The night was placid, a chill sweeping over the desert as the moon faded in and out with the passing clouds overhead. Silent was the night, late in the hour as two Malu walked closely together along the sands. Both black and white, in majority, Aion held whisps of orange on his pelt, his wings demonic. Meanwhile, the female held pink in her pelt, her own wings white like angels with pink tips which almost seemed to eerily glow. Both seemed to talk in whispers on their midnight walk, secluded from the eyes of others as they were trapped in their dreams.
"Listen, I need you. You're the only one who can set this right, without you...I don't know what i'm going to do." He admitted in a grumble, the female looking about as emotionless as a rock..when she spoke, she spoke in lyrics, her voice light and mystical. "We are not together here... but we lie intwined. I have a prophecy which threateneds to spread into words...There's no denying we feel the third one. We do. I'm tired of hiding...and so are you...." She sung beautifully, looking to Aion expectantly as he just sighed. "I know..."

Elu smiled as she walked about the Temple. Enjoying the sweet silence that graced the grounds as soon as night would fall. The little ones were asleep, watched over by Tara who had seemed to become the nanny of late. She had needed time alone, by Tara's standards, and had not been allowed back into the den, much to her chagrine. She rounded a corner, expecting to only see the moonlight, every once in a while shielded by a cloud, what she saw was far less peaceful.
Aion was talking with another female. Elu blinked once and shook her head, disbelief ringing in her bones. t couldn't be possible. Was Aion seeing another malu? Was that why he wanted so much time alone. Elu's ears twitched, catching bits of conversation. "...I need you..." Elu's ears plastered against her head and tears pooled in her eyes. So Aion really didn't care about her. He didn't care about the children. She retreated to behind the wall, leaning against it for support. I should have known.... a voice whispered n her mind. I thought....but I guess that doesn't matter.... She sucked in a breath and set her jaw. He's allowed to be happy. Whether or not he's happy with me.
A sigh and she stepped back out into the next corridor, moving slowly, gracefully and walking past the two pseudo-lovers. Without even looking.

Aion had continued to speak, looking upon the maluess; unaware of Elu as she walks by in the temple. However, this didn't happen to the female, her crystal clear blue orbs caught sight of the other female. Tilting her head to the side as her locks drifted across her vision, her melodious voice once again spoke up...she seemed to have lyrics for everything. "There's a reason why I don't know why...Who's that girl, where's she from? No she can't be the one that you want...seems like everything's the same."
Turning around, Aion blinked as he caught a glimpse of Elu walking by. Raising a brow he wondered what she was doing up as she had been watching the pups when he left...even though they really didn't need to be watched now that they were older. "Thats Elu'ituha...." He muttered, trailing off in thought.
A singular orange orb lingered in the darkness, following the trail of Elu. She had been watching the antics of her father for quite a while now, and was amused at the situation which had arose. Stalking quickly after Elu, the youth darted up before her before stopping, illuminated in the courtyard. "So you have also seen Father.." Viveca's voice rang out, confronting her mother about her father's antics. Of course, she should have been back in the nest - yet Tara had dozed off giving her time to sneak off.

Elu appeared to ignore them but inside, something was crying out. Notice me! Look at me! Say something! it screamed. She revealed nothing and merey passed on through. Her heart was breaking but hell, she wouldn't let Aion see that. Just get past the wall, just get far enough that they won't hear, then...then you can cry. She made it that far, but she didn't cry, instead her daughter interrupted her.
She stopped and looked over at her daughter, "Viveca...shouldn't you be asleep? It's a bit late for you to be up." She murmured, forcing back her emotions to deal with the current situation.
She'd take her daughter back to bed, whether or not her daughter agreed. Her little girl should not be up this late, it was bad enough she had gotten into situations in the past. Elu wasn't about to let it happen again.

Viveca smiled, much the the one Aion had before meeting Elu, a sly look spreading over the child's face. "Tara fell asleep, along with the siblings. I was curious to where father was tonight, he's always somewhere new." Viveca chided, strolling back to the enterance to the desert and looked out to see the two still chatting. The female sure was pretty, a voice like angels; even Viveca could see what her father would see in her. Things like this happened- like with the scandal pups. From the rumors, that Vul guy and her father were not so different.
"I mean, a few nights erlier, I saw him during his pup sitting night chatting with a brown creamed female. She was quite flirtacious, I'm sure she goes after everyone though." She spoke dully, during to glance at her mother with her brown orb. One she aquired form her mother's genes - afterall. "Are you not scared that Father will run off with her? I'm suprised you are not doing anything about this." She smirked, deciding to ignore this late comment...for all she really did was sleep most of the day to avoid having to interract with her siblings.

Elu stared at her daughter in mild shock. It astounded her that her own daughter could be so much like her father and so little like herself. Aion had been with other females. Well, how could he not? She had known that she wasn't the only one Aion spoke with, it wasn't like they were the only ones at the temple after all. But....she had hoped he loved her and she thought he had, their time during that storm...She shook her head and looked down at her daughter, "Perhaps." She answered softly, "But it is his right after all, he can leave whenever he wants to."
She glanced back at her daughter and shrugged, "But of course...I would try to stop him." She shrugged, "But fate has a way of dealing with those who do awful things." She was attempting to alter the conversation. She didn't want to appear weak in front of her daughter but...rght now all she wanted to be was alone. Cry for a bit...then try to talk to Aion and figure out what had happened.

Raising a brow at her mother's calm demeanor, it was rather boring talking to her...she she expected this was where she got her maturity from. Sighing, her eyes wandered back to the desert as she reflected on the words of Elu, so the awful would be punished? Yet at the same time he was right to do as he pleased with others? As sinister ideas bagan to form in her mind, her ears flattened as the locks fell over her eyes to try and conceal the sparkle of mischeif behind her dual hue'd orbs.
"Oh, I see. So even though father is kissing that female, he has a right to, but will be punished after? Stange the world of adults are, that it is." She spoke as she stared blankly to the pair. Who were infact not kissing - Aion had been in a position which looked like he was, yet was merely whispering into her ear. Yet with Elu behind the wall unable to see....she would not have been any of the wiser. Watching as the pair seperated in their own ways, Aion began to make his way over to them; Viveca knew it was time to go. "Well, I am tired, I'm going to head back to the nest - surely Tara will have noticed i'm gone by now." She nodded her small, head, dissapearing into the shadowed corner with a devious smirk on her face...oh how she loved tragedy.

Elu sighed, "Not...exactly." She replied, how to explain in terms that her daughter would understand? "Your father....he can do what he wants, but sooner or later there will be a consequence for his actions." She shook her head. With great difficulty she managed to keep her expression from changing as her daughter told her that Aion was kissing the female. Mentally, she growled, how dare Aion do something while Viveca could watch! What was she learning from him?
She nodded and watched her daughter walk off, murmuring, "You'd better be going back to her, young lady." She sighed and turned, walking off a bit around the corridor, bringing even more distance from Aion and that-that female.

Aion sniffed the air, following the scent of Elu and what seemed like Viveca. Curling around the corner, his singular orange orb twirled aronund the corridor to see neither of them. Frowing lightly, her ears perked to catch the clip clop of Elu's hooves on the stone flooring. Trotting after her, emersing his body into the dark corridors as he caught up to her. Moving up to her side, he slowed and matched pace with the femme; yet she did not stop.
"Elu, why are you not watching the pups?" The inquiry was made in his same tone, however he did seem perplexed to why she was out. Normally she would never leave the pups at this time of night.

Elu ignored the sound at first, thinking it was her imagination but when she felt him brush against her slightly and she caught his scent she almost stopped. Determination made her go forward. "What do you care, Aion?" She snapped, fighting back tears. Her voice fluctuated high and low. She couldn't control it, which was quite reasonable considering the situation. "Why don't you just go back to your new girlfriend?" She tried to snap again, but it came out in a whisper, "I'm sure she'll be much more fun."
How could he? How could he hurt me like that? He said he'd be with me, I should have known. We haven't been together long...I should have expected it. And the children--he doesn't really care. I should have known.

Pausing for a moment as she snapped unexpextantly, his brows rose before dipping dangerously in a frown. "Don't speak to me like that..." he hissed, taking a step before her...confused to why her voice was cracking like that. However, it became clear when she took mention of his new 'girlfriend' which threw the male completely off guard. "Girlfriend? Nakita? You must be bloody joking." He smirked, shaking his head as this was apparently something rather amusing.
"She's about as lively as a stone on the wall. I needed her for something, and we had to talk about a certian someone. Our relationship is anything but a pleasant one, I didn't want to bother you with it, so I didn't say anything." He explained, nudging her head up with his nose.

Elu glared at him, "Of course I'm not joking!" She hissed, anger flaring. How dare he try to blow it off like that! Didn't he care? Elu moved forward again, "Sure Aion, sure. And what exactly did you need her for, huh? Something I apparently couldn't help you with?" She ignored his nudge, "I thought things were getting better, Aion, but I guess I was wrong." She stalked more down the hall, stubbornness kicking in and not allowing her to cry. Not in front of him, "Just...leave me alone, alright? I'm not in any mood to talk with you."
Don't talk to me, Aion, just go. Because if you do....I just might break.

"You really are a fool." Aion rolled his orb, trotting foreward again and grabbed her ear with his lips and pulled her back, trying to be gentle. "You couldn't, or else it would have ruined it you stupid female. Just listen." He gazed sternly at her, before spilling to what he had been up to these past nights. "First I met with Eclair. She a devious Maluess whom knows everything about the temple. There was something I wanted....but someone had taken it. She told me whom took it: Nakita. Then, I went to see her about it, we struck a deal...because she also had some information I needed. Anyways, thats not important. If you really need to know..."
Sighing, Aion unfolded his wing to reveal a gold bracelet hanging on the tip. Shaking his head,he urged his wing towards her. "You couldn't pick out your own present."

Elu glared, "Don't call me a fool, Aion!" She yelped as her ear was pulled, "Yow! What was that for?" She demanded. Now he was physically hurting her? Was there anything else that could go wrong tonight? "Don't call me stupid." She whispered, avoiding his eyes. She couldn't take much more. She stared at a place on the ground, listening dully to his explaination.
Slowly she raised her head and stared at first the bracelet, then Aion. "What?" She whispered. He....he had gotten her a present? She couldn' believe it and was afraid that this wasn't real. That it was just a dream. The Aion she knew would never have done this...

Letting out a short breath, his eyes trailed back to Elu before glancing away again. I was looking at the walls to the shrine...the ones with the images on it....I had a malu try and translate it for me. He told me that the two legged creatures who inhabited this temple before us gave gifts to their mates, apparently a symbol of commitment. It had to be circle...it means enternity or something stupid like that." He grumbled out of habit...even when he tried to be nice...his old nature just wouldn't die.
"So here....I figured you wouldn't believe me if you didn't have something like this, to remind you. Do you...like it?" He asked almost...timidly. Dropping the bracelet from his wing to hook it with his paw and held it out for her to take.
