This is an interesting little thing I've always wanted to try. A bass tremolo/whammy bar. Anyone have any kind of imput or suggestions on getting one of these things?

Intresteing, but unneccesary looks pretty cool but if its cheap enough why not though the thing with those Floating bridge/whammy bars, is the Tuning really does just go all over the place.

That's why you have to tune it a certain way, and you definetly need a locking system. It takes patience and perseverence to tune one of those suckers.

Not to mention string. Though I'd like to try it out on a bass before having a tremolo/locking system installed on the bass of my choice.

I wouldnt want to hassle with the tuning stuff. I can get pedal effects that bend my pitch if I really wanted that effect.

Wanna imitate horns? It can do that. Wanna give the bass a tremolo? It can do that. Wanna have the note ring out for hours and hours. It can do that. Also, Opeth swears by them.

I would try musicians friend or ask at your local music store if they know what they are. I have no clue about price. I can ask a buddy who owns one.
