Kat yawned and peered around, it was dark in here, this little hiding spot Ai had found for her to stay in. She couldn't see much in the dark, couldn't even tell if Ai was in there actually. Hazel eyes looked up towards where she could see the sky in the dark, bright blue. She smiled, perhaps today would be a better day.
Flicking her tail she pushed herself to stand, winced and sat back down quickly. Her leg hurt rather bad. She had a bit of a head ache as well. Stupid black big winged god....thing. She wondered if she should warn someone about him? But then again, it happened when it was nearly dark, she wouldn't be able to give a good description. She sighed and pushed herself to stand again, it hurt, but she managed.
She peered around, perhaps Ai went to get water? Water sounded nice. Perhaps she might find him, or better yet what if she came across someone who could help direct her to the queen? So much better, it would be rather exciting for her to tell Ai as a surprise that she was granted to stay here.
But she would rather have him with her as well.
"Maybe I'll find him..." she spoke softly as she crawled out of her little hidden space/den, it was nice and secluded. Safe there as well. Peering around she smiled, looked towards where the water hole was, and she slowly began to pad and half limp that way.
She was quite thirsty.

Ai had spent time adjusting to doing things such as getting drinks in the morning, as he had found that the rest of his day to be rather busy in other areas (home, the outer lands..). Sometimes, by chance, he'd be able to wander out this way, but rarely.
His jaw stung with pain as he yawned, causing him to stop in his tracks and rub his poor face. How long would it be before that stopped HURTING he wondered.
Looking back towards the looming silhouette in the distance, the dark male smiled a bit. So familiar. How would he EVER leave it? Well, he wouldn't have to think about it. Ai'kunliu would never leave his home. It was a bit of a painful thought, however, since one of his sisters had, already.
She was close, though.
Able to see a slightly moving being in the grass, he quickly presumed it to be his companion, Kat, and sat down, waiting for, whomever it was, to come within speaking distance so he could at least chime good morning.

((Hrmm.. I dunno if you want me to come and actually try to find you, or if Ai would be keen on leading her towards the center, so my first post shall be ambiguous.))
"No.... I don't think I want to go out and ask them.." -Kami's voice drawled as she fretted over the wolf's suggestion. Sure it was a good one.. but there was something absolutely terrifying about going out and asking lions one on one. It was scary enough standing above the large group.. but that was the lesser of two evils.-
"No.. I think I will just announce it.. and let them come to me. I've sat on this idea for too long. It's about time lions like.. me.. get a chance to do something they're good at."
-Pacing softly, she glanced to the wolf, who simply shrugged her shoulders, before beginning to pad thoughtfully forward away from the watering hole.-

Kat spied Ai and bounded up to him as quick as possible. "There you are! Come on!" she said with a smile, tail flicking to the side as she nudged him slightly. She didn't want to nudge too much, for fear she might push him over. True, she was nervous about meeting the queen to be accepted, but she was excited too.
She was going to have a home...after so long without one.
That is, if the queen allowed her to stay.
"Please Ai please can we go find her?" she sounded like a cub, begging to play, but she hoped he would understand. She looked towards Pride Rock, then all around. Where would the queen be at this hour. Where?

Ai seemed a bit taken off guard as Kat lept upon him from out of NOWHERE. If she was there.. then.. ".. Who is -that-?" he inquired, turning his head to look towards the moving figure in the grass, pondering just how well Kat's leg had healed for her to bounce about like that.
The dark adolescent rose to his feet to look at the figure moving through the grass.
Turning his attention back to the ever so playful Kat, he grinned, bumping his head against her shoulder. "Alright, alright... and here I thought you'd want to go get a drink of water.." he teased, nipping at her ear, before starting back, taking care to aim it so they were approaching whomever it was moving through the grass towards them.
He could help his curiousity. He just -really- wanted to know who it was.
So when the pair were close enough, Ai'kunliu called out to Kamilika, unknowing to whom it was. "Good morning!"

((You guys mind if I play her preggers? Or would you like it timewise to be set before that?))
-Kami's eyes trailed softly as her paw steps pulled her further away from the wolf, half expecting her to follow, but not begrudging her when she didn't. Hadaya didn't play or dattle about her time. If she hung around the wateringhole now it was for a reason. Or a much deserved rest.
So instead the lioness' eyes studied the open grasses before her, comfortably letting the grasses warm her golden pelt. She noticed the rustle in the distance, not particularly expecting it to be anything more then cubs at play, or someone out for a walk. But when the voice called out she oblidged softly, calling back.- "Hello. It is a lovely morning isn't it?"

Kat's eyes wandered to where the voice had called back from. She spotted a golden figure amongst the grass blades, she tilted her head to the side, and took a step closer to Ai, almost if hiding behind him somewhat, "Who's that?" she asked in a whisper. Would that be someone that could help them find the queen. Oh that would be great! Then she could see if she could stay here.
Flicking her tail Kat's hazel eyes looked up at Ai, "Should we go closer? Would that be okay? Maybe she can help us?" Kat assumed it was a she, for their was no great mane upon the others head.

Hmm. That voice sounded -kinda- familiar. He mulled over it for only part of a moment, though, and instead of thinking on who it might have been for too long, called back again to answer the question that had been called to them. "Why yes! It is!" Ai chimed in agreement, bumping his shoulder against Kat's side, before rising up to go with her to investigate.
"While I have good vision, even I can't tell WHO it is from this distance. I can only guess." he explained, nudging her to come along with him to come make point to have an up-close conversation with the lioness, whomever it may have been.
"Somehow, I get the feeling she can help." he agreed, moving along at his own steady pace, a bit of a smile on his face. "Then again, everybody can help in some way around here." he added.

((Now that I think about it, the preggers thing is a good idea, since it'll give Ai a reason to offer to Ta himself for help. Since he'll have seen her all fat and stoof. XD ))
-Another returned call, gently she changed direction, making her way towards the voice in a rather lazy waddle. She'd only just began to show, the soft curve beginning to extend her already rotund belly. It wasn't troublesome yet. Simply there, bringing a satsified joy to Kami as she felt the wait brush against the inside of her legs with each step.
Perhaps that why her smile was so large today as she traveled towards these 'strangers'. Perhaps she was just in pleasant spirits.
She was waiting to see who it was to properly greet them, and though she couldn't place the name, she finally picked out the lineage of the male, well versed in atleast the mother who her father had been so fond of. Settling herself with a huff, she let her tail sway pleasantly back and forth, awaiting them to settle in as close as they might want. A little morning chat, that actually didn't sound like such a bad idea today.-

Kat stayed close to Ai and moved along with him, keeping steady steps, eyes looking onward to see who they would meet. She was so excited! Maybe she would meet someone who would be her friend, and would help them, yes that would be great! She flicked her tail and had a bit of a bounce to her step, though when they drew closer, she got a bit nervous and stayed behind Ai somewhat.
She didn't really 'officially' live here yet...what if the other person didn't like strangers? Hmmm...
"Hello," she said softly, but loud enough for the other to hear. It was apparent Kat was nervous, the tone of her voice and how she was half hiding behind Ai. Though she believed Ai would know who this wa maybe, then she'd be at a bit more ease.

The dark male chuckled a bit at the lioness whom hid behind him in a way, nudging her side a bit. "Don't hide back there, it makes a bad impression if you're afraid of everybody." he explained, trying to coax Kat out of hiding, before looking at whom it was they were actually approaching....
Wait a minute.. he -did- recognize that coat color.. it was... so.. familiar. It was in his head, but is paw was still grasping to place a claw on where exactly he'd seen it.
However, when he was close enough, it smacked him in the forehead. DUR. DEE. DUR.
"Ah! Good morning to you, Kamilika!" he chimed in another greeting, now that he was able to recognize the lioness, before he leaned back to the lioness hiding at his side. "We're in luck, that's who you've been itching to talk to." Ai explained, grinning a bit, before turning his attention back to the Queen, bowing his head a bit.
Only when he was within a casual speaking range did he sit.

-Nodding her head in silent greeting, feeling rather silly and self concious about saying hello again, considering how many times the term had already come up, she pondered for a moment, before offering lightly.-
"Headed to the wateringhole? I just came from there myself. It's still rather empty and calm." -Maw hitching into a soft smile, she mused.- "No youngs ones there yet, tearing up the place and causing havoc."

Kat smirked at Ai and playfully and lightly hit his shoulder, "I'm not scared!" she said in a whisper, "Just nervous, there's a difference!" It was her first time really getting out to meet others afterall. Everyone was a bit nervous at this type of thing, weren't they? She flicked her tail and her eyes seemed to brighten when Ai said the other golden figure was the one she was looking for.
Yay!
Her name was Kami? That was a pretty name, Kat had a tendency to shorten names, easy to remember, and it put other on friendly terms usually, from what she knew. When Ai sat Kat sat next to him, a smile on her maw. It was obvious she was excited.
The watering hole, was that where they were going in teh first place? Maybe, she couldn't remember, all she knew is that Kami was the one she was searching for and they found her, it made her want to bound around. "Cubs are nice though, so full of energy, full of life," Kat said with a nod. Then she remembered she never really introduced herself!
"I'm Katana'Kitsune, its nice to meet you Kamilika," she said noddingbowing her head to Kami. She seemed to nice. But from there, Kat wasn't quite sure how to ask Kami if she could say, if there was somehting specific she should do, so she peered up at Ai. Surely he would know...right?

"I recall being a member of the 'guilty party' in accounts of causing havoc out there many times as a cub myself..." Ai agreed, looking up at the sun for a moment, then nodding. "And I'd say it's starting to get around the time when the little ones wake up and start to pester their parents to go out with them."
Again, the black adolescent was guilty of this.
As Kat pipped up to introduce herself, Ai leaned against her side (Hurr hurr, Xu could -so- tease him about this.. ), purring against her. He looked down at the brown female as she looked up at him in a bit of a loss at what it was she should do, so Ai took a bit of a deep breath and looked back to Kamilika.
"This may seem a bit sudden, but... I'd like it if Kat were able to stay in the lands as a member of our pride." he stated, wincing internally. "I mean... I'd like her to stay with me-." pause, "US, "he quickly corrected in a flustered manner, then continued, "But we'd feel safer with your blessing."
It was a moment, however, before Ai leaned to one side, seeming to make a bit of a face, before a sort of 'Oh.' look came on his face. "...." He almost looked like he wanted to ask a question. Oh.. REFRAIN. REFRAAAAIN.
