Hm, well.. I personaly never looked back into the origin of Heero nor why they named him as such. What I know is this.
Heero Yuy is not his real name.. we all know that Heero Yuy was this Icon who was assasinated (supposedly) by OZ. He has no background and was trained in space, thus giving him near super-human capabilities.
So, what I want to know is if there is any background information on Heero suchy as mother, father, birthdate, original origin.. all of that nice stuff. Was he even born or was he created?
Heero was never one of my favorite characters so.. feel free to toss me MASS amounts of information.
And about the Title.. yeah.. he's superman, plain and simple. He leaps tall fences, snaps his bones back in place, and survives explosions/gunshot wounds. Can you get any closer?

Meh, I see him as more of a Batman: driven, brooding, no time for love, resourceful, single-minded, and at times scary as all ****.

If you put it in that contexts, I have to agree with Void, he is Batman.
But, he's a well trained solider. He has a single mindness that scares people and a tendancy to be a stone.

Haven't you read the manga? Or at least episode zero? o.O (I think that's the one anyway)
Odin Lowe (his adoptive o.O or didn't he adopt him?) took him in. I believe, if I remember correctly, that he was found with his mother. But I think he might have forgotten everything from his past past because of of trama. I think she was murdered.
o.O isn't that right, those who've read the manga? Or what am I remembering?
EDIT:
Oh, and I remember now. Pure irony right here. Odin Lowe was the man that actually assassinated Heero Yuy.

I don't remember anything about Heero's family, but I do remember the bit about Odin Lowe. Odin Lowe is the reason people think Heero's Polish, because Odin is listed as such.

They have no birthdate, original origin, or any of that for Heero Yuy. He was adopted by Odin Lowe, the man who assassinated the political leader Heero Yuy. He was hired by OZ(or I believe it was the Romefeller Foundation, I forget) to do so. Odin was hired years later to kill General Septem, his shot interrupted by another soldier. He was then shot by Dekim Barton, Heero finding him before he breathed his last breath. Heero then stayed on Colony L1, thus making it his home. He then ran into Doctor J, his training as a Gundam pilot starting then. That's pretty much the gist of his past that we know.

o.o..Well that explains everything.. ^_^! I never read any of the other sets from the series... *cough* Never found the time in to do so in my never-ending Anime search.
Hm.. Batman... I can see that, considering he has NO super powers.
Batman > Superman ... Yeah.. Understandable.

Heero Yuy NWZC They have no birthdate, original origin, or any of that for Heero Yuy. More like went to L1 and met Doctor J... if that's indeed where they met and not just where Wing Gundam 01 was developed and built. Odin Lowe was killed on L3-X18999, the colony that was controlled by the Barton Foundation, that launched Gundam 03 Heavyarms, and that was later used as leverage by Dekim Barton to keep Preventor Wind from stopping the Serpents' drop to Earth and rescuing Relena. There were four attempts to drop something massive on the Earth, aka: the true Operation Meteor. First, they were going to drop the condemned colony at L5 that housed the Long Clan. However, when the Gundam pilots received word of the plan, they launched early in April of 195, foiling the plan. Later that year, second demand at dropping the colony was met by resistance by the Clan leader and, with the support of the colony's people, they self-destructed the colony, much to Wufei's dispair as that was his home colony. The third attempt was orchestrated by Quinze, Barton's White Fang puppet, when he tried to have Space Fortress Libra dropped on the Earth. However, the Gundams tore the ship apart and destroyed it before it could hit and bring about a nuclear winter. The fourth attempt was after Relena went to the newly finished L3-X18999 and was kidnapped. The Mariemeia Army dropped to Earth first, leaving the new colony's stabilizers in a state of limbo. As the colony started to drift out of its alignment, Trowa, Heero, and Duo hacked into the control system and restabilized the colony, preventing it from falling. And I totally rambled and forgot what I was talking about... sweatdrop Back to the topic at hand, Heero was sent in Wing Gundam 01 from the L1 cluster, but was not in that cluster his entire life. As Odin's ward, he traveled with him to the various missions the assassin accepted, helping Odin disguise himself as a father-type figure to prevent people from knowing his true reasons for arrival. Odin Lowe was killed in an attempt on General Septum's life by Dekim Barton... which is a whole other story. Odin was the man that killed Ambassador Heero Yuy five years before any of the pilots were even born. At that time, he was an OZ soldier. He resigned his commision after that mission and went freelance. Dekim found out he was the assassin that took out the Ambassador, and hired him in a revenge situation. He sent him to L3-X18999, where General Septum was the Alliance military's representative, and ordered him to take out the General. During the mission, the General was spared, but Dekim found the injured Odin. Odin recognized Dekim, made mention of the job's current situation, to which Dekim said nothing and shot Odin, leaving him to die. Heero found Odin at that point, and Odin told him to finish the mission. Heero did, but also failed when Treize moved his Leo in front of Heero's rocket to save the control room where Septum and Noin were working. Treize fell unconscious from his injuries and woke in the hospital, where Dekim's daughter happened to be a nurse. Heero is later seen alone, walking an alleyway, when he meets Doctor J. Doctor J convinces Heero to come with him. However, they don't say where the two of them actually are when they find each other. One can assume they were on L3-X18999, since the five engineers worked for Dekim Barton... and that Doctor J brought Heero to his hiding place where he was building Wing Gundam 01 in the L1 cluster... or one can assume that Heero stowed away on a shuttle much like Duo was known for doing and that he ended up on the same colony as Doctor J somewhere (L1 cluster?) and they met there.

I know it was L3X-18999 because everthing was still under construction at the time. In CD covers and books that I have, they say Heero's hometown (or whatever you want to call it) is Colony L1, which is most likely where he was trained. I know what i was tlaking about thanks.
lol, and I think you gave a bit more extra information than the thread's intro post was asking. whee

Sailor Gundam 06 I don't remember anything about Heero's family, but I do remember the bit about Odin Lowe. Odin Lowe is the reason people think Heero's Polish, because Odin is listed as such. But the thing about that... 1) Odin is a Russian name. 2) They aren't blood relatives; Heero was just pretending to be Odin's son. 3) Heero is officially listed as Japanese.

O.o.. Well, that about sums it up for me. As I said, I never really kept up with heero much, nor the side stories because before I culd get around to them, something else would catch my eye.
Anyway, Unless there is more that hasn't been said, thanks and.. that's all I need. Now I don't feel as ignorant on the subject as I did just the previous day.
