after I watched the episode where lois kisses clark (thinking he's oliver... because she thinks ollie is the green arrow) I was wondering if they would ever fall in love or something...

well it kind of has to happen... but not till Superman is "born" you know, stay true to the original idea they have done a good job so far... i think

If Smallville tries to follow some DC canon (which it does from time to time) they'll end up marrying after several years of angst and Clark's true self getting in the way of his alternate I dentity of Clark Kent.

Of course there is something between Clark and Lois.
Yeesh it seems hardly anybody has seen the Superman movies or read any of the comics, with a few exceptions lol kudos to those of us in the know.

Yep. Watch all of the the Superman movies and then the most recent one, Superman Returns and you'll see that.
Even Justice League, JLU- all of that.
On Smallville, nope.

It is obvious that they will eventually end up together. Classic couple of DC comics.

As far as I can remember from the movies, Lana was never really mentioned.(I could be wrong) Rent a few Superman movies, the older, better ones. The new one was good, but nobody can compete with Christopher Reeve. R.I.P. Christopher Reeve...gone but not forgotten.

For the information of those who think that Clark and Lana EVER work out...they don't. Watch a Superman movie or three. Clark marries Lois (eventually) and Lana marries Lex. Get with the picture, guys...you can't like smallville without having watched the superman movies...that's like blasphemy or something. smile

Lana marries Lex?? What happened to Pete??? And of course I know about Lois but Lana was the only love interest in Superman III (and she was played by Annette O'Toole!) - the entire story revolved around her and her son... It's funny because I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they only replaced Lois with Lana for that movie because Margot Kidder (Lois) was on bad terms with the new director: they cut her out and only gave her like, 3 lines... edit: "Margot Kidder had less than five minutes of screen time, with only twelve lines in total, in this film after she expressed her disgust to the producers over the firing of Richard Donner from Superman II (1980)." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086393/trivia

Azrael Fourth Well obviously it's not so common since some people still think he'll end up with Lana. I put the blame for that squarely on Smallville's shoulders. Fact is, Smallville is the first exposure a lot of people really got to the mythos, and the way they present it is as if Clark and Lana do end up together. "Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane" is embedded in popular culture, so you expect people to be familiar with it, but not everybody is.
