There wasn't much to do as far as Minze was concerned as she wandered about the temple without rhyme or reason. It was a clear day with sunny skies and a severe, disappointing lack of breezes, but it's perfect nature made the day all the more boring. The young maluess had only recently arrived in the temple and had yet to make a single friend, though it was not from lack of trying. It just seemed as though most of the Malu were content in their social packs, and while Minze had at last found her own appointed pack, she still hadn't managed to get to know anyone in particular.
So, wasting time, the maluess batted her soft pink eyes at a butterly before making her way to the outskirts of the temple. It was a beautiful area, but she felt consistently uninterested in scenery.

Likewise, another Malu fell into this category of being bored with nothing better to do. Again in common, he really hadn't met any others in his time at the temple...unfortunately he had lived in this stone labrinth for his entire life. Oh well, it didn't matter really. Not too many malu enjoyed walking around as much as he. With his head held high, Mudvayne continued on with his daily stroll around the temple grounds.
Coming up upon the southside temple grounds, the rather...rough malu stopped in his tracks. There was a rather striking female strolling along, her colours reminding him of the flower on the oasis not too far away. Swallowing hard, his eyes shifted back to the way he had just come from...unsure if he was willing to make such a bold step. However...he did want to go to the pond which was around the corner and into the courtyard - which was a one enterance room. Taking a breath, the rather dull looking Malu pressed on towards the female.

The maluess fluttered her little cherub wings as she observed a particularly interesting flowering bush, lowering her nose to a purple blossom to inhale it's sweet scent. She had been told once that she smelled like flowers, but she wasn't sure if there was much warrant in the observation. That had been sometime ago, after all, when she was still practically a pup. Now she wandered so much in the desert that she'd no doubt her scent had become more sandy and dull, though she hoped it hadn't.
Lifting her face from the flowers, she caught the subtle sound of hooves on the earth as her ears swivelled in that general direction. Abruptly, her gaze followed and fell upon the sight of the young male coming near her. She smiled, taking in his brown hued form before speaking as he drew near. She knew he was not meaning to approach her by his stance, but she took the opportunity to speak nevertheless. "Hullo, sir."

With the female clearly in his sights, it was no suprise that as he drew near her body turned to clearly observe him. Feeling the pacing of his heart increase with each step closer, closer, the male was soon in hearing range. Seeing her warm smile, her tender voice with a pleasant sense of formality in her words was something he felt he could listen to for hours. Not often was he graced with from his first impression, a dignified lady.
Pausing in his tracks, his body shifted to face her as his head dipped down in a bow; careful with his antlers. "Good day, miss. Admiring the flora, are you?" Lifting his head up, his own smile adorned his lips before folding his wings neatly on his back. "They are probably the most colourful you'll find at the temple"

Her voice was a deep soprano, not quite low enough to be considered alto but with enough resonance that she didn't sound childish. Her pink eyes, however, glittered with girlish pleasure as she regarded the flowers once again, their purple petals and pale green stems a beautiful match to her pink and green coat. Spring things gave her delight as spring was typically associated with birth, something her Goddess delighted in. She knew her Goddess planned multiple births for the young maluess, though none had yet taken place due to her wandering in search of a home. The temple, as of yet, seemed the best place.
She could almost sense his uneasiness, wondering how often he saught out the company of others if he ever did at all. Nevertheless, the two had stumbled upon one another and it was only polite to engage in conversation, something which the sociable maluess had missed greatly. As he bowed, she gave her own deep nod as her hindlegs folded beneath her and she sat with some matron-esque dignity, "I am, actually. Though they pale in comparison to some of the blossoms that brave the desert, they are beautiful in their own right." She gave a dazzling smile as she glanced between the flowers and the male, "And you are enjoying the day as well, I hope?"

Sure, being in such close proximity kept Mudvayne on a nervous demeanor, yet he tried truly hard to keep his whits about him to actually enjoy his meeting with such a female. Taking a breath, he smiled warmly, dipping his head once more as his eyes tilted up to gaze into her own. "I am enjoying my day, even if it is a tad bit on the humid side. I am pleased to make your aquaintance, miss. I am called Mudvayne, you can call me what you wish." A slight chuckle in his tone cracked out, seeing as he had never met anyone prior to give him a sort nickname.
Turning his orbs over to the aformentioned flowers as his head returned to their normal posture, she was indeed rght, and it touched his heart that she felt the same as he about the subject. "You are true in your wise words, the desert flowers have no rival in beauty for flowers." Again, his tongue ached to feel the cool water of the fountian...his thirst not enjoying the delay in the slightest. Thus, doing the only think he knew, his eyes glanced over to the direction of the fountian before returning to Minze. "Despite that you've just sat down, would you care to accompany me to the fountian? Perhaps you as well would like to quench your thirst..."

She inclined her head in a respectable nod as he introduced himself, waiting until he had finished speaking before her pink eyes found his once again and she spoke, "It is truly a pleasure, Mudvayne. I'm Minze, though I'm afraid it is rather too short for obvious nicknames." For a moment she considered his name before deciding with a curt shake of her head, "I prefer Mudvayne. Any shortened version would hardly do it justice.
"Flowers in the desert, however, have a much more deadly beauty than these here. Those blossoms in the desert at adults while these are mere children," her smile broadened, "But that is why I like them." She caught his glance in another direction, which drew her attention to him from the flowers as he spoke. The mention of a fountain made her aware of just how dry her throat was. "I would love to." She stood easily, her wings fluttering gently as she did so.
