Elrohir Calaelen stands at a height of 5'7". His eyes are deep blue, and his hair is a dark aqua blue. His form is lanky and lean, though muscular. To a casual observer, his features are more strikingly Elven than Fae, but the traces of his Fae blood are present (though subtle). His eyes possess a faint spark, an almost ephemeral glow that ebbs and fades like the sea. Though possessing pointed ears common for Elves, they are elongated and narrow. Perhaps the most clear signs of Fae blood are present in the luminous nature of his skin, which has a luminous hue.





Elrohir grew up knowing neither of his parents or the union that created him. He was raised in a forest by a lake near the Armaturan border by a human mage and his family. That mage, Caen, recognized Elrohir's natural talent for magic and trained him to hone his arcane skills. Caen's brother, Raoul, was a knight who specialized in lances, and contributed to his training in martial affairs.

At the age of twelve, Elrohir and Caen's son, Lorinan, were sent to an academy to further their studies. It was here that Elrohir learned that the two brothers who had raised him were actually exiled nobles from Gantor. After spending ten years at the academy, Lorinan and Elrohir returned home, both being recognized as scholars and warriors of eminence. Elrohir also learned to be a musician, his favored instrument being the harp. He learned to channel his magic and music together, increasing his versatility. Also, the close bonds between Lorinan and Elrohir forged into a deep platonic relationship.

On their return home, the pair were welcomed by Caen and Raoul and a new resident, Mallar. Mallar was a recent visitor from Gantor and a distant relative of the two brothers. He had joined with Caen and Raoul in hopes of convincing them to return home with him. Both brothers resisted the idea, as they were both content with the forest manor by the lake. On a certain night, during a magical experiment that was being conducted by Caen and Lorinan, a band of raiders attacked the manor. Raoul and Elrohir fought valiantly, but Raoul fell and Elrohir was overwhelmed and captured. Caen died in a magical blast that was caused when Lorinan, in his haste, aborted the experiment to soon and the energy spun out of control. The last Elrohir saw of Lorinan was his unconscious body being borne away by Mallar. He himself was to be sold as a slave. Unfortunately for the raiders, they crossed the Armaturan border and were dealt with by Armaturan forces who freed Elrohir. Elrohir remained in Armatura serving in the military for two years, until he heard news of a new minister in Gantor named Mallar who had recently inherited the titles formerly held by his brothers. Anxious to find news of Lorinan, Elrohir departed for Gantor.
