Because it's been graded. Naral grades states on Abortion access and rights.
I'm sad to say, Maryland got an A. Among the anti-choice laws they disapprove of? Only a physician can perform an abortion. Wow. How sad. That's about as sad as only physicians being able to remove your appendix.
Anyone who wants to see how their state performed...and why... http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/choice-action-center/in_your_state/who-decides/state-profiles/
Those of you in F states are free to gloat TEXAS stare
Those of you in A states...I feel your pain crying
Also...for the record, I have no idea WHAT mixed choice is.
States and their Grades:
Alabama - F Alaska - A- Arizona - C+ Arkansas - F California - A+ Colorado - D Conneticut - A Delaware - C District Of Columbia - B- Florida - D Georgia - D Hawaii - A Idaho - F Illinois - C+ Indiana - F Iowa - C Kansas - D- Kentucky - F Louisiana - F Maine - A Maryland - A Massachusetts - C+ Michigan - F Minnesota - C Mississippi - F Missouri - F Montana - A- Nebraska - F Nevada - A- New Hampshire - B+ New Jersey - A- New Mexico - B+ New York - A- North Carolina - D North Dakota - F Ohio - F Oklahoma - D- Oregon - A- Pennsylvania - F Rhode Island - D South Carolina - F South Dakota - F Tennessee - D+ Texas - F Utah - F Vermont - A Virginia - F Washington - A+ West Virginia - B Wisconsin - F Wyoming - D

Why did they have to go and put 'anti-choice' instead of 'pro-life'?
Are we really that much of the bad guy, that they need to emotionally barage our stance with that ******** crap?

wow, bad marks because they hold abortionist more accountable, that the state upholds parental concent that was ruled "unconstitutionl" by a court (they didn't say which and only provided a single case with ouy further refrence) because they feel that abortion is a "constitutional right" (though I beleive that idea was eventualy thrown out of court. Since, if it was constatutional, it most likely the "right" would be law rather than ruling, that the state would not let any one orther then certain trained phycisions do the work, that thestate uphold the idea of "free-choice," meaning that a doctor can refuse t refer you, preform on you, etc an abortion, and that the state refuses to financialy aid women in their atempt to kill thier unborn. That you need post consent, and that they have a law restricting third trimester abotions.
Yeah...Pffft, please. I was so over joyed to ind that NC got a D though ^^

You know in total spite, since they scream bodily integrity, why should I be taxed? Its my godamn money, why should I spend it on something that I don't get any use out of... its a burden and financially reckless on me. I could easly you know use the money on me, for thing I want instead of doing whats tough for the good of others.

But if someone was to kill a bunch of kittens because they were a financial burden, these people would think that was monstrous?

Well, to be fair, I'm sure pro-choice people don't appreciate being called baby killers and murderers. Which is something that happens quite often.

[]Himura Kenshin[] Master Kaiser Why did they have to go and put 'anti-choice' instead of 'pro-life'? Well, to be fair, I'm sure pro-choice people don't appreciate being called baby killers and murderers. Which is something that happens quite often. Yeah, still doesn't make it right when Pro-Choicers do it. Not to mention this is a publication, not an individual. They should have some professional courtesy. But, even though there are some annoying Pro-Lifers who say "baby killers and murderers," the vast majority of Pro-Choicers call us Anti-Choice. I mean, it's even on that site and on PP, I believe. []Himura Kenshin[] Master Kaiser You know in total spite, since they scream bodily integrity, why should I be taxed? Its my godamn money, False analogy. He said it was in spite. Quote: lymelady Ever notice how once a pregnancy is a threat to finances, they go, KILL IT! You are making that statement up and you know it. neutral No, she's got a point. If we were to say that our perfectly healthy puppy or kitten was a financial burden, and so we were going to put it down instead of putting it up for adoption, people would look at us like we were crazy. But most importantly, why are you posting here? I could've sworn that Pro-Choicers were only supposed to post in the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice Discussion subforum.

Well, to be fair, I'm sure pro-choice people don't appreciate being called baby killers and murderers. Which is something that happens quite often. Oh, well I'm basing this assumption off this site, which they make that personal attack (their seasoned that is) whilst ours still properly call them pro-choice. But even so, why put an emotional spin onto the term, just call us by our stance. []Himura Kenshin[] Master Kaiser You know in total spite, since they scream bodily integrity, why should I be taxed? Its my godamn money, False analogy. In a way, yes. But realistically they do have similarities. My body, my money, I should be able to do what I wish with it correct? But yes I am just yelling out of angst. Quote: lymelady Ever notice how once a pregnancy is a threat to finances, they go, KILL IT! But if someone was to kill a bunch of kittens because they were a financial burden, these people would think that was monstrous? You are making that statement up and you know it. neutral :/ again possibility. We are dealing with radicals on this site, and anything short of 'even why I am going under labour and the baby is crowing, I still have the right to kill it because it is in my body.' is not pro-choice to them. That's not actually a quote, but they said some things very similar to that statement. Although, I think Lyme was speaking out in angst as well.
