Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, all fighting games that we have played at one point and has influenced the video game industry in one way or another. It used to be my favorite type of video game. I was told I was pretty sweet with Cammy in Marvel versus Capcom II.

I want to know what your views are on fighting games. Do you like tham? Why? Why not? What makes them tick? What makes them stink?

Tekken 4 is pretty good, man. You should pick it up. Tekken 5....PS3...so, I can't touch it. Because I don't have it.

I've never really been a big fan of Tekken. Unlike Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, Tekken doesn't really have the power system that I like. Sure there's teh whole aura punching thing, but that's about it.

When I play a fighting game, I want people shooting crap from their hands or, spitting acid...something.

Naruto Ninja Taisen 4 is the perfect example. You got your basic punch/kick fighter, but you also throw in some Jutsus and you got a good game that will interest me for weeks.

I don't have a PS3 either, so I can't pick it up. *sigh*
The newer version don't look very good to me, though. My favorite is Tekken 2.

I'm a fan of Tekken Tag. Tee hee! I think I still have it somewhere. Maybe I will play it tonight. Ha ha!

I have been playing Tekken since the PS1. Tekken 5 for the PS2 is okay, and I have seen the latest edition (which is on PSP) in the arcade. But, I'd rather have characters using special abilities, like in Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I have the SF Alpha Anthology, which introduced the Super Combo Attacks, and the Custom Combos.

Isn't that out for the PS2? And yes, super moves are always super fun. I tend to find myself in a less competative mood when I play Marvel versus Capcom 2 compared to Tekken 5. I guess I enjoy it more.

Have you seen Tekken 6 for the PS3? I think the characters look great. But I keep wondering when are characters like Xiaoyuo going to actually grow up instead of looking like a little girl. What I love most about Tekken is the storyline. They stick to the storyline and I love it! The characters age, based ontheir background of course.

The baclground for Tekken 6 is beautiful in my book. I love the extreme attention to detail.

Jack-6 scares me. He looks like a robot. Before he looked like a robot that looked like he was built to look human. The image I saw, robot.

Of course, the cut scenes are just gonna kick ***, which will be exciting....for those that have a PS3, I mean. stare

I love Tekken Tag Tournament because it brought a lot of characters back to fight against. The music is pretty kickass, too.

Tekken Tag was awesome, especially when you find out the perfect pairings. Jun and Jin Kizamma, Baek and Hworang, Armor King and King, Kazuya and Devil....I totaly pwned my friends on that game.

I pretty much paired them up that way, as well. Put all the similar characters together, and you're pretty much unstoppable.

Now time for a surprise. A fighting game called Naruto Clash Of Ninja, is actually good. Now they probably did this on accident, but the game requires strategy and quick reflexes. Now you don't have to learn combos, but instead use your brain to play. You have to play like chess almost. Make sure your chakra bar is high enough to teleport, but you still need to keep it for your special. My range is far, so if I can use kicks to move them back, I shhould be set. It is actually fun, but I suggest you only play with people who don't suck. Try playing one and two, it will keep you busy for a while. Also, take after my family. If you are going to challenge someone to a match of Naruto, then hide somewhere and jump out at them yelling "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A NINJA SHOWDOWN!"

You're right, that is a surprise! eek

Tekken is pretty much my favorite. I love all of them, but I thought 4 was too slow paced. The action just didn't seem to move so fast, it was just, I don't know, eh. 5 picked that up, and brought back arcade versions of Tekken 1-3. Devil Within was a really really bad replacement for Tekken Force.
