Long legs ate up the ground as she patrolled the borders, her dainty paws and long flowing mane of pure white hair flowing over deep midnight blue eyes. She stopped, just as the sun crested the elephants skull behind her, bathing her in it's some what misty, though still very golden light. She smirked and gave one of those hyena laughs off in to the distance, out in to the world, a laugh which announced she was here and noone was getting past her.
Over time she had become strong the black and white female, though she was still somehow rather sleek, her body well formed. She was far more subtle than her sister Schatz, her name that of a flower purveying a certain sence of gentleness. Though that gentleness was towards very few, she was other wise a rather ruthless fighter willing to maul , instead of talk out the problems. She was becoming a strong female, her body heading for full growth. She would never be as large as her sister, but she was fine by that. She could still hold her own in a fight that was for sure.
Settling in the dust she crossed her forepaws and sat guarding the huge elephants skull behind her. She didn't need to guard it, it was simply her post for the day. The cool morning sun flickered past the shade of the skull and she watched it, ehr ears alert, though her stance was very relaxed. The graveyard could be so quiet some times.

Kivu, unlike Frittilaria, was the type who preffered words to actions, although he really didn't mind a bit of rip and tear every once and a while. This dappled hyena was new to the Elephant Graveyard... the place was so... so alien to him, full of new smells, good things to roll in, and other hyenas... girl hyenas, especially. He'd only scented them, but he'd already felt that he could get used to this place. A little flirting here and there was his thing, and he enjoyed it most of the time.
Now, however, he was a tad shy... new to the pack, and dubbed as a scout, Kivu really hadn't found his... place as of yet. He wasn't comfortable, really, and still found himself on edge. First, he had to earn his place here... playing around wasn't going to be part of the deal. That was rogue stuff. He sniffed around, caught the scent of a small mouse... and saw a blur of white fur streak past.
Prey, he thought, and stalked it thoughtfully, his mouth watering. He watched it run over through a pile of bones, just near the entrance to the giant Elephant Skull.
He leant low, and watched the mouse crawl into the open. Biding his time, giggling softly under his breath, he crept forward. Hopefully nobody would take the prey from right under his nose... it had his name on it.

Foolish mouse. Clearly it hadn't seen her sitting there. Frittilaria wasn't one to pass up on such a foolish act and her paw came down with a crack breaking the poor little beasts bak before it knew what hit it. Rolling her dark blue eyes she looked the little creature over thougthfully. Perhaps deciding if she was going to eat it or not. She didn't usually eat things as little as mice, still, there was no point passing up even a small morsel, who knew when the next meal would wander in to the graveyard. Against her better judgement she scooped up the rodent and swallowed it without even chewing, only to notice the scent of the male hyena and shortly afterwards she spotted his head as he came around the elephant skull.
She leapt to her foot paws then, composing herself, her nose high in the air as she looked down her long sleek nose at the male. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" She raised a snooty brow at him, though she couldn't help but look the piebald male over and allow a little smirk to lift her lips. Who ever he was he was kind of cute, little rough around the edges, but maybe he was new around here? "Don't you know this is my spot today?" Her ears cocked forwards at that, she could be a very posessive little femme, demandng, strong, as Mafa had taught her to be, though her own personality demanded that she flirt with this male at least a little, it would be unseemly to do otherwise.
Still, she had to wait for him to explain himself first. The graveyard pack got larger all the time, for now she would allow him to explain himself before she jumpped to conclusions and marched him off to the pack leader.

Aaaah, so close, so close! Kivu could almost smell the mouse from where he was hidden, and his muscles quivered with anticipation. The pounce, it would come soon. He'd rush out and grab it up with a snap, and there he'd have it, a free snack. He readied himself for the leap, tensing, and just as he was about to strike, noticed a black paw come down atop the little creature. His heart sank. There goes lunch. Pouting a little, he decided it was best to play it safe and move on. There was no need to confront the hyena girl over there, and after all, she hadn't known he was there anyway. Wait. Hyena... hyena...
Girl?
Suddenly, he was more interested. Padding forward, he stuck his head around the corner, and found a pair of deep blue eyes staring back at him.
"Who are you and what are you doing here? Don't you know this is my spot today?"
He swallowed a little. Was she addressing him? He looked around, and found nobody else present. Well, it looked like she was. He sighed, and realised that he was now stuck.
"The name's Kivu, and I'm... new here. Whether I like it or not, really..." It was true. He'd been roped into joining the pack by Mafa. He didn't really mind the alpha, but he hadn't been looking for a place to go when he'd come here, he'd stumbled on it by mistake, "I was just stalking a mouse. Didja' see where it went, Miss?"
He grinned, showing stained, pointed teeth. He said it light-heartedly, of course, rather than accusingly... though he was interested in what the lady's reaction to this would be like.
"I... didn't know," he admitted, "I'm actually a scout. Not real sure on my duties, yet, though. I suppose I should be patrolling the borders, but I'm not used to this place yet," he shook his head, and his eyes gleamed, "Well, hey, I've only been here for one turn of the sun."
He gave a small smirk.

Frittilaria looked at the male for a moment longer, her tongue licking out over his lips. He must be telling the truth. Oh foo, she hadn't braught in a recruit to Mafa ever, she thought maybe she could have fethed this male in. Never mind though, at least she seemed to be the first to meet him, a good thing in it's self really. "Frittilaria, I'm one of Mafa's Private guards." Airs and graces, just a few, but she was one of Mafas guards. Padding up to the male as bold as brass she walked all the way around him. "Yes, I know which way it went, south" She laughed a soft, slow hyena laugh as she said it, her dark eyes shining before she finished her circling and stood before him once again. "You're very interesting looking. I'm glad you're here you can follow me for a while. I'll show you the borders." She smiled a very winning smile then, not hiding the fact that she was admireing his coat and the fact that he was part of the pack made him easily accessable. She was after all trusted by mafa.
Flickering her long bushy tail she turned and padded out towards the edge of the graveyard. "Well? Come Kivu I'll show you your home." she chuckled lightly, no doubt Mafa had told this male he belonged, if he liked it or not. She so wanted to be like the large female, powerful, strong, commanding, she was far too soft and she knew it, plus, she liked boys a little too much, her wandering gaze couldn't help but admire them, even this newcomer, though really, who could blame her?
"You really are a tender foot then huh? You'll soon find your own way around, watch your step, theres lots of pitfalls around here. Place is a death trap really, but it's home." She smirked her eyes glimmering in the dusty light of the graveyard. she truely loved the place and was proud of her place in it.

He paused, not knowing really whether to follow, or be cautious about his new 'packmate'... hyenas, after all, could be tricky creatures.
"A private guard, huh?" he asked, his azure eyes flickering with interest, "My, you must be a trusted member, then. It'll take me a while to get to that stage... right now, I'm just a scout, but that's all I really need to be at the moment. No demanding stuff just yet. Gotta' know the whole pack first, I guess."
His eyes gleamed as he watched the black and white striped girl circle him. Was she inspecting him? He didn't know, but he stood straight, anyway, lest that be the case.
"South, huh?" he chuckled, a slight laugh-like yip forming in his throat, "I'll look out for it, then."
This woman sure was amusing, to say the least. She commented on his 'interesting look', but Kivu remained silent, and just gave a brisk nod when she offered to show him around. He saw her smile, and at once jerked backwards a little, looking behind him to see if there was anyone else approaching... but found nobody there. Okay. Well, maybe she was just... friendly?
"My home, huh?" he breathed, as he followed her every step, taking care not to put a paw out of place, "A death trap as a home."
He smirked, grinning ear-to-ear, amused once more at Frittilaria's comment. This was home. A death-trap, but home no less.
"I like the sound of it," he snickered, trying to supress a hysterical hyena laugh, "I could get used to this place. So much to roll in, so much to see, do and..." he paused, looking up, "Eat?"
He lowered his head, and decided to press his new guide for something he didn't quite understand.
"So, can I just ask this," he started, and paused before he continued, "Why the hostility for the lions? Do they... steal food or something?"

Frittilaria raised a brow to the dusty brown male, her dark eyes looking at him as if to question what the heck he was asking her?"oh you're joking?" she let a light hyena laugh roll off ehr tongue as she took another step. "I thought you were being serious then. A little smirk lifted her dark lips as she jumpped over a long thick bone that was in ehr path. "Every hyena knows why." She flickered her mane from her eyes then and looked him over, perhaps he was being serious?
"Well, i suppose you're new it should be explained to you. those of us whom have been here forever obviously just know better, you'll learn soon enough" She glanced him over pausing to let him catch up her slenderbody stroking against his left side. "I'll maybe teach you if you behave" she chuckled lightly taking up her steps once again "Lions are mangey poachers. It's not bad enough that they have their own lands which they ban US from, they have to come to our land, OUR graveyard and take up residence here. They have no rights but lions seem to think they own everything. We won't allow that, stupid hairy kitties." She snapped her jaw shut with a click her tail lashing angrilly for a moment."It's not to worry though, we keep them in line, dirty beasts, they need to stay out of our graveyard."
She gave a quick nod once again pausing to look him over. "You don't look stupid, and you're kind of cute so you can follow me for a while I'll keep you in line" a raise of both of her brows then, the young hyenaess examining the older male once again. "I can definately keep you organised."

"Oh...okay," Kivu nodded, a little taken aback. He hadn't been expecting so much to be said about the large felines. He supposed that she must be speaking the truth... Frittilaria seemed to spit out the information on lions as if it was dirty. Instead of questioning her, he nodded, and decided to take in this new information.
"Yeah, well, I guess I haven't come across any... lions yet, so I wouldn't know as much," he was lying through his teeth. Kivumbi'wingu actually did know a lion himself, and had done business with the fellow a while ago, but now it seemed... well, a friendship with a lion would be nothing less than taboo, "So they're dirty beasts, eh? Thanks for the tip..."
He swallowed, and shook the thought from his mind. He really needed to reaccess a few things in order to fit into the pack more easily. If he did anything wrong, he could become an outsider... and then, he would lose a safe place in which to go home. Life as a rogue was too demanding for the spotted hyena, and he preffered pack life to it, anyday. He did, however, know that lions were natural enemies to his kind... but that hadn't stopped him earlier from... having something to do with them. Ah, well. He could learn to hate.
"You don't look stupid, and you're kind of cute so you can follow me for a while I'll keep you in line"
At the black hyena's comment, Kivu smirked, and padded faster to stay next to her. Kind of cute, huh? He went a little pink, but then shot a toothy grin Frittilaria's way.
"Of course, of course," he nodded, giving a low laugh as he did, "I do my best to look charming. And I think I will be able to trust a guard like you to keep me in toe, believe me. You look like a strict one. I'd better be fearful, then."
He said this light-heartedly, though, and as they ran faster, he whooped excitedly. He wondered where they were going, so fast, so eagerly. What was around the corner? He couldn't wait to see. Aaaah, packlife.
"I can definately keep you organised."
"Perfect," he remarked with a crooked smile, "My organisation skills are a mess."
It was kind of true, after all.
"So, where are we going off to, Miss..." he paused, the name stuck on his tongue, "Miss Private Guard Frittilaria. Where abouts are we off to?"
He could smell something, and noticed a few vultures swooping in the air nearby. Aaaah, vultures, wonderful vultures. A tell-tale sign of something deliciously dead.

Frit grinned when he called her that, silly boy. "They call me Frit, my names far too long for most of the meat heads around here and I suppose you can be free to use it too."
Her nose shot in the air when she scented what ever had died on the graveyard borders. Laughing she bolted for the large black vultured her tail lashing behind her as she, instead of going for the thing they were eating, attacked a vulture instead. Scavanging was all well and good, but vultureds were a decent meal.
Her jaws snapped tight around one of the big birds necks as it was slow to take off from it's meal. She ragged her head to make sure it was dead before dumping it by the beat they had been eating.
Why was it that things always came to die here? It wasn't only elephants, an old wilderbeast had apparantly decided this was it's last resting place. The vultures had hardly touched it either. Well, it was meal time any way. Her head lifted then as she remebred the brown hyena was behind her. "Come on then, I'll let you share it." She raised a brow, you had to be ruthless in a graveyard, but there was always room for a friend an ally, esopecially if said ally was cute. "We'll take the bird lump back to the main pack when we're done." Without another word then she flicked her fringe from ehr eyes and dug in to the rather rank carcass. She did so enjoy day old meat it had so much more flavour to it.

"Frit," Kivu tried out the new nickname, and found it rolled much more easily off his tongue, "Yeah, that's better. Only one syllable, too, helps with the pronounciation."
He grinned, and then ambled over to Frittilaria's side. There was certainly no mistaking that scent... rotting flesh, flies, the stale-iron tang of blood on the air - a wilderbeast!
He pulled to the beast's side, salivating, and pushed back the urge to dig in. He hardly noticed the alarmed squawking of the doomed vulture - he paid no attention to the birds whatsoever. Now, he was fixated on the juicy animal that lay before him. Suddenly, Kivu snapped out of his 'trance' as a flurry of feathers fluttered past.
"Nice catch," he commented, grinning wildly at the dead bird at the female's feet, "Though, I do love a good wildbeast. Thanks for the meal, I guess."
Kivu couldn't hold himself back any longer... as soon as Frit had taken the first bite, he was into the creature's side, ripping and tearing at the foul-smelling animal.
"The recently deceased... are so... tasty... aren't they?" he said, taking breaths between eating and gulping down food, "This is great!"
He let out a fast whooping call to show his excitement, and his tongue dangled greedily from his mouth, licking and coating the beast's flank in saliva. His muzzle was red with blood, and his stomach was full.
"I could get used to this," he laughed, feeling more content than ever, and pulling savagely at the dead animal, though trying his best to make sure that Frittilaria had a larger share than he... after all, he was the intruder.

((sorry this took me ages to reply to I'v been kinda busy / stressed out XD!))
Frit chuckled as he spoke of the dead beast in awe, yes they did taste good and she wasn't about to waste her time yakking while it was going to the ants. Digging in further her powerful jaws tore and ripped at the skin, flesh and bones which she ate without discrimination. She knew full well not to waste a meal and she was quiet for a long tiem until ehr belly well and truely bulged and she couldn't eat another bite. Shaking her blood spatterd mane from her eyes she sat and licked her lips a smirk spreading accross her dual toned face.
"Don't get too used to it, it's not every day something wanders in to die, eat your fill now because this is your weekly meal you're eating." She looked him up and down and couldn't help but smile as she watched him eat. He was a nice looking male, perhaps she would ask mafa if she could have him, after all, she was desirous of a male in her life and rasuli had all but vanished of late, she hadn't seen the grey and dark splotched male for a very long time.
She was after all old enough now to take a male if she wanted one, the question was should she just take the first one that wandered in off the pridelands or should she bide her time? Well, the best way around this was to test the mottled male, though how she was going to do that was questionable. He at least aggreed with her and he ate well, well those were things to start with. "when you're finished.." she paused wondering if he ever would be done in his goreging. "Maybe I'll take you to the edge of the lions lands, those hairy kitties you have to watch for them, they'll bite you soon as look at you. Theives and mongrels and nothing else." She snorted, though as she said these things she watched him curiously, guaging his reactions and admireing his coat, though she knew full well it wouldn't stay pretty for very long in the grave yard.

(( xD Thassokay, Syr! <3 Don't worry about it at all! Take your time, too, there's no rush with replying! ^___^ ))
"The lion's lands..." Kivumbi'wingu hardly raised an eyebrow. As a newcomer to the Graveyard, he held little hostility for the creatures that had once just passed him by in his rogue days. Of course, he'd heard little of the Maziko Pride, and not very much of the war between hyena and lion. A few around the Graveyard had hinted of it, he supposed, but as of yet, he didn't really understand anything. Better to trust Frit... she was, after all, his superior, and the one it seemed who would lead him around the Graveyard and help him learn about his surroundings.
"Lions aren't all that," he said this rather hesitantly, mostly because he'd only glanced at them in passing. Kivumbi hadn't yet actually... fought one. He'd never had a reason to. Slowly, he gulped, realising that there were things that he didn't know about this 'paradise' of a packland. He was so naive.
"Well, I suppose a good dinner calls for a good explore. I take it the lions are enemies of ours, Miss Frit?"
He grinned, flashing blood-tainted teeth, that had only minutes ago been a sparkling white.
"I can handle a little danger. I may be new to the life of a pack, but the art of conflict isn't really a mystery to me. Just let one of them lions come at me, I'll give them a good roughing up."
Of course, Kivu had no idea that Frit was planning something.

Frittilaria gave a short smirk as she watched him. "I'v told you, lions are the scum of the earth, you should learn that fast or else your tail will end up on the wrong side of Mafa, and trust me, you don't want that!" she snapped flickering her white flock of hair from those dark eyes once again.
"Just follow me and mind your feet, and most of all, be quiet." She gave a further smirk, her eyes dancing as she slipped throught he bones. Frittilaria was adept at shifting through the bones a black shadow, her white stripes melding with the bones almost. She stopped at an invisable border, though clearly it was a place of lions, it reaked of their scent "This is the boundry line. Don't come here alone those damn lions patrol here and if you're caught they will kill you understood?" She gave a little snap of her teeth and headed off down the heavily scented line.
"Lets go and find us some fun hmm?" She gave a short hyena laugh and glanced at the male with a look of pure seduction, a coy smile lacing her dark maw. She just had to find a lion now, then the fun would begin and she'd test this new male for mafa and for herself.

Kivu found himself caught unaware by her seductive glance, and turned away a little, shuffling uncomfortably. Suddenly, he had a sense that Frit wasn't just showing him around... no, she seemed much to cunning to be giving him a simple tour. But what was she planning?
He trod on by her side, looking around the wasteland that were the borders... he could smell the heavy scent of lions in the area. Not nice ones, either... these guys had been on patrol often. Often enough to try and keep out hyenas, he supposed. He did as Frittilaria told him, and didn't make a sound as he passed through the borders - treading sure-footedly, his earthy fur melting into the ground, and the whites of his coat with the bones.
"Let's go - find us some fun -"
The words rushed past Kivu's ears swiftly, and he looked uneasily into Frit's eyes, tempted to fall under her spell - but he shook his head, and looked away. Women, they were tricky beasts.
"Fun, huh?" he smirked, but one could still see that he was doubtful, "Well, it's not like me to deny anyone of that. Bring it on, I say, Frit. Bring it on."
He was all words, really. Somehow he knew that this was more than just a 'fun' day out.

Her long muzzle twitched as she padded onwards downthat reaking line her tail cirled high, her head low, as she loked for that target, the thing she wanted most. Why were there never any lions about when she needed them? Rolling her midnight blue eyes, she stopped mid step. There was soemthign there though she doubted it was a lion, it was much too small. Tilting her nose to the air she rolled her eyes. "Never any lios about when you need them, clearly they are afraid of rats." She sat then, her tail lashing rather irritably. So much for fidning a lion and making Kivu attack it. She glanced to the bones wheer she had heard the sound and watched the rat skitter by between the bleached bones.
Turning her somewhat miffed gaze on the adult male she blew her white bangs from her eyes and fixed him with a very serious gaze. "Maybe you'll just have to proove yourself to me another day." That smirk again then as she got to her foot paws and padded off the way she had come, she was fairly satisfied that he'd followed her at least, that he'd walked behind her like a little dog on a leash. It was an admirable quality for him and that at least made her smirk both inwardly and outwardly. "You'll come and share my spot with me, I'll make sure you're trained the way mafa wants you to be." Nodding she picked hp her pace throwing a sideways glance at the oddly coloured male, well oddly coloured to her any way. Yes,s he was happy with this set up, she needed to claim somone to boss about, someone whom she could dominate, somone whom she could, through them, proove that she was one of the packs best assets. Maybe Kivu wasn't her best choice, but he would do for now.
