Rain splattered against the window to Buffy’s room. She could the cool and humid air trying to invade her room.

Spike is probably sleeping right now. In Xander’s closet no less.

The cold air couldn’t get past the window.

Buffy sighed and laid back against the pillow. When did things get this complicated? Probably 7 years ago. That sounds about right. Did she break a mirror or something?

Everyone slept at this hour. No one should be awake pondering the side effects of mirror damage. Not even the slayer. She curled up under the blankets and welcomed the warmth and safety of her bed.

Rain, lots of rain. Lots of rain. Why was there so much rain? Buffy stood in the middle of a huge lake… or ocean- on the ocean. Walking forward, the rain pelted her relentlessly. There were trees growing out of the lake. Yes, she decided it was a lake. There were rooftops poking out of the black water. Sunnydale. It’s a flood.

The dream went no further as gentle sirens brought her back to her tousled bed. Buffy stared at her window. The blinds were always down. Sometimes open, but always down. There was a moments delay before she padded to the window and pulled the draw. The bars of shadow the blinds made were lifted, and it left a solid chunk of light shining into the room.

Thanks. I'm progressing slowly, very slowly, but surely. I'm thinking I should just put away a good hour or two towards it.
