He's there replacing Grissom.He's so wrong for the show.First off..he touched the body at the scene to remove her hair from her face,which is a no go.Second he talked about the crime like he commited it himself.Third in a new episode set to air next thursday(where i'm at)and he told Catherine to fake a crime scene so now the team will most likely hate her for that.Who does that??!!And who else misses Grissom?

Aww, man. I have to disagree with you there; I thought he fit in pretty well in the show. Yes, he's weird and creepily empathetic to the killer but that's what you do in profiling (or so Criminal Minds has conditioned me to think). Liev Schreiber really did well in fitting in with the group rather than naturally sticking out as the "new guy".
The body touching? Seriously bugged. And the atmoshere was very interestingly darker in his scenes. I liked it but three more episodes of it? Like the whole "fake crime scene" (spoiler?) thing, whether it turns out to be a good thing remains to be seen.

I have mixed feelings about the character on one hand it's only the first episode he's in so I'm reserving judgment on the other hand the writers are trying way to hard to make him mysterious and it just comes off as pointless and irrelevent.
But I've not been very happy with CSI this season other than the Minature killer nothing about the show has really been worth watching.

I miss Grissom always the new guy he is ok little creepy but ok now for the next ep with making the fake crime scene, Catherine has never done that before (I don’t think) but this might scar her friendship with the rest of the CSI team

I like him. I mean, he needs to settle, but I'm trying not to let my missing Grissom interfere with my first impression of him. I think he's just got a lot to learn.

dishmesser I like him. I mean, he needs to settle, but I'm trying not to let my missing Grissom interfere with my first impression of him. I think he's just got a lot to learn. I agree but he looks like i have seen him in some movies i think he was in Kate and Leopold

I don't think he's actually there to replace Grissom, especially that as far as I know he will come back... won't he? Yeah, the guy gives me the creeps, but he's yet another interesting plot twist in this show. Can't wait to learn more about his twisted mind ^_^

Did you see last nights episode? Well, I didn't see all, but the commircal(sp?) before, well I think only Canadians saw it, but Sara, Nick, Warrick, and Greg were on a crime scene and vowed they were now a team of 4, and they couldn't trust Keppler OR Catherine. Why Catherine? Isn't she good? Well, I don't know what happened past the one were Grissom announce he was leaving, because of school; so what exact happened?

They were against Catherine at the time because Nick found reason not to trust either of them.
and Liev Schreiber, Keppler, was indeed in Kate and Leopold.

i hate keppler. i read [sorry, our cable went down the other day] this episode where catherine teams up with keppler and i was just... THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED.
and why the hell did they replace grissom with that @**hole?! WHY!?

Mmmm... I can't really say that I dislike Kepplar... (he reminds me of Mandy Patinkin in Criminal Minds, only colder and more distant...) but he's nowhere near to Grissom. But, have no fear all Grissom lurvers, I really think he's coming back. Anyone remember the package at the end of the episode when Grissom left. The mini killer is back, or something like it... plus the cocoon he sent Sara. I have a weird feeling that the two have something in common.
