Hello everyone, haven't been on gaia much at all lately. So imagine my suprise when they made a new forum about food. I went there, and while it was nice, it made me miss this place. I would've been on more, but school and theater decided to occupy my life. sweatdrop

But, I swear, this thread has an actual point to it. A week or two ago, me and some friends decided to challenge each other. We're doing an iron chef style competition with four required courses. We still have to figure out specific rules, such as time and location, but it should be fun. I was thinking a mexican/cuban fusion theme with lime-broiled plantain for starters, then moving onto a gespaccio aspic served with guacamole, the main dish would be Vaca Fritas with my home made green chile on the side, and dark chocalate short bread with whipped cream and berries for dessert.

Has anyone else ever done any cooking competitions? What did you cook?

Does anyone have any hints on Vaca Fritas? I'm gonna have to practice beforehand, since I've never made it before, but any hints would help.

Anything else interesting happen to you guys while I was gone?

Side note: This place looks like it's gotten bigger. @.@
