This series is far too widespread for NO ONE to have heard of it.
32 (?) books and growing. I'm pretty sure Piers Anthony intends to continue the series until he dies, sad as that thought is.
So, an open discussion about Xanth then.
Who out there liked the series? I know I did. xp

I've liked what I've read of it, though I've only read up to Harpy Thyme and then got lost on what book came next. THough Spell for Chameleon has been my favorite of the series, with Harpy Thyme a close second.

It is a pretty strange series as far as order goes. After "Isle of View" you can pretty much read almost any book after it out of order and still have somewhat coherent comprehension.
I think my favorite is probably the Pet Peeve. It's fairly new and highly entertaining.
Then again, I just love puns. xd

I've made it up to Xone of Contention before I stopped reading Xanth. I probably should pick them up again...

Xone of Contention was good, but I preferred Pet Peeve. Seriously (POSSIBLE SPOILER), a bird borrowing the voice of it's perch to insult? Definately original pun-work.
Has anyone submitted a pun to the author? I'm thinking about sending a few in to the author for either the next book or the one after that (if he lives long enough). He actually uses them, which is pretty funny, since most people I know couldn't think of anything remotely similar to a pun.
Maybe Piers Anthony is just getting lazy. xp

Anyone still reading these?
I read quite a few of the first books, but after a while the recycled plots got to me. All of Piers Anthony's books started sounding the same, new puns or no new puns. (and not just the Xanth books)
