Nishi, had he been in another frame of mind and not pondering over why he was exceptionally bored right now, would have gone home. He always retired to his apartment --situated just upstairs on an offlimits level-- around the hours when the club was in it's more 'romantic' mood. The Love Love hours as it was famously named by any of the Angels he hired to play host or hostess.
Yes, he hired men also, as being particular to that side of the relationship count had made him not bothered by any 'unusual' requests. He drew the line at open intimacy between his staff and his customers though.
Yet, after such ponderous thoughts and the promise of Siskel's company tonight he still found his deriere planted firmly in his high-backed leather seated chair, up in his glass fronted office--now with it's walls transparent-- and watching the slow goings-on outside. Even with the threat of an oncoming headache and the even bigger threat of a grumpy Unigon throwing a hissy fit at his lateness in preparing dinner. He couldn't bring himself to move from his seat. His eyes settling on a patron at a time, trying to pick out someone interesting to socialise with, as , Nishi Merlin was a social butterfly.

He didn't know what brought him into the club, but Xerxes just couldn't resist the scene. The club had a theme of romance and that was something in which the starving poet was sorely lacking. Besides, he thought to himself, if he found someone who liked his looks, he might actually get something to eat for the first time all day. If nothing else, he could probably get a drink with the few dollars he had in his pockets.
Clad in all black, as would most any goth, Xerxes wore something a little more dressy tonite; a black button up shirt with the long sleeves rolled to his elbows. He raked a hand through his short white hair and looked around the room with his pale lavender eyes. There were so many people here and the music was so loud that he couldn't even think, let alone meet anyone. Should he dance? He knew he wasn't the best dancer ever, but how else was he to meet someone.
Slowly and cautiously, scanning the room with his pale eyes, Xerxes stepped out onto the dancefloor and started swaying to the beat, hoping the massive emptiness in his stomach would dissipate enough for him to feel comfortable with more movement.

Nishi smiled and winked at Ria, the female Angel hosting as DJ for tonight's dancing. The satellite stage cat-walk--used for when the angels sung and did cat-walks and company auctions-- had been ran back into the wall, the building had been designed to have mutliple functions. One being a host club where boths and tables sat around the usually on show satellite stage cat-walk.
He recieved a wink and a beckon and chuckling softly to himself, the 26 year old brunette male stood up and exited his office, taking the side of the dancefloor as he walked over to the DJ, climbing up onto the high stage/tier he took the mic and giving Ria a thumbs up let her flip to 'Public Address' and put the music volume down to near mute.
"my, my what a glorious turn-out we have tonight on our gorgeous Love Love hour! I Nishi, the owner of Club Cupid, your hearts number 1 disaster, would love to greet and thankyou all for coming tonight. Our Angels are free for any hosting needs--kept in the acceptable limits-- and to celebrate Club Cupids fifth brithday i'd like to proclaim that for the next hour any drink or meal ordered is on the house!" Nishi had stepped infront of the DJ deck and leaned against it, his pinstripe business suit still without creases and his brunette hair brushed back into a low ponytail, tied in place with a white ribbon to match his crisp white shirt.
"and to further glorify this night one guest will have the pleasure of having myself as your personal host for this evening--Ria can you set the spotlight to attomatic please? and..." the spotlight that had previously been projecting different color and pattern gobos on the floor and wall had switched to a pink light and was sailing around the room blissfully, until it finally landed on a white-haired goth boy on the dancefloor.
"..ah ha!and it looks like I struck a looker too! you my dear sir have the honor of having me as a dinner host!" chuckles accompanied this and Ria behind him giggled behind her hand, Nishi had a habit of complimenting people when others could hear it.

Xerxes immediately stopped moving as the music went down and the lights came up on a brunette man who took the place at the mic in front of the DJ. He listened intently, his empty stomach growing menacingly as soon as the host said that all food and drink was on the house. He knew he had come here for a reason.
The pink spotlight swirled around the room threateningly, but all Xerxes could manage to think about was what he was going to order to eat first. He was hardly paying attention when the spotlight turned on him and the crowd seemed to step away, leaving the gaunt, pale boy in the light. His pale eyes raised to the DJ's stand to the man standing there as he felt he had been completely stripped. Blushing profusely, he heard the announcer vaguely say something about being his personal dinner host.
In an attempt to avoid the snickers rising from the crowd, Xerxes immediately strode toward the DJ's stand and whatever future awaited him. As he waited for his host to come down, he tried to quell the panic rising in his veins about being singled out. "Figures that I'm one of the only goths here and I'm the one singled out..."

"I wouldn't take too much offense to it. the spots aren't manned, they're programmed from the DJ deck to run automatically through any paths they have taken earlier tonight or in rehearsal..anyway i'm Nishi Merlin...it's only courtious that we are on a name basis no?" Nishi said as he handed the mic back up and gracefully hopped down from the stage, ignoring the stairs that were positioned back against the wall. He smiled handsomely at the boy, who looked half starved to death.
"c'mon, let's get you something to eat before you disappear completely" Nishi commented smoothly, taking the boys wrist gently in his hand and directing him over to an area sectioned off. It was a raised level, an oval shape and at the moment it was totally deserted. a bodyguard let Nishi and Xerxes pass and Nishi sat down in a booth against the low wall--reaching just up to the table--that let the club still be observed perfectly. Nishi relaxed as he snapped his fingers and a bottle of 'Red Amosa' wine was put in the holder on the end. In a bucket of Ice to keep it chilled.
"would you like a menu or shall I order our chef's special for you?" Nishi asked, leaning forward and propping his chin on his hands, smiling warmly at the boy. Macy would definately throw a fit knowing Nishi had flipped off dinner to play host to a person he had yet to know. He had seated himself across from the boy and closed his eyes and smiled in a relaxed fashion as a waiter poured two glasses of red wine for each and set them down infront of the owner and the goth boy. The waiter bowed and retired to the corner of the VIP section,Awaiting further instruction.

"I suppose that's a good idea... you can call me Xerxes if you want, or X. And I know it's a strange name. I question my parents' sanity sometimes," he replied, looking at the floor and kicking the toe of his boot against an uneven spot on the floor. But as Nishi mentioned food, his ears seemed to perk and his eyes brighten.
"By all means... food is never a bad thing!" he let Nishi grab his wrist, flinching a bit because he generally hated people touching him there; but he abided it because he was getting fed by this person. Climbing up and sitting beside Nishi, Xerxes noticed how beautiful his hair was and how healthy he looked. The crowd continued to dance around them as he nervously eyed the bodyguard and attendents serving them.
"Um... well, since you're the host, why don't you order what's best? I trust you," he looked up for the first time, meeting Nishi's gaze. He was thankful to have food and drink; so much so that he was mildly enamored with this person in a more than appreciative way. He, at the moment, would have done anything for the man. "Thank you," he mumbled at the waiter, taking the glass of wine and downing it immediately. "And thank you, Nishi... this was far too generous of you... I... um... I apologize if I seem desperate. I wish I could say my life's been easy."
Setting the glass back down, Xerxes looked hopefully and with a slight beg toward the waiter again, wanting another glass of the sweet and bitter wine. His eyes flicked from Nishi to the waiter and back again, as he found himself too humble to feel able to call upon anyone to wait on him. "C-can I have more wine, please?"

Nishi chuckled as he listened to the boy talk, he was simply enchanting, Nishi was very tempted to turn Siskel out and take the boy home and spoil him rotten. Maybe playing the Seme would be an interesting twist...his thoughts snapped away from him when he watched with surprise Xerxes down a whole glass of wine quite quickly, while Nishi himself had yet to touch his.
He picked the glass up and swirling the crimson around for a moment, took a delicate sip, his eyes sliding to the waitor who bowed yet again and poured Xerxes another glass of wine, though seemed to fill the glass almost to the brim so the boy would have his drink longer.
"mon amore, no one has an easy life but I must say yours does seem a bit hard, from the looks of such a pretty face being so deprived...i'll order the best...I hope you like steak? Our chef knows how to cook it just right, the french are exceptional cooks" Nishi said softly, reistsing the urge to touch the male's face with his hand, his skin looked smooth and yet again he pondered on the thought of kidnapping the boy from his hrash reality.

Xerxes was slower in sipping his second glass of wine, sensing slight irritation from the waiter that he'd gulped it down the first time as he filled it to the brim. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his eyes falling to the table. He put the wineglass down on the table and blushed slightly at the man's compliment. He was so charming and suave, two of the things Xerxes was most certainly not.
"Steak? That's expensive isn't it?" he asked, gulping slightly as his eyes went as large as saucers. "And French cooks? Wow... you're most definitely better grounded than I am. If I could have steak whenever I wanted I would probably be as big as a house... and twice as heavy." He chuckled, sipping the wine again, beginning to feel more relaxed as the alcohol softened his edginess. "How did you come upon all this? The money for it? Was it inherited?"

"two Steak Speiclas please Cammen, make one portion extra large" Nishi said, directly to the waiter who bowed and exited to the kitchen with their order. Nishi turned his gaze back to Xerxes and chuckled softly at all the boys questions.
"not too bad mon amore, The French cook is my best friends cousin..they both went to Cookery School together,well I quite prefer you slight of frame dear being that big must be uncomfortable no? and no, the fortune was gifted upon me on my 21st birthday when I officially left my household to pursue my own life though I am quite porud of my blossoming business" Nishi answered each question in turn, as if rehearsed and sipped his wine yet again.
He noted the boys relaxing and smiled happily, now quite pleased he had decided to gulp the wine rather than savour it. Cammen had come back outside and stood yet again in the corner, switching his gaze from Nishi who he eyed with a look of uncertainty to the dancefloor where he watched the people dance with a slight smile.

"I thought that I recognized your accent... you're French then?" Xerxes asked, his eyes out toward the crowd now. "I've always wanted to travel to Paris... it sounds like the most beautiful place. And, don't worry, I probably won't be able to afford steak anytime soon. I can hardly afford to pay rent on my apartment right now..." he sipped the wine, letting it hand tartly around his tongue and lightly stain his white lips. "... I'd be proud too if I were you. This place is so crowded!"
Grinning a bit, Xerxes raked his hand through his hair and looked over at Nishi, paying artistic attention to the details in his face for a poem he was planning on writing later on his complete love of this kind, generous person. He was exploring the contours of Nishi's neck when he realized there was a slight thud rolling against his shoe. Dammit, Lucien... I thought I told you to stay home, he thought toward the orb, leaning down nonchalantly and picked it up, stowing it beside him on the opposite side from where Nishi sat.
Just be good and don't move and we'll go home right after I eat, okay? But Lucien didn't seem to want to sit still, he vibrated and bounced slightly in place in time with the music, clearly amused with this new environment. "I... uh... I wish I could say there was a lot to say about me, but I feel pretty average," Xerxes said, trying to break the silence.

"no i'm Japanese actually...Well i'm half, my mother is English while my father is japanese" Nishi corrected him softly, sipping his wine yet again as his gaze lazily slid over to watch his kitchen staff bring out the two steak dinners and set the table appropriately.
The seasoning was put down first and then the dinners consisting of a rather large piece of perfectly cooked steak, mushrooms with a small slab of butter melting ontop of them, peas and a artistic drizzle of peppercorn sauce on the steak. Nishi nodded his head in approval as his staff left, silent for a moment as he completely missed Xerxes gaze on him,then his gaze caught sight of the small orb bouncing up and down on the booth seats.
"ah, my younger brother has one of those, though he's hatched now..Merethist is the pets name" Nishi commented softly, watching the orb with unmasked interest.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have assumed that just because you had a French chef... the 'mon amore' thing must have made me ask. That's interesting, though. I'm curious how they met then," Xerxes said, trying to be casual as the plates were brought over. He could smell the rich, hearty taste of the grade A steak and felt his stomach pinch hard in pain with hunger.
Instead of digging in, he sipped his wine a little, trying to look as suave as the man beside him. But as soon as Nishi brought his attention to the orb, he lost what he had only just started trying to build. "Oh... I guess there's no point in keeping him hidden then. See what kind of distraction you are?" he mumbled at the orb, picking it up and putting it on the table. He rolled around in a little circle then spun in place in time with the music.
"I call him Lucien," Xerxes said, picking up the fork and steak knife and cutting off just a small piece, he put it in his mouth and nearly broke down into tears with how juicy and tastey it was. He shut his eyes and couldn't stop the longing moan that quietly escaped his throat. He was tempted to gobble down the rest of the steak, but refused to let the poor, hungry part of him show anymore. "This... is the best steak I've ever eaten..."

"Ah, Alexi is rubbing off on me then....we went through school together, well junoir and high school we've been best friends since we were 5 then Alexi moved away from England and back to France to go to Chef School" Nishi replied, smiling handsomely at the youth as he observed his reaction to the food. Now, with his suspicions confirmed he smiled into his glass of wine.
"well Lucien certainly knows how to shake it" Nishi commented chuckling as he watched the orb spin around and roll, he cut a rather large chunk from his steak and ate it,swallowing. Wandering why the boy restrained himself. Nishi leaned closer to Xerxes and smiled, his mouth hovering near the males ear.
"don't restrain yourself on my account Xerxes, eat as much and as messily as you like, no one may judge you in this place without my permission" he whispered and pulling his face away returned to sipping his wine, which was topped up from his half empty status. As was Xerxes, Nishi laughed softly as he listened to Xerxes comment on the steak.
"yes, my favourite meal here"

"Mmm... mm-hmm..." Xerxes said, still savoring the steak as Nishi spoke. He was in such a state of euphoria that he hardly heard what his companion said. He was surprised a bit when he heard Nishi whisper in his ear. He could feel the small bit of air from the other's lips and it sent a strangely comfortable chill up his spine. He opened his eyes and looked at Nishi a second before virtually attacking the steak.
He gobbled down the medium-rare piece of meat, showing his true appetite. He ravaged the musrooms and peas as well, even though he wasn't the greatest fan of the little green nasties, he needed the vitamins. Finally, when the majority of his meal was gone, he replied, "I don't think he learned that from me... I'm not the best dancer. It takes me a little while to get into the beat and it depends on my mood. He seems very sure of himself... not at all worried about what he looks like."
"So... tell me more about you. What do you like to do when you're not lording over this wonderful house of sin," Xerxes smiled, hoping he wouldn't offend his host. He had noticed the many, many scantily clad angels here and there. He didn't know just what they were there for, but he had a feeling.

Nishi smiled when Xerxes outright attacked his plate and he ate a liberal ammunt as well, though at a slower pace so not to coax a bout of hiccups out. He was about to take a sip of wine when the 'house of sin' comment reached his ears and he laughed quite heartily, properly for the first time in a while.
"well now, we offer the chance to be in the company of intoxicatingly beautiful 'angels on earth'. We allow no intimate contact between angels and Patrons. I'm usually upstairs in my apartment or visiting my brothers, but at the moment i'm helping my parents move into their new house" he said, though his voice still held a note of amusement.
His arm rested on the back of the chair where Xerxes was seated his hand resting down and brushing against Xerxes shoulder by accident, though Nishi took no notice, instead he kept either glancing admiringly at the male, intoxicated by his beauty, or to the orb to watch it's comical dancing.
