Once again, welcome to Boatanica! The rules of this guild are simple enough to follow, so please do so and have fun while you're at it. 3nodding And now on to the rules~> Seba-Vader Rules~ - Pay attention to the rules; we sat down and wrote them for a reason. - Follow all Gaia ToS- PM any of the guild moderators (Erby, Seba-Vader, Marshmallowpidgeon) with any questions or concerns before they become a problem. If you wish to talk to someone else, feel free to PM Lepper36. - We ask that members try to be as literate as possible. Occasional 1337 speak and the like is tollerated; but txt speak is not, under any circumstances, to be used. It angers the admins. - Spamming is only allowed in the main forum or in the Random Area. If ye wish to be stupid as well, there is a desginated spot for that too. - Obey the admins and mods. End of story. - Some RP's will be off limits to certain guild members. It's not because we hate you, it's meerly because the RP threads that this rule applies to were started a while ago and are rather tight-knit and you must be invited to join them. Do not ask if you can join them, as that will render an immeadiate "no" even if you were being concidered. Depending on your skill as a role-palyer, you might be invited to join. Although we cannot compleatly lock those threads, we ask that if your user name isn't on a list at the beginning of that RP to please stay out. Failure to do this will get you one warning. If it happens again you could get banned. - Please please please please PLEASE read the announcement threads in each of the subforum. If you don't you're going to end up looking like a fool when one of us PM you telling you to stop whatever it is that you are doing. I've already had this happen more than once. - Have fun, talk to people, and role play! Seba-Vader New Members~ In the words of Marsh: New members are encouraged to look around and become active as soon as possible. Be sure to make sure that you are posting where you should be. Reading is important, I recommend checking the first couple of posts and the most recent posts of each thread that you enter. Also, if you plan on going on vacation or know your are otherwise not going to be on Gaia or in the guild for a prolonged period of time please just make a quick post saying that your going to be absent for a while. And if you would be so kinda as to send a PM to myself or one of the other crew if you plan on quiting the guild. It helps us to keep the guild nice and tighty for everyone.

Seba-Vader RP Rules~ 1) "1337" speak and "txt" talking are not allowed in this guild, unless used jokingly. Those that continue to type in this manner will be warned several times, and then kicked from the guild if their grammer does not improve.
2) When called for, crew members will edit posts that are illegable or wrong.
3) Discriptive posts are recomended in RPs. 2-3 sentences should be fine although it is not a stead fast rule. Quality of RPing is better then quantity.
4) Out of Character (OOC) chat is allowed inside roleplays so long as the conversations are kept at a minimum, however, crew members advise creating an OOC topic outside of the roleplaying topic.
Seba-Vader Making an RP --> Members may create roleplays in the Corsair Corner forum. Only crew members are permitted to create RPs in the Teach Island forum. In this way, we can regulate this sub-forum better. If guild members wish to make an operation in Teach Island, they must seek approval from a crew member.
--> RPs made that do not include all the information that is required, are otherwise incomplete, or are illiterate will be given a warning from a crew member. If the creator does not fix their roleplay, the topic will be deleted or edited by the crew.
Seba-Vader Battling inside of an RP Example: A fighting arena or a roleplay involving some form of fighting. - Roleplays or RPs specifically designed for combat may be laid out in the first post according to the standard format. This will include the story, the objectives, equipment to be used (if any specialized equipment is called for), and the Rules of Engagement that will be used. Story:
Objectives:
Equipment:
ROE:
Teams/Restrictments: (if applicable) - Rules of engagement (ROE) make clear to everyone the way in which target termination will be determanded. There are two ways in which this will be handled. The first being Player Determaned Outcome (PDO) and the Second will be Dice Determaned Outcome (DDO). DDO is the more common ROE that will be used due to the fact that PDO requires considerably more RPing skills and cannot be used agains NPC forces.
DDO (Dice Determaned Outcome) - When engaging a target you way roll one D6 (six sided dice)or one D20 (twenty sided dice), depending on the roleplays choice of die, for each enemy engaged. When using DDO, after rolling the dice and posting, you must hit the 'edit' button above your post and write your reaction based on your throw. D6: [Attack]
1-3: miss 4-5: wound 6: critical wound
or
D20: [Attack]
1-5 = Direct miss! Careful! 6-10 = Weak hit! Attempt only grazes the target. 11-15 = Normal hit! Target gets moderately injured. 16-19 = Direct hit! Target is shocked a bit. 20 = Critical hit! The injury is severe!
PDO (Player Determaned Outcome) - When engaged by an ememy unit, the player will derterman whether or not they are hit or they dodge in whatever the case may be. This requires much more moderation over the other method as players can start "god moding" by dodging and making inpossible shots. Remember! You cannot determan the outcome before the dice has been rolled or make other players move as you wish them to.

Another thing to note is that two of the admins of this guild, Erby and myself, are grammer nazi's. We can and will edit your posts to instill grammer. So, keeping this in mind, please don't take it offencefully if it happens to your post. We're not going to make an announcement about editing it, but just keep in mind that we will do it.
Erby: Oh c'mon Seba, it doesn't happen that often.. Just when it bothers me far too much... liek lol..
p.s. ERBY HATES "LOL" AND THINKS IT TO BE DEVIL SPEAK.

If need be, we will be posting more rules. Just be nice to each other so that can be avoided.
Any rules at are broken, depending in severity and/or the ammount done, will land your name in a confrence to decide if you are going to be allowed to stay in the guild or not.
