I would consider myself a Lupin the III noob, in comparison to most of the other members of the Club, in the essence that I, in fact, had never heard of Lupin movies (of course there would be some, but I've never had the opportunity to actually watch one) or many of the other assorted Lupin the III facts before reading the home page of the club. But I believe this is an opportunity to expand my knowlege and my love of this entertaining and long running series of Manga, Anime, Movies and Games (and not being endlessly flamed by those of you reading this in rage sweatdrop )with the help of my fellow (and obviously more knowlegeable)club members. So, if you will give me a helping hand to learn more about Lupin the III paraphernalia I can avoid the humiliation (and flaming 3nodding )
of being a Lupin noob.

Well, you can rant if you want to, because i learned a lot from the guild's home page(which is sad sweatdrop ) and i know there must be alot more than that to know about L.t.III. I think the reason i dont know much about all the different facts is because ive never looked for them. i watched the anime, and i was happy. But since joining this club, a hunger for knowlege has been awakened within me. so my only question is "What else is there to know about the greatest thief in the world?"

Wow. That's a big question. Basically, the stuff on the homepage is what everyone will agree on with you. After that, it's your own interpretation.
The interesting thing about Lupin is that it's quite diverse without even trying.
Monkey Punch had his own version of Lupin when he first started drawing Lupin. His Lupin manga was actually very different from chapter to chapter, nothing really was transferred to the next week. This holds true for the movies and TV series. So, however all subsequent directors of Lupin had their visions of the Gang, that's how it was until the next time.
So actual questions like:
"Is Jigen from the mafia?"
"What is Goemon's sword made of?"
"What is Fujiko's and Lupin's relationship?"
"What is Zenigata's personal life?"
They can never be truly answered.
For example:
Watching "The Secret of Mamo" movie will leave you beleiving that Zenigata has a wife and daughter. While watching "Steal Napoleon's Dictionary!", Zenigata himself says That no woman has loved him for 20 years. And in "Die! Nostradamus!" He laments over his pushing aside of women over the years, and abandonment of his parents for pursuing Lupin.
The Lupin franchise sometimes contradicts, sometimes supports itself. So what more is there to know? Well, that depends.
