Reikka took her sweet time sauntering slowly along the river bank, each paw moving soporifically after the other as she walked. Just near the comfortable river was a forest, which was the reason the river was a warm green hue, since it was forced to reflect the colours of the canopy towering above. Birds chirruped in a merry tone in the treetops, and the air was not stiff, but felt slow in a sense, and was thin near the river where it dispersed.
The petite Ulaya femme stopped at a spot where she could wade into a shallow part of the river, and did so only until the water was barely covering her paws. At that point she sat back and leaned forward somewhat, glancing at her green tinted reflection in the water. Lifting a paw, she matted her bangs down as the humidity was getting to them, and when she was done with her mild preening she let out a yawn.
"How nice~"
[If that's a bit long, my posts aren't always like that. Just the intro post. x3;]

(( I'm more inclined to write paragraphs and paragraphs on forum RPs anyway. xD ))
It was over for the day. Thank the Ulaya Gods! Merlin did enjoy the hunt, sure--otherwise, he would not be a Peridot Ulaya--but sometimes, it was just so time consuming to go hunt. And who wanted to hunt when they could be laying beside the lazy river, dozing quietly and ignoring the existance of the busy world?
Certainly not Merlin, that was for sure. No, he would far rather lay beside the river, as he was currently doing. The stream rushing by, the birds chirping, no other Ulaya to wake him from his noiseless slumber... it couldn't get much better than that. He stretched out and laid his head on his paws, breathing deeply and heavily to calm himself for the rest of the day. Well, calm himself until he went home to Seiana, anyway.
...Unfortunately, the voices of fellow Ulaya were the nuisances he could seemingly never escape. "How nice~" It would be nicer if the owner of the voice finished swooning over the river and began to leave.

Reikka had yet to notice Merlin's presence, as he was preparing to nap and blended in quite nicely with the scenery, which looked as if it had been carefully painted with the finest oil paints, vivid and yet soft and blurred. Rei was not particularly confident, so though she preened herself it was out of habit and not vanity, thus she spent only a couple seconds doing so before she was done. Once she was finished, she leaned further over and lapped up a little of the water, which was crisp and clean though its hue seemed green.
It was then that Merlin's presence was noted by the fae. She lifted her head, but not her neck, blinking once at the male across the river and to her right, ears tilting back some and feeling a slight tinge of embarrassment for not noticing him before. Very slightly did she open her mouth to speak, but quickly shut it and sat up.
"S-sorry for-- I mean.." She cleared her throat nervously before continuing. "I apologize if I was interrupting you. I was just about to leave in any case."
Scowling at herself for her shy stuttering, she sat for a moment still, waiting to see if he would reply before getting up to leave for a new area of the island.
