So I jst got a cellphone family plan with my parents and I needed to transfer my old number to my new phone. So Tuesday night my dad and I wen to the phone company store to go and change it. They said it should take 24hrs but because of my old phone plan(a pay as you go kind) things could get snagged up. So tonight I called up customer service and they were unhelpful to put it nicely. First of the phone reception on their end was crap,very fuzzy and soft. Second this persons first language was not english. I have no problem with English being someones second language but I think it makes things go a lot smoother when some on has a good comand of the language you are the support staff for. Because of the bad reception and language issues I was so confused about what they were asking I gave them the password for my new phone since they asked for a password and didn't say what kind of password or for what phone.They said it went through and the number should show up by morning but I'm not sure. Plus I have a thought that because of all the confusion my new phone is going to have the number it has right now be transferd to it(thats right it will still have the same number I have now)

I know the simple thing would be to keep the new phone number but I have memorized my old one plus thats the one everyone has. so yeah old number=<3

So please share your customer service stories. and thanx for listening to me bitching.

XBOX Live customer service is a bunch of really stupid people. They wouldn't let me or my dad cancel the account that I had before... I couldn't use it cause my XBOX was broken, so we didn't want to keep paying for it. Anyways, they wouldn't let him cancel it because even though it was is credit card, the account was registered to me. They wouldn't let me cancel the account, my name being on the account, because I wasn't the credit card holder. They PHAYEL!!!!

Well... I'd imagine you've done this, but just contact the credit-card company, and tell them that you aren't doing business with xbox-live and that you're disputing the charges... I'd imagine that xbox-live would eventually get the idea that they're not getting your money anymore... o.o

edit: And I work at a customer service job... well... sorta... a cashier/advicegiver/storemaintenance/stuff... and I TRY not to be an a** to people... but there are some people that come in with an attitude... and I just kinda... yeah... yeah... ok... nope, can't help ya... when in reality if someone was nice, i'd spend a couple minutes and help them... and it's not like i'm afraid of losing this job, myself (and most other customer service reps) are treated like crap by their employer... and if they've had a bad customer to add to that... they're not really gonna be... helpful...

I'm not saying you were doing anything wrong... nor the customer service rep... but the company behind them is ALWAYS wrong if some problem pops up... We're here to do our jobs... You're here to ask for something (usually) reasonable... And the company is filled with a bunch of jackoff executives...

er... i'd better stop ranting now... or else i'll get too worked up, and wind up bitching off my manager... (who is in the same (at best) or much much worse predicament than I'm in...) (ex: they short-staff our store so to get the salaried store manager to work more than the 50 hours they want him in there...)

errr... ooops... *stops now* x_x

Actually, we already got it canceled. The people who work where my dad has his card know him from some... previous hassles. He called them, and in about 20 minutes they had called the people at xbox live and had the account suspended, which is something they usually don't do.

and that right there is why I don't want to work for corporate America. Those executives get to make the big bucks,live the highlife and at the expense of the underpaid over worked average joe worker. grrrrr.
