've done nothing of the sort. I know what I am told by Oracle. And Oracle watches the lives of guardians she it told to watches the lives of then informs me what I'd need to know when that guardian is ready."
Looking up she noticed that the relic had already appeared. Oracle must be rushing things for some important reason. "And the soul is encased in that relic around your neck. It may not look like much but that's your deity." Kendra said. "Now wake up." and with a wave of her hand Anethae was back in her body and awake like nothing had happened-but with the relic around her neck and the memory.
