I'm rather desperate at the moment, and don't know where else to ask this question.

Recently, I had sex with a guy for the first time. We were sure to use a condom, but theres a little thing that worries me...

Right afterwards it felt like there was some sort of 'bubble' of a liquid-type substance inside of me. The condom was lubricated, so the guy told me it was probably just from that... but since it was my first time, I don't know.

The condom didn't appear to be leaking, but I'm just very worried.

I still have time left to fess up to my mom, and have her get me a morning-after pill, but my time is running low...

Is what I experienced normal? Should I worry?

After a bit of research, and a couple phone calls, I managed to arrange for an older friend of mine (older, as in over 18 ) to take me out and get the plan B pill.

I suppose that I posted here out of panic... I'm just glad that I've been able to arrange for getting the pill.

What happened may have been due to the lubricant, as my partner said, but I really would rather be safe than pregnant.

It could've been from your own... er, lubrication, if you know what I mean. Guys aren't the only ones who produce liquid substances during sex. The sex might've caused it to form a bubble. (Or it could've been the condoms lubrication--just throwing out an idea.)

But if you feel insecure about it, best to get a morning after pill. Could be nothing to worry about, but if it'll put your mind at ease...

EDIT You're able to get the pill? Good! Hope you're able to get it without a hitch (with the way s**t is nowadays with pharmacists refusing to fill perscriptions...)

I was able to get the pill without any problems. 3nodding

I had my friend go up to the counter to get it, and after an ID check they gave them to her.

However, the pills are quite expensive.... they were $45!

I do realize that the bubble could have been causd by the lubricant, or y own bodily fluids, but I'd much rather take the pill now than run the risk of needing an abortion later.

I agree with Sybex, and know exactly what you're talking about. If the condom didn't break, then it was just your own lubrication. I remember feeling the same panic when I first had sex. I still have that feeling actually.

You made a very good decision. Better safe than knocked up!

I think you made the right choice if you weren't sure. By the way, just out of curiosity what state are you in? I've been doing some research on how available Plan B is by state.

Could have been just an airbubble.
it's quite amazing how much air can become trapped in the v****a during sex.

Best of luck to you. 3nodding

Airbubble? Does this happen often? Is it painful? How uncomfortable is it? How do you prevent it or get rid of it?

are you asking me confused

Yes it happens often, air can be trapped in the v****a just from doing sports or masturbation, not just sex.
It isn't painful but it might be uncomfortable and there is nothing you can do to prevent it, the body naturally gets rid of it (by pushing it out) or if you move around the air will come out itself, sometimes it makes a noise and that is what people call a 'queef'

Or in other words, it's a vaginal fart.

There, I said it.

XP I love it when they happen. It's not uncomfortable, but sometimes I'll just sit up after sex and it'll be like *splurt*. And queef is a funny word.

In response to the OP: glad that you're not worried anymore. I definitely worried after the first time I had sex, and I'm on the Pill now so I don't worry much, but I take a pregnancy test once every couple of months to be sure. Probably a good idea if you're having sex. :3

*nods* After a few months elapse, I'm planning on telling my mom that I am sexually active. She's pretty realistic as to her expectations of me, so I'm sure she would treat me like a mature adult when it came to that matter. I'm considering asking my doctor about the pill after I come out to my mother about not being a virgin.

Why wait until you 'come out'? Would she forbid you asking about the pill or something?

Then again . . . someone I know's mother, a nurse, was rather annoyed when she found her daughter had gotten the pill without mentioning it to her. I think the mother's not a big believer in it, said that it wasn't something to be taken lightly (since it plays silly buggers with your hormones, I guess). I don't think she would have forbid her daughter the pill - most likely would have preferred to be consulted.
