In The Mirror, Behind My Eyes Pt.1
I went to the mirror
to see a similar
and what did i gaze my eyes upon
but many reflections of me
a god i was meant to see
A fractured mirror i watched staring
nearly glaring
when there came flaring of which there were no cries
and a conference behind my eyes
to move closer and i multiply
Bend the mirror
to see a familiar face
of which you cannot disgrace
at least in this place
of the porcelain vase
Straighten the cabinet
and lose every fragment
of the local parliament
of the toilet’s
savage black
so dont lean back
from the rack of bathroom accessories
In The Mirror, Behind My Eyes Pt.2
I mouthed the words
and it was a chant i heard
a bitter rant of questions
staring into different dimensions
into the dark corners of my mind
and the flat corners of the wall
Every little deformity
then becomes one more conformity
in this world of familiar places
remembering faces you’ve never seen
in these private spaces all alone
These little words i say
that will never go away
for the memory has stayed branded
behind my eyelids, now im stranded
but some how the world has become so candid
that i dont realize im being reprimanded
for things that have been commanded
If no one heard this call
would i have just been staring at the wall?
NO i would still be acting on my own free will!
