How common are non-symptomatic pregnancies? I mean the kind where you're on BC and have regular, normal periods.
Edit: I am not asking if I am pregnant, nor am I asking for advice. I am asking how common this anomaly occurs. If you don't know, or don't have an opinion, then please don't post.

Well, if there is a chance you are pregnant, you should stop takign the pill. It has been known to cause birth defects. I'm a little confued about your question. What kind of pregnancy do you mean? Could you rephrase?

How common is it to get pregnant but to have no symptoms whatsoever. Like, still having a regular period, with a normal flow every month.

While not all women have the classic early pregnancy symptoms, such as morning sickness, most women do not have regular periods while they are pregnant. Also, the birth control pill (if that is the birth control that you are on) is over 95% effective at preventing pregnancy. So if you wondering if you are pregnant even though you are on the pill and are having regular periods, I am going to venture a guess of "probably not." I don't know the details here though, so if for some reason you really think you might be pregnant, then stop taking the pill, as cheese suggested, and see your doctor right away.

You can't give an exact statistic because each women's body is different. Some women might have miscarried before realizing they were pregnant. While not a "true" period, I think a lot of women at least know someone who experienced this. It's hard to pinpoint exact statistics, but with the quote below, at least 30% of women experience bleeding in their first trimester, which not exactly what you're looking for it shows it's not uncommon. http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/pregnantperiod.htmlhttp://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,6004,00.html Quote: Many women can experience episodes of bleeding and spotting during pregnancy. Bleeding is especially common in the first trimester and about 30% of pregnant women experience bleeding during this time. Although fewer women bleed during the second and third trimesters, spotting is still possible and not all that uncommon. However, though this bleeding may resemble menstruation, it actually is something different altogether.

Don't get angry at us. We're trying to answer your question. So you want to know how common it is for women to be on birth control, have normal periods, no symptoms of pregnancy, and yet still be pregnant? I am still going to say that it is not common at all. Did you want actual numbers or statistics or something? I am not sure if anyone will be able to give you that. It's such a rare scenario that you painted a picture of. Most women on birth control don't get pregnant, most pregnant women have at least one pregnancy symptom (missed period is usually the first and probably the most common symptom), and most pregnant women do not have a regular period throughout their pregnancy. So when you put that all together, that almost never happens.

I had a manager who was pregnant and had a regular period throughout. She did not get sick or experience any symptom of pregnancy. She had just given birth and throught it impossible to be pregnant again in a month.
She went to an amusement park and this guy wouldn't let her on a ride because she was "obviously pregnant". She thought he was calling her fat. Months later she was upset that she was gaining weight, went to her doc.. and well.. she was going to have her second kid. She still had a regular period for the entire pregnancy.
So.. it's possible.

If you want to ask a question, you should make your own thread. You should see a post new thread button at the top. Now to get to your question. Well, yeah, you could be pregnant. Anytime that you have sex, there is a chance. Now what concerns me here is that I am not sure if you used birth control. You say that you didn't have sex for long and that he did not orgasm as if that some how lessened your chances of becoming pregnant. It's not like pregnancy only happens when the sex lasts a really long time and the man has an orgasm. We can get pregnant from literally less then one minute of sex, and even if neither person has an orgasm. That's why the pull out method does not work. There is sperm in pre-ejaculate. If you plan on being sexually active, please look into this stuff before doing actually doing it. There's a lot to learn. You have to be safe and use protection if you don't want to get pregnant, and like I said, the pull out method does not count. That being said, there's no guarantee that you're pregnant even though it sounds like you might have had unprotected sex. Stress, changes in diet, and many other things can cause your period to be late. Irregular periods are especially common in teens. Emergency contraception works, but I believe you have to take within about two days of having sex, so I think you're too late to take it, unless they came out with some new stuff that I don't know about, which is possible. You can buy a pregnancy test at the store or go to Planned Parenthood or Family Planning.
