I just got internet access back since I got back from Glastonbury Festival. I'm not really sure what they were reporting on TV, Radio and in the Papers, but I'm guessing it was probably about the rain, flooding, mud, and the dance tent being struck by lightning. Maybe you saw a few photos like this one...

The site I was camped at (near the other stage and the dance area) was the only place on site that hadn't totally dried out by Monday afternoon, yet it wasn't too bad there during and just after the storm. A couple of small rivers forming through the field had forced people to move or abandon their tents. We had managed to pick a fairly good spot.
Despite all that it was my best festival experience yet. I got to meet the Dresden Dolls which made me very very happy. I didn't know what to say to them though so I just said hi and grinned stupidly at them. Amanda (the singer) grinned back though so I didn't feel too silly.

Welcome back!
Glad to hear you had a good time, did you see Brian Wilson (Well hear at least judging by the size of the crowd seeing might be difficult)?
Karl will be very jealous that you met the Dolls.

Didn't see Brian Wilson no. Wasn't interested and I was standing in a cash point queue (for over an hour) at that time anyway.

I took Kate instead of Alice this year and Alice is my wifey so no marriage this year. I didn't feel like marrying any of my Uni boys that were there either. xp
I love Lost Vagueness. Hadn't really experienced it until this year. I saw a Pirate band in The Chapel of Love and Loathe. Fantastic. pirate mrgreen

Lost Vagueness is great. I've missed the more impressive bits at Glasto since I haven't been recently, but they do their own festival too. It was an all-nighter last time but is now a 3 day event in August. Will be trying to get there, but it's the day we fly back from the fringe. (Before the Dresden Dolls play gonk )
