I wrote the poem below, but I don't know what to call it. Can ya'll help me?
The spring fades into memory as the heart of winter settles in, Chilling the muscles, freezing the marrow, Splintering the bones, frosting the breath of the Earth. She breathes in the icy wind, listening to its lonely howls. How mournful is your tone! How grieved are your whirling shadows!
The heart of winter alights on Earth, adorning her shoulders In a cloak of dazzling beauty. From her ears hang Silv’ry-white pearls, her head bejeweled with crystals And diamonds, in filigree, as sparkling stars in chill twilight air. How stunning is your splendor! How magnificent is your season!
Winter speaks to the Earth, whispering in her fine-tuned ear, Beckoning to her heart through words, Allowing the wooden tones of autumn to disappear, Hidden in the dulcet chimes, the heart of winter waits. How cherished are your murmurs! How quaint are your melodies!
The spring returns, with the scents of lavender, and roses, Summoning Earth to follow. The heart of winter, Tugging at the robes of white, causing them to tumble. The Earth is new-attired, but she will not soon forget the heart of her. Listen to the heart of winter, for it carries the pulse of the Earth!
By the way, what do you think?
