Okay, I've noticed we're all bitchy and whiny right now because we want something to happen.
Half of us want to move to a new guild, so we can have the controll we need to run the guild. The other half wants to stay, thinking we don't need the power, and that Zae would disapprove.
This Poll seeks to highlight the issue of Vice Captains, Leader, and Mods of the Guild.
Okay, so right now, a new SG Guild has been temporarily made by Nymphie to test out wether we should move the guild or not. The main reason why this has been decided is that many users complain that we need VCs or Mods. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
My Question to you, is do we honestly need these figureheads of power?
Pros:
Stickys
Announcements
GM Crap
Problem Resolution
Locking
Mod Power Actions, Etc.
Cons:
Ditch the Guild
Move on Without Zaeyde
Leave many behind
In my opinion, We don't need the Mod Powers. We don't have porn trolls, we don't have an exuberent ammount of spam. We do have our little quarrles every now and then, but we still manage to get those under control. The mod powers aren't too beneficial. It's just a tiny bonus. When we were in the thread in the GCD, did we need Mods? No. We never did. We had IHD, and Nifi in the thread, but did they ever need to do anything in the thread to keep things under control? No. (As far as I know)
Meh. Post your opinion here. Thread polls are unreliable, I'd rather you explain your answer.

 The fact that people are complaining about needing power is just childish to me. Most of us are above the age of 10, and can take care of ourselves. I think the new guild is doing the new guild thing wrong, and it is to much like this one, which has proved to be a problem. But whatever may happen, may happen.

If we're ever going to move beyond being a forum game and an off-topic subforum, we'll need to move on. New sub-forums will let us expand onto more things, such as the idea awhile back of the SG 'shop' subforum. We could also easily create a subforum for Sniper Game subgames (mule only, etc.)
Being able to change the front page and add important announcements is very nice.
We can always come back to the regular guild if Zae feels like we ditched her.
And the issue of the VCs...if we move onto a new guild we could have elections that are actually fair so that we could have decent drama management.
Meh. I'm all for the new move. But thats just me.

We need the power to:
- make stickies/announcements
- take down the said sticky/announcements when they're done(look at all the crap we have in the main forum that's OOOLD)
- move threads from forum to forum(games to archives)
- ACCEPT JOIN REQUESTS (what, you guys forgot?)
- change guild front page
Other stuff we don't really need, but is nice to have.
If you want those powers but want everyone to be equal, just make EVERYONE crew.
But honestly, I don't think the members of this guild could handle it. I mean, look what happened to the GCSG Post Secret mule.
Do we need "figureheads" of power?
No. We can have people with powers but not count them as leaders.
Do we need "powers"
I think that, yes, we do.

What difference in fairness would there be between a new guild elections, and the ones we have now?
The ability of being anonymous? Last time, we had a perfectly decent election with anonymous entries.
Sure, Nymphie posted the applications, but Toastie trusts her, and she's the captain of the new guild right now anyway, so she'd still be running the elections. Wallflower...

My opinion is that we have no clue what all the pros and cons are, nor how much they may affect us, until we try it.
I say we should all give it a fair chance, and then afterwards discuss.

We need more people. And to do this we need to be able to accept join requests and send invites.

Personally, I think that the most important thing is keeping everyone together... I would think that if Zae were here right now, that's what she'd want us to do... As long as we're together and getting along, (and of course, not throwing bad words at her, which I don't think anyone is...) then I would imagine she'd be ok with it...
IF and only IF we can keep everyone together, then I'm all for moving to a new guild... but if it would cause a rift between us, then we should see about another alternative... Iono what though... x_x
And I really doubt that it's going to kill anyone to stay or to move... which is why I really don't understand why people are going so overboard with this...
In any case, I am happy that there seem to be at least some of us (if not all of us) who are trying to think things through, and trying to actively make things better... I just hope that we all can keep an open mind in the upcoming days...
