Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a while, but I really need help. My dad's uncle just died 2 days ago, and the visitation and funeral is tommorrow. I really miss him, and I don't know what to do. this is my 1st funeral and REAL death since i was like 2. I'm sort of scared of seeing the dead body... crying i'm really sad and I can't believe he is gone. He had throat cancer they can't cure, and it was painful for him. I can't beleive he is gone......... crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying

I understand. I've lost a lot of people that were important to me, including pets. You're in my prayers.

I'm sorry to hear that. Funerals are tough, I've been to quite a few of them. I can't stand open casket, when I die I'll be cremated, I wouldn't want anyone to go through that if I can help it. I even had to be one of the ones that carried the casket, twice. I'll keep you in my prayers. I'll be here for you if you want to talk about it afterwards.

Thanks Lithanus. I just got back from the funeral and wake. It just didn't seem like him, because he was just lying there when he always just laughed and talked. And the sad thing is, my family (grandparents, their sisters ect.) are all getting old and soon they shall join God. I know I should rejoice for him, but i miss him.
and I can't believe he's gone.......

I'll pray for you. I lost my grandmother a few years ago. It was pretty hard; the funeral was a blur. But I was happy because she was with God. So I will pray for God to help you bear it.
