that one has had a few comments
from my boyfriend

and from a guy i roleplay with
"yes, but i doubt a kitten could throw me the length of a good sized room"
have you ever had any dubious compliments in the dojo?

lol, now now tat.
well, my sensei told me one day when I was working alone with my throwing knives and stars, he came up behind me and said,
"You look an angel when you're working with your deadly weapons."
that one got me my nickname Yami Tenshi, or Dark Angel, because as sensei said, he thought I looked like an angel with deadly weapons in the dojo when I was bored.... rolleyes
"Thank You dear, for not breaking me, I owe you one, since I do like working with you."
Said when I did a joint lock meant to break the wrist if they moved. Ever since that day when he almost got his wrist broken, he loves working with me because I can break his wrist, lol.

Only once, when I used drunken form when sparring.
"I didn't like it, it seems useless. It just made me not want to hit you."
Other than that, I get a lot of compliments on my hand strikes and kicking.

Once I was complaining about how much i hated sparring and someone said "but you're actually quite good at it" At the time i was thinking "yeah but that doesn't mean i have to enjoy it stressed " but now it is more of a compliment i guess

My instructor doesn't really believe in compliments, but when he gives you one it's pretty good
My fave compliment: "I think you could be the next world forms champion."

"You're a fearless little thing, aren't you?" - from a higher-rank guy I once sparred... He's an interesting character, actually. He has a nifty German accent, my head height would be about equatable with his 'midsection' and he's built like a rhino...

I was once sparring another black belt, and he had a hold of my good arm. But then i came at him with my half-arm and nailed him in the face. Afterwards he said, "Damn, I've been stub smacked!" Not really a compliment, but funny.
Most of the time i only get compliments if i do a new move or form right on the first try.

Unless its that guy from Scary Movie then it'd be f-ing gross.

I've gotten multiple compliments on my kicks (hook kick in especially) most recently from Sifu when his elbow was exposed just a wee bit, and I happened to miss. Well I nailed him right in the funny bone. XD He said a few days ago: "Well, I guess it's good you can do this kinda damage....." Good enough for meh domokun
