Ahh, a music thread.
The DYBiM thread still gets a lot of newcomers; they read the first page, skim the locales that Romuel's noted, and then jump to the last few pages... and find the up-all-night music chatter that has nothing to do with the original thread. But since chattering about music IS a passion of mine (and others), here's a music chat thread.
Let it rip. smile

Balcerzak blaugh You're a big girl, tough it up. Did you see me emo-ing when nobody knew Backworld? true. t'was more of a question, though, phrased in a pessimistically witty way. ::nods::Elliedoll *chuckle* What kind of music is it, Ichi? Can you give me a genre? Or aim me at a sound bite? vykort från rio, the only song by them i have conveniently uploaded. as for the genre, i'm not totally. sonicstage (( bunny equivalent of itunes )) puts it under "punk?"

Soo... ninja What's everyone doin' that's all music related and stuffs?
I'm listening to 5/5/2000, a drone band that somebody linked me to, and browsing the sales on stonerrock.com... Which would rock if anything were in stock. emo So far, of all the things I've clicked on to check out, all they've had is a Reverend Bizarre demo full of songs I already have, and a Sabians album.

Now I've just got my doom playlist on random... Just now I finished Allure of the Earth by Woods of Ypres... And now Kuoppa - Depth by Tenhi. Both heart heart -tastic songs.

My CD collection is getting enscratchened. I've already lost most of Black Sabbath Vol. 4, and it looks like it's starting on CoC's America's Volume Dealer. gonk

Blanks are a WHOLE lot cheaper.

I've never really thought of it this way, but the vocals on Neurosis' "The Eye of Every Storm" (Mostly referencing the song here, not the whole album) are... Well... Astoundingly "heavy".
Just either Scott Kelley or Steve von Till (Gonna guess the latter) screaming really low, in a kind of far-off way, filled with genuine sadness, with a faint, really slow keyboard part behind him...
NOW OOOOOOAAAAAAATTTTHHHHH... BREAKERRRRRRRRR SINKS LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.
It's just as crushing as any riff. Pretty great, powerful moment in the song. 3nodding
