Wings flashed as they suddenly dissapeared and something landed on the ground at the edge of the forest. It was rare to see a being other than a wild dog on the edge of these forests, but the large white and red creature stretched out his spine and trotted into them rather unabashedly. It was rather strange to see a lion of that size on the savannah at all, let alone in the lands of another.
"Food is so scarce now adays..." Athrun muttered to himself, his paws took him along the edges of the forest. ninja

Ok, that was.. odd.
He had been a content wild dog, lazing at the edge of the forest, his bright fur becoming very pale in color under theshade of the trees, keeping him a little less obvious. But now, flying lions weren't obvious. He sat up, giving away his stone-still position to blink at the creature, who was...
Trotting this way?

The blindfold over his eyes made it look strange as the lion dodged every tree in his way. The abscense of wings made it a little easier for him to do, but still he was rather large compared to the others that normally inhabited the groves of trees. So it came as no suprise when his tail would hit against the trunks idly.
A flash of gold and white met his sharp sky blue eyes as the Eye of Horus shimmered to betray his watching the other. The nose was what made him realize he was staring at a wild dog seconds before the rest of the creature's body came into sight. Athrun froze as he was walking and stood still, his white ears swivvled forward and the tuft of dark red fur on his tail swishing in the fallen leaves. Moonlight rippled over the heiroglyphs on the old god's back as he took one more step forward and rolled his shoulders. It wasn't in Athrun's personality to open his muzzle and say hello, but then he listened better than spoke so he figured it would work in this instance as well. ninja

A wild dogs large ears were more sensitive than a lios, so even in this distance, Ouro could sort-of hear the rattling of of leaves as the lions tail swept over them. He blinked once more, ear swishing to one side then back. It was quiet, but he might as well say something.
"Hi. "

"Hello little cousin." It was a lie of course, or at least a stretch of the truth. They were hardly related at all but his way of speaking often opened up the field of conversation. "What has you all alone on a night like this? Isn't there a family or a pack you should be cosy'd up to?"
The god let the shimmering of the Eye of Horus finally stop, he'd seen all he really needed to see with his own eyes, he only needed to see with what remained of his heart after that. Physical appearence just annoyed him after all, usually when he saw it then it would just be blood covered. ninja

"Hi.. Big cousin! "He didn't like staying stiff with anyone for long, so soon the scruffy ild dog grinned, tail thumping the ground with a wag. "Ouro's pack is in the forest, but he decided to just come out for a while. " He nodded.
"Who is you? " Ouro asked curiously, lifting leaves by swishing his tail over the ground.

Chuckling at the exuberance of the other, Athrun smiled so that it was possible to tell aside from his crinkled eyes behind the blindfold that he was smiling. The wild dogs that he'd met in the past hadn't been this happy, but then the ones that he'd met had problems that were akin to his own. It was taking the god quite a bit to be able to smile past the fact that both of his sons were gone and his mate was wandering again. He wouldn't call himself over-protective, in fact he was quite the opposite, but Athrun did worry for her.
A paw smacked to his nose for a moment and the god let his thoughts die down again.
"Well then little cousin, I'm glad you aren't alone. My name is Athrun, it's a pleasure to meet you." Athrun nodded his head to the orange and white painted wolf. ninja

"I'm Ouro, is good to meet you too! " He nodded, blue eyes looking at the blindfold, and tohugh the eyes weren't visible, this was a normal place to look at.
"What is Big Cousin? " He blinked, eyes falling on the wings of the god again. Being a wild dog, he didn't beleive in lions gods, so anything was a suprize. He didn't even beleive in any wild dog gods, or jackal ones, tohugh, his adoptive mother, a jackal, had mentioned some 'Anubis' pretty often.

"Just a lion, that's all I am." Athrun said with a quirk of his muzzle once more.
Wild dogs amused him, they seemed to have so much energy stored up in their little bodies. It made him wonder why lions didn't have that and if they did why they didn't have more of it, sure there were cubs that had it but there didn't seem to be many adults that were happy with what they had. That was one of the major downfalls of creatures in general Athrun thought. ninja
