It has come to my attention that with all of the powers she has endowed her charater with, there is a possibility of God Modding.

Powers in Question

heavens gate: summons an angel from the heavens to pull the creatures targeted to the endless white abyss.

rift of the blessed gods: a holy bolt strikes the ground blasting energy in a line threw a group of enemies.

summoning of the Oni: possibly one of the strongest abilities she posses, turns one targeted person or creature into a temporary Oni (being able to summon the power of the 8 elements) who's powers are rivaling the gods themselves.

crono shift: teleportation of one or many people/items

gift of the gods: massive healing ability, granted by the gods of life and the heavens.

soul resurrection: revives a fallen comrade and fully heals there wounds.

Now, I have no problem with powerfull charaters, but to have powers as fully developed as these without any explanation other then she was "born of holy light" is a little silly to me.

A charater would need to train for quite a bit to aquire these powers.

Or am I just being too nit-picky?

That would have to be the best orgasim ever to give that child those powers.

Not to mention, she just magicked up a temple as if it were nothing without stating that ability in her profile.

Should I PM her and ask her to either tweak her powers to make them more suitable towards her age/training or ask her to go into more detail in her profile on how they became so powerful.

And an Oni is a lower level demon. Those are the ones with the single horns, aren't they?

Ah, alright, my mistake then.

I am just trying to figure out how I should ask her to exlpain or change her powers without sounding rude.

Ok, lets just make sure we first ask about the Oni situation, it might not be a demon, it could be something else. So no assumptions.

As far as the temple goes, well, it might be a bit farfetched, but I have seen several cases gods gifting there faithful with some type of gift, and a temple is not too far fetched, and besides, this one is not really all that critical or hurts anything.

As far as her powers go? I would agree that her history needs to be expanded to include how she arrived at those powers, but.... If we go to nit picking her to death, I guess I am going to have to buckle down and begin working on my novel "How Sherman J Christophers got a Levithan." Which, I can do. LOL.

The spells:

If she is trained as she says, then the following spells could be what I saw in books:

The spell called Plane Shift, was a priest type spell, and this spell would fall in line with that. It was a mid power level spell in the book.

There was another mid power spell called Flame Strike, but, it did not go horizontal, but there was another spell called Call Lightning which was a low level powered spell, but it was critical that there be clouds present for it to work. If the day was clear, you were hosed. So this spell, I don't have a problem with especially if we use the combat system I am designing, chances are it could fail.

This one we give it a weight limit akin to what mages have to deal with when she does the teleporting.

crono shift: teleportation of one or many people/items

This one here we can limit to just so many times a day and a random roll on how many hit points or SDC is restored.

gift of the gods: massive healing ability, granted by the gods of life and the heavens.

This one here is a high end powered spell, and in the books it called resurrection. Thing is, we can penalize both her and the person receiving it. She can't cast this spell for a certain duration, and the recipient loses a quantity of hit points permanently.

soul resurrection: revives a fallen comrade and fully heals there wounds.


Now what she is describing as far as being born of holy might, we do need to watch otherwise she is going to start calling herself a Avatar of her God, which is BAD. I would say expanding her history to say how she was taught these things is good. At the same time though I don't want her beat up on. Take a look at other profiles, she has to some extent listed what she can do, while others have not even come close yet.

I agree on the training, and I think asking her nicely to expand in that arena would be good.
