Kimaria33: Kidondo was home, finally after all this time! He had to admit that it was good to be back despite the fact that he wasn't happy with how his pride was being run. That's right, 'his' pride. He was as protective of it as if he were King and yet that wouild never happen, not unless he took action.

He was leaving the dens early that morning and stretched out in the early sun, it's rays not so intense at this time of day. In fact it was quite comfortable and with a small yawn the young prince moved over in the direction of the waterhole.

Today was the day that No and he put plan into action.

FallenCatAngel: Ny had left Ra for a little while as he slept, she wanted to wander around her home on her own for a little while. It had been a long time since she had seen these deserts, ran across them playfully or done anything on them. She had missed them, though she wouldn't admit it, if Ra didn't want to stay then she would follow him, she loved him, though she didn't admit that either.

The white lioness moved slowly, heading towards the dens that she had been born and named in. The dens where she was expecting to find her mother, father and brother, though she would not talk to them now, she wanted Ra with her when that happened.

She moved towards them and laid down where she could see the entrance to the dens and it seemed odd, to lay there, a stranger to the pride. She had left as a cub and now she returned to warn her father of Kwana.

She let out a soft sigh and stood up again, she couldn't lay here for too long, it was at that time a red pelt caught her eye and she stood still, very still. Her golden eyes focused on the lion and instantly recognised the colourings of the royal family. This is the last thing she had planned to happen.

Kimaria33: He had noticed her from the corner of his eye. The white lioness who he hadn't seen since he had been a cub. He was older now, his frame impressive. It seemed he had inherited his father's powerful build - and it was something he was proud of.

He turned to face her, his strange golden eyes non-reflective. For a moment it seemed as if he stared through the female and then slowly he bowed his head, continuing a few more paces to the waterhole.

Ny...he could not remember much of her. She had been bold, fiesty...but would she be interested in the pride anymore? He thought she had dispersed and yet here she was. Her scent was also mixed with that of Nuri's offspring, which had him more confused. He pondered on this as he lowered his head to drink.

Surely if she had befriended Nuri's kin then she was not a firekin of tradition...

FallenCatAngel: She watched him carefully and as he walked on she relaxed a little debating on whether to follow him or to return to Ra. She pondered this for a while and then followed the royal male. He was younger then her though he obviously wasn't that much younger as it seemed his build was growing quickly.

She let her neck stretch to lap up some of the water, she did not say a word, maybe her dissappearance had gone unnoticed? She doubted it. Her parents had two cubs, she was one of them, someone would have noticed.

Her thoughts moved swiftly on as it suddenly hit her that he wasn't just royalty but her cousin, her younger cousin at that. This thought brought a smirk to her face and she continued to lap up the water.

Her cousin happened to be right, Ny was not a firekin of tradition, though at the same time she wasn't one to really force change, she was happy with Ra and their wanderings. She had returned purely to tell her father of her aunts plans and nothing more. Ra probably didn't want to stay.

Kimaria33: He finished his water in good time and decided finally to break the silence between them. It was only proper that he address fellow Firekin members, especially those related to him.

"It is good to see you are still around." His voice was emotionless but not unkind. "You are doing well, I take it?" She seemed well enough and stronger too. Yes her physique screamed Firekin despite the lack of red on her pelt. Yet Kidondo had never been one to judge on appearance. As far as he was concerned it was on the inside that truly counted.

FallenCatAngel: She looked up, her golden eyes hiding any true feelings that may linger behind them. The smirk however stood firm on her face, showing Ny the firekin as she had once been.

"You could say that. I am well." She mentioned nothing of Ra, it wasn't needed. "Your self?" She was careful as she spoke. She was happy wandering on and off the prides lands and though she knew she could not do it forever she did not want to be banished either so was very careful with the words that escaped her mouth.

Kimaria33: He nodded and shifted, sitting back on his haunches to glance across the desert. "I cannot complain. I have been wandering a little myself lately. Yet wherever I go my paws lead me back here. The desert is part of me, it is only right you would wish to return to visit too." He turned to her and blinked, drawing in a slow, controlled breath. "Are you happy with the desert Ny?" His question was probably not phrased very well, for whilst he meant desert he truly meant the pride itself. He would get to that...in time.

FallenCatAngel: She didn't sit as he did, she was still a little uneasy and had no reason to relax quite yet. He obviously knew or had guessed she had been away as well, though she wouldn't ask how he knew.

"I have not returned for the desert, nor the pride but for my family and a message for the king." She spoke simply, it answered both his questions in one. She had not returned for the pride or the desert because she could not live where Ra would not and she didn't believe he was happy here, so nor was she.

Kimaria33: "I see." His nostrils flared briefly, inhaling the sweet smell of sand and the mix of many lions. For a moment he looked troubled and then the expression faded behind his iron mask once more. "Ny. I wish to ask you a question now and I hope you will answer truthfully." This was not how he was supposed to go about things but he knew somehow he could trust her. She had been in the outside world as he had so that had to count for something.

"I smell Ra on you. I know you have been with him. Does this mean you share the same views as his family do on...Finar-si?" He added hastily, "do not worry about being open with me dear cousin. We are family after all."

FallenCatAngel: Maybe it was how he said it or something else but she wasn't happy with the question. She didn't know Ra's beliefs of the pride, or very little anyway they didn't talk much about it, they played and messed around and had fun but otherwise...

"I do not know what views I have on such a matter, I do not understand why it would matter anyway. You are also assuming that Ra has something to do with his family, which he does not." She wouldn't go into things, she had no right in doing so. She was however curious to why her cousin was asking such odd questions.

Kimaria33: He frowned at her words and could not help but feeel a certain sence of dread sweep over him. What had happened between Ra and his family? Nuri had never mentioned any problems but...maybe she had kept it from him? He had no right to know about her personal life after all.

"Very well." He stood up and took a few steps away. "I am sorry for assuming such things. It was wrong of me..." He twitched his whiskers, "I ask only because I have heard disturbing rumours as of late and they have me...concerned."

He wanted to grab her interest, plant the seed of change in her mind so that it could bloom.

FallenCatAngel: She laughed. It wasn't a nice laugh it was more laughing at him.

"You have heard things that have you concerned? My you lot are slow." She let out a yawn, not really caring too much. She knew of the prides problems, the inbreeding, after all she was a result of inbreeding of sorts.

"I see no problem in a goddess if she is even there. She has done nothing to us and nothing for us, so if she exists she is pretty harmless." Ny had no problems with the firekin's goddess, she didn't believe in her but nor did she care if some did. After all, it was only a story.

Kimaria33: He did not react to her laugh, in fact her words made him insanely happy. So there were others who thought like him too. He turned to her and approached, pausing but a stride away.

"That, my dear cousin, is the answer I wanted to hear." He half-lidded his eyes and stared at her. "If you leave this place Ny, keep an ear out for change on the wind. There is something approaching, something that will change the history of the Firekin forever." He closed his eyes, "I do hope there are more that think as you do."

FallenCatAngel: She looked at him and didn't say anything for a while, she then smirked and narrowed her eyes a little.

"Maybe if you all got off that thing could royalty then maybe you would notice that the normal lions have known of a problem for a very long time." She was getting a little irritated. How could he know so little about his own pride? She could only hope that if he were the one to end up king that he would be more normal and think before speaking, oh and listening helps.

Kimaria33: His tail flicked and inside his head the cogs began to tick and whirr. Oh yes, meeting Ny had to have been the best thing that had happened since coming here. She was answering his questions and with answers that were surprisingly better than expected.

"Don't worry Ny, the problems have always been apparent. Everyone knows they are there but there are some of choose to ignore them."

He paused, glanced at her and then moved off again, "the rumours of change are spreading. Soon...soon..." And with that he trailed off, leaving his sentence unfinished so that she may ponder upon it's meaning.

If there was one there would be more. He would find them and speak with them and infect their minds with the hunger for change too.

Yes. The Firekin would never be the same again.
