Rules: ~ No posting in this thread unless it's your test. ~ Limited to 4 posts. You can use less. ~ You have 2 weeks to finish your rp ~ Must use the battle field type assigned to you ~ You create a monster of your choice ~ Have fun!
1~Ice- Pretty simple with this one. The floor becomes solid ice. There are random chunks of ice protruding from the floor. And of course, you have little to no traction.
2~Desert- Pretty much nothing but massive sand dunes. You sink down into the sand, which slows you down a LOT. If the wind blows, the sand gets kicked up, which obscures vision.
3~Open Field- A plain grassy field with nothing on it.
4~Ocean- A mini ocean about 40 feet deep. There are five floating platforms for battlers to stand on. The plat forms bob around and it's really hard to keep your balence on them.
5~Dense Forest- The arena is packed from wall to wall with dense, tropical trees. As in any tropical jungle, there are lots of vines and other such things to get tangled up in.
6~Land of Fire- Parts of the arena floor sink away, leaving behind pits of lava. Also, pillars of fire erupt from the floor periodicly
7~Concrete- A plain concrete floor.
8~The Abyss- Near complete darkness engulfs the arena. Dark energy is abundant in this field.
9~The Sanctuary- Opposite of the Abyss. Light energy fills the arena. Its very bright!
10~No floor- The floor drops away leaving a pit filled with spikes. There are levitating platforms at varrying heights, going all the way to the top of the arena. It's hard to jump from platform to platform, and trust me, you don't want to fall.

Yuki made his way into the testing room, wondering why on earth he was doing this. The vampire winced slightly at his luck when he saw what his testing room was. “It bloody figures.” He moaned, in an accent that sounded vaguely English, but with a Japanese tinge to it. Looking out at the expansive desert around him, and feeling the sun burning down on his black cloak, he sighed. A light breeze blew the some sand into the air around him, as well as blowing a few stray stands of jet black hair against his pale face, but he didn’t pay much mind to that. His black boots were sinking into the sand, which was rather annoying as well.
“Well, best get on with it then.” Yuki muttered to himself, and began walking, not entirely sure what he was looking for. The vampire figured he’d find it eventually.
As his pocket watch clicked away happily in his inner pocket, he began to notice that his cloak, while protecting from that damn ball of fire in the sky, was going to be a liability to his cause. Whatever that cause happened to be, that is. It seemed to insist on blowing into dunes and generally just getting in his way. Though, between being slowed down and burning to death, he knew which one he’d take.
Though, the vampire realized, there was the option of going insane from hunger as well. Not physical, mortal hunger, but the immortal, bloodsucking hunger. Bugger, today wasn’t going well. “What didn’t I eat beforehand?” Yuki growled to himself, annoyed. “…right, because I was spending time with Koo...Miss Kiwadoi and forgot, that’s why. I’m such an idiot.” He wished he had a wall to hit his head on. That wouldn’t help the problem, per-say, but he’d feel somewhat better afterward. Or something like that, anyway.
The sun burned brightly on against the blue horizon, and Yuki marched on across the sandy dunes, the wind occasionally gusting and making sand fly in his face - all in all, it was a very bothersome experience. A dull flapping noise could be heard off in the distance, so far off that only a person – or, in this case, undead – with highly attuned senses could hear it. Yuki, however, tried not to think about what it might be,

About an hour of walking mindlessly in the desert, Yuki sprawled over as best he could without exposing his body. Lord, did this desert never end? It had to end at some point, it was in an exam room for pity's sake! The vampire glanced up at the endlessly blue sky, wondering when the sun might pop back into view over his hood and incinerate his face. He was honestly too tired to care, but not tired enough to not worry about it.
"Bloody Hell..." He murmured, closing his eyes for a moment and resting. He'd need to save the energy for whatever was following him, he knew that much. From the sound of it's screeching, it was a large bird of some sort. Not one of this plane of existence either. Well, hopefully, it wouldn't cause him too much trouble...
Though, knowing how sadistic Glissa could be, he knew that was wistful thinking. In fact, knowing the demoness, it would be the biggest bloody bird in the universe. Or damn well close to it. Meaning he'd probably have to use more of his 'abilities' than he'd like to. Lose more control than he'd like to. It was bad enough when he was interrupted during his blood lust, but to divulge that far into his darkness...?
"Please don't let it come to that." He muttered. Yuki lay there for quite a while, the sand almost covering him by the time he decided to rise. It seemed as if the sun was in the same place as it was when he started, but that honestly couldn't be, could it? But then, anything could be in this crazy, topsy-turvy testing room he was in.
The flapping was getting closer. Yuki didn't even need his demonic hearing abilities to tell. The bird cawed out again, an ear piercing wail that would have made lesser creatures eternally deaf. The vampire sighed, and prepared himself for a fight, readying himself in case he had to do something he did not quite want to do.
The monstrous bird flew into view finally, a few moments later. Yuki tilted his head upward as high as he dared to inspect it - he was already risking much more solar exposure than he'd like, and didn't want to make matters worse by losing his hood as well. The creature was a maroon color - as far as Yuki could tell, the glare was too bright to be sure - with a mustard yellow, hooked beak. He couldn't be sure of the strength of said beak, but, judging by its thirty-foot wing span, he could safely assume it wasn't a harmless little problem.
Dive bomb! Yuki rolled over on the sand to miss the beak of the creature, which gouged a large ditch into the ground as it ascended again. It was definitely safe to assume he didn't want to be hit by that... He winced as he saw the painfully sharp ridges along its beak. The creature might not do much physical damage to him purely by that diving attack, but it would stun the vampire long enough for it to do something more devastating.
Quickly returning to his feet as the bird circled above his head, Yuki weighed his options. He could try to fight it head on, hand to talon combat. The vampire would definitely sustain major injuries from that option, so he shelved it for the time being. His vampiric powers, however...they'd take a great deal of his energy to use, but they'd get the job done with little real damage.
...but then, the control...
He shook his head, he didn't want to risk going to those depths to win. Not just yet. Perhaps the demonic bird would simply grow tired and fly away, he mused. Perhaps...
Perhaps he should've been paying attention to the fight itself, rather than the implications of how to fight it.
The bird swooped down for a second pass, its large, razor-sharp talons digging into his back. "ARGH!" He cried out, trying to wiggle out of its grasp. The vampire reached his hands up and dug his now-growing nails into its claws, drawing its ghastly green blood, spilling it all over his jet black hair. The creature screeched in pain, loosening its claws and dropping Yuki onto the sandy ground below.
...
He felt somewhat naked. And sizzlingly warm. Was that smoke he smelled?
"Bugger." The vampire moaned, looking up at the cloak that was still attached to the damn thing's claws.
Suddenly, the 'burning to death' option seemed a bit more likely than any starvation he might face.

"Right..." He thought, feeling his skin beginning to sizzle and crack. "I've got...two or so minutes until there's lasting damage, and five or so until I just die entirely. Lovely." Well, there was no way around it now. Losing control was vastly better than dying. The vampire glanced upward at the giant bird demon and followed the trail of his cloak within the beast's claws.Yuki lowered his head, closing his eyes. The instincts...the thrill and drive of the kill, the blood gushing from his victim. His tongue lapping wildly through the ooze, the warm body chilling beneath him...These instincts, these desires...they would do themselves just fine. He knew that, in the end, it wouldn't be a matter of retrieving his cloak and fighting the beast...
It would be a matter of killing the beast and claiming his property from its cold, decaying claws.
It was just a matter of unlocking the door.
The wind kicked up, bringing a new wave of sand up, which temporarily stalled the demon above. Yuki felt his chance. "Fifty nine..." The dark haired vampire counted aloud, to keep a tally. There wouldn't likely be the need for two full minutes, not if he knew himself half as well as he thought he did. He raised his hand, and licked the blood off them. The sensation nearly brought him to his knees, and, against his better judgment, he let the urges overtake him. His hair blew wildly in the wind. The gentile Yuki had gone. In his place...
In his place was the hunter. The killer of the night. The ruthless being without any self-control. Any reason.
...unless, of course, the reason involved removing the head off of a living being. Then...then, he had plenty of reason.
His pale skin cracked as he grinned wildly, devilishly, up at the bird. "Come and get me then."
The bird dove at him again, screeching an ear-piercing wail as it aimed directly at Yuki's head. Instead of side-stepping the beast, the vampire leaped onto its back. Holding on with only his legs, he felt the orgasmic delight of his nails edging themselves into razor-sharp claws. His skin, by this time, was riddled with cracks...scars...his flesh was on fire from within. But he didn't notice. He was too enthralled with the taste of the liquid to even care anymore. The sun inched closer as the bird ascended back into the heavens, and the fireball made a point of mercilessly reeking vengeance on Yuki's back.
"Thirty." Holding onto the feathers with one hand, he reared his other back into the air gracefully, and slammed the claw into the birds back, piercing one of its lungs. The blood oozed over the vampire as he pulled it out, smirking. Before tossing it carelessly away, he gave it a lick. Bit into it, savoring the bloody tissue with every fiber of his being. He growled with delight as the bird wailed loudly from the intensity of the pain, losing its balance, plummeting to the earth below.
The dirt kicked up as they collided, the bird whimpering helplessly as Yuki tore into his innards. The vampire ripped out the creature's heart with a sickening snap, which ended the bothersome noise soon enough. The treasure trove. The real prize of the hunt. It gave a final, pathetic beat as he bit into it, the blood running down his face, dripping onto the cooling feathers. He moaned in ecstasy as he finished it, his burning face wild with delight. Drunk on the lust, he tore at it until little else remained, lapping up any remaining, easily accessed blood that had spilled during the carnage.
He calmly slid off what remained of the dead body, and picked up his cloak, tossing his carelessly around his body. "One." Yuki said, simply.

His blood red eyes were glazed over, still drunk on the blood, several minutes later. Yuki smiled ruefully as his weary, guilty mind came back to him. 'The hunt was over, and here returns the sane one.' He thought. The vampire looked away from the body. From the death. He was numb to it, numb to the moral complications of it all - he had to be...but not numb to the sight before him. He could never handle the sight of a broken, bloody body. He could never take looking at his claws, knowing that they did that.
It was no use musing over it. Crying over it. It was his life. He killed to live. Blood was his mistress, and death would always be its bringer. There was no sense in it, there would never be any sense in it.
...and yet...
"Oh, shut up." He mumbled to himself, falling backwards onto the bloody sand with a loud thud.

Length and Pacing: Right away I notice that the posts start and end shorter than the middle ones. Try and keep them evened out.
General Grammer rules: This is my most critical area of the entire grading system. You managed slide by with only minimal mistakes. Congradulations.
Personality: I love immediately how you brought up Koori as a distraction. Not to mention the wall to hit Yuki's head on. I adore the part where you mention being in the exam room yet still walking for an hour or so. Great Job with personality.
Use of Enviroment: Perfect. Ok, so nothing can truly ever be perfect, but the use of your environment was genius. That I can say.
Details: In awe. I felt like I was there.
Overall: I believe you deserve a A- or 81 credits

Length and Pacing: Your posts had a very nice length and pacing, except for the last one. Though the little bit there was excellent, you could have included it in the third post and simply eliminated the last one all together.
General Grammar Rules: As always, you grammar is immaculate.
Personality: Yuki is a vampiric sex god, and you can't describe him any better.
Use of Environment: I like how you made Yuki so annoyed at the sand. Very good job!
Details: :drools: They are so amazing! Even the carnage was enthralling.
I give you a A or 85 credits
