Holy ******** s**t, it was thee most amazing night of my life!!! Seriously, I can't find the words to describe it. I wasn't in the pit, but a little further back behind a crash-barrier thingy. I had a great view (well, when the dude with the fat head wasn't right in front of me) and as I wasn't in the pit, I could wear my glasses so I could actually see the guys. Also, I should have some good pictures if they come out. I should have them by Thursday/Friday.
There were two support bands, one random unsigned band and of course; Cathedral. I thought both bands were pretty good, but they did get abuse (and bottles) from some random twats in the crowd. If you don't like a support band, just suck it up and get over it. I mean, Cathedral were on stage for about 25-30 minutes. If you hate them that much, go to the bar or something, but don't throw bottles and abuse. It's called respect. ********. stare Of course, some bands do deserve bottles and/or abuse *coughThe Rasmuscough*
Anyway, onto HIM. Wow. eek They were a thousand times better than I ever thought they'd be. They just blew my tiny little mind into 15 thousand pieces, leaving me scrambling on the floor trying to pick them up. Here's a little taster for you to try and comprehend how fantastic they were: Their first three songs were Soul On Fire, Your Sweet 666 and The Sacrament. You don't get better than that!
There were just so many great moments, and I can't begin to tell them all. Here's just a few:
Ville in full "The Crow" face paint.
Mige wearing a shirt that made him look like a goddamn hillbilly.
Burton wearing a witches hat, and ******** up on The Sacrament.
Ville in a Jack Skellington mask/hood thing.
Ville dedicating Solitary Man to all the single people, and then getting us to sing "Solitary Woman" for all the ladies.
Hello?!?! I was in the same room as HIM!!!
Ville getting us to shout 'brains' back at Mige whenever he shouted it.
All 5 members... topless. Yep, Ville did a deal with the crowd. If people in the crowd went topless, so would they. About 15-20 people in the pit ripped their shirts off and started waving them about, so the guys stripped off too. Unfortunately, I had no film left in the camera to capture this oh-so-sexy (or in Gas' case, disturbing) moment, but at least I have the memories in my head. 3nodding
I doubt anyone will read this whole thing, but I thought I'd share my wonderful HIM-sperience with you all.

I just think that they're trying to be a commercialised HIM for the mini-moshers. Like it said in Metal Hammer: "making rock music that only people who secretly hate rock music can like". As for the HIM show, it was amazing. I can't wait to get my photos.
