This topic has been created for the purpose of talking about your favorite type of dancing on DDR/IIDX. Do you like the steady flow of streams? Or maybe you like hitting those arrows precisely during a vocal verse. Perhaps you like chaotic patterns that leave your legs entwined. By chance you like to gallop until you feel nearby a herd of horses.

I have better luck with streaming steps in didder (when I have the energy) , but In IIDX I have an easier time if the note chart reflects the song and not anything that is obscure.

Streams are my strong point so I'd say that they are my favorite.
My problem exists in fast gallops, in fact basically chaos in general ******** me over.

I have gotten better over time with them but only after I have the chart branded into my mind were I can anticipate how the gallops will go. D:

I find consecutive steps fun. But 1/8ths are okay....1/16s send me to hell and even when there not in order.

Bag actually doesn't have any gallops. The second step in each pseudo-gallop is delayed just a little more than a regular one. Knowing that helped me pass it back in the day.
Streamy stuff is good, lots of jumps is good. Only kinds of charts I don't like are the ones that fit the music a little TOO much (sup Least 100 Seconds).

I love the Steps to Lemmings on the Run [Expert] (ITG).
16th stream, hop-step, repeat.
It's hard, but fun.

iFuturelist Oni is my favorite chart ever, so I like 16th streams and not-overkilling jumps (read; Mondo Street). Jumps tire me out anyway.

I like it when I can dance to the music: Burning Heat, On the Jazz, and Least 100 seconds being a few. Fast streams are also a lot of fun, like in parts of Xepher and DoLL. I really only like to gallop when it's 'easy' to do: Tsugaru, and its cousin, Apple Mix.
I hate Chaos though.. *Stares at Xenon* Most times I can't hear/see what's going on, and trying to dance it only makes it worse. If I remember right, Vanity Angel has a lot of chaos, but I can most times do well on it.
Jumps are cool, like in Music (Somecrazyrussian'smix (Extreme US)). Though I haven't been through a song that was mostly jumps, I hear that there are a few on SN, but I haven't unlocked those yet..
Favorite chart would have to be murmur twins. Quiet song, but quick, streamy, and well...fast. To most people (I.E, those who don't play a lot of DDR) I think fast songs are a bit more impressive to them because it looks like you're working a lot harder than you actually are.

I like cross-overs and gallops best. smile
I also like the interesting crossovers, not just back and forth. Like in sync and Saints Go Marching.
