My BOS is a huge monster of a book. It is a two feet by two feet square, and is about half a foot thick. I made it myself, hand bound it (took FOREVER to punch all the holes in the paper...) I made the cover out of cardboard and material. I worked on crafting the book it's self for a year and a day (timed it I did.) It's got a fake fur-ish cover that is soft to the touch. It's black fake fur, and the thing weighs like five lbs (maybe not really, but it IS heavy.) I figured since I planned on passing it on eventuley if any of my children or grandchildren (or great grandchildren the way my family lives forever) if they are interested in Paganism. 3nodding I have a 'working' BOS that I've divided up the pages into catagories and have written spells and recepies and knowlage and such in, and once that's more compleate I'll begin actuley transfering it into the real BOS. It's a LOT of work, but when I am finnished, it will be really informative and well put together BOS.

My Book of Shadows was a gift from my wonderfully talented girlfriend heart She made it herself. The pages are parchment, and the covers are stained wood. Its handbound, obviously, with holes punched in the paper for screws to go through, so I can add more paper when I run out. Previous to that I had been using a store-bought journal, but it wasn't really working out that well for me. Its definitely one of the best gifts I have ever gotten 3nodding

My BoS is a black and white marble Composition book I never really used in English class. It's been cleansed and empowered but I want to get a good leather one sence this one has "English Workbook" written in big highlighter letters across the front it's constantly in danger of being thrown out.

Mine sits on the top shelf of my closet, and if anyone trys to get it down there is a good chance it will fall and squish them! rofl I can put mine out on the middle of the floor, and other than me tripping over it in the middle of the night, it wouldn't be bothered.

I would love to make my own BoS but until I get the chance I kind of have 3. One is a small store bought journal that I put personally written spells. The second is just a regular purple single subject notebook. This one is my messy BoS, the one where I add things in as I find them. The third is a 2 inch binder with dividers so I can have different sections like spells or alphabets. It is a colaboration of the other two put into a neat order.

I finally got a makeshift BoS ^.^ It's a big grey 2 inch binder that I got from Wal-Mart xd But I'm working on decorating it with lace and trim and material and glittery stuffs. I'll eventually make one myself, but for now it'll do wonderfully ^.^

heart Mah luffly grimoire heart whee
I've added quite a few pages; just basic stuff really.. oh yes, and painted the inside!! I forgot to take a picture of that.. I'll add it later...
All of my pages are really colorful; I like writing in all different colors of ink and eventually there will be intricate borders around all the pages.
In case you hadn't noticed, I forgoed the glitter and lace idea for now; I had a hankerin' to paint. Besides, I love hand painting things and figure I should invest my time and energies into something I love rather than just something that would make the book look pretty 3nodding T'is a work in progress, and will always be.
I think I'll paint a large Tree of Life on the back... not sure yet.
Edit: Got some crappy pictures xd
Inside front cover Inside Back Cover (the inside of the binder was black when I got it, so I improvised ^^)

My BoS is kept nice and safe in my laptop. I take my laptop with me pretty much everywhere and i have a password to get on thats 9 letters/numbers (which is longer than anyone in my family would ever guess). i use all sorts of fonts, sizes, and colors. eventually i do plan on getting a three subject notebook but i'm gonna wait until i'm running out of pages in my school notebooks to tell my parents i need it for school so they don't know its for my BoS (they don't know it exists).
