Ever turning on the ******** TV tonight. mad
So MSNBC and some other channels were rerunning footage of today's March for life bullshit in washington D.C. since you know it's roe v wade day.
Not only were most of the speeches that these people were giving were pissing me off - but what pissed me off the most were these women holding up signs in the background saying "I regret my abortion"
So that means just because you regreted YOUR CHOICE you stupid whore that you have to take away that option from everyone else, even from women who can potentially DIE FROM A PREGNANCY?!
Well excuse me, I just regretted having that bowl of chocolate Godiva ice cream two hours ago, not only was it delicious but probably quite fattening so now I'll have to exercise a bit harder, but just because I regreted having that bowl of ice cream, does that give me the right to suddenly just say "NO MORE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM FOR ANYONE"?
What about the women who regret having their periods, should we just ban all periods?
Or the women who regret ever wearing a bra?
We can get into some really stupid stuff that some women regret having done, but why just because - you regret it means you suddenly have the right to take that away from everybody else?
I don't get that.
I really don't - if that isn't pure selfishness then I don't know what is.
So what do you regret?

So someone wanna explain to me why the ******** we're not marching today?
Why isn't there a March of Choice with people holding up signs saying "Hey, just because you didn't think about your abortion before hand and had it as a knee jerk reaction even though you're a pro-life catholic (Yeah, you know we know that you get them!) doesn't mean that other people should lose their basic rights.
PS: You're a jackass!" placards?

yup. i hate that argument. so, just because someone's body rejects an organ that was transplanted that means we should ban organ transplants? how pro-life of them. surprised
i regret ever going to work today. i got written up because i was trying to do 1,000 things at once and my cash drawer came up 20 dollars short. i hope i don't lose my job. sad

Jazzed - there was a HUGE march organized by a few pro-choice, feminist groups out there about 3 or 4 years back. That's the last time there was a march that I can remember. I didn't know about it until a few days after it happened so I didn't go... I was so eager to go the following year only to find that they never made plans to do it again. sad

When I was in grad school, I was in an on campus pro-choice group that was headed by a woman who regretted her abortion. She told me that not a single day went by that she didn't think about it and feel bad about it. But she wasn't so narrow-minded to believe that she represents all women in the country. I'd really love to see a sign that says "I regret my abortion BUT I'M PRO-CHOICE ANYWAY." I wouldn't be able to carry it, but it would be great to see.
