Anbu is a team not indibiduals. That is the reason why everyone looks the same and have to wear the same uniform. If you do not like it wearing it, then you are not ready to be a part of a team. A rule that applies to you, applies to all. Even Captains wear it. There is no distintion what so ever, all ANBU, all the same.

Hi hi ninjas! Just thought I could share my ANBU dream avi. Comments are welcome! PM me too!
I know it doesnt look like the typical ninjas with the vest and shoes and all that stuff but I wanted to be c r e a t i v e with my anbu! Hooray!
oh yeah i have alot of trash paper, flowers, tokens, inks, and bugs in my inventory. if you guys are collecting it for quests or whatever just let me know.

black ops.. hmmm baggy pants and skirts and such dont seem to make me think 'black ops' they remind me of why naruto looks ridiculous as a ninja with a bright orange jump suit. Shadow Sannin There is no distintion what so ever, all ANBU, all the same. (undercover) captain anbu seem to have a different cloak.

ANBU is separated into different types. Assasination, Rescue, Interogation, Infiltration. There is no distintion, the Cloack is for all, pending on the Squad, like in the Chunnin Exam, that is if u remember. Ibiki was a member of ANBU Interogation, actually the CAPT. Kakashi was a CAPT. and so was Guy and Itachi. They all wore the regular Uniform, No diferent from that of his Squad.
