Okay I've been a little curious about depression and I can't be 100% sure that I have it or not.
I honestly believe I have it at times but I also believe maybe it's just part of being my age. I turned 15 a few months ago but even before that I've noticed that if I've gone a day or so without really socializing with anyone, I grow depressed. Not seriously depressed but I have no appetite, I don't feel like doing anything, I feel upset, or I become extremely bored.
Sometimes my family will go shopping and I'll be home for maybe 2 hours alone, and even when they return, my day is just full of negative feelings and I don't feel like intereacting with anyone or doing anything. I'll just sit around, or take a nap.
Anyone know if this is depression or something else?
I appreciate any help!

There are few doctors on Gaia, so few people on Gaia can diagnose you with anything. Even the doctors probably won't diagnose you with anything over the internet, however. If you are concerned enough, you could ask your parents, doctor, or school counselor.

I get the same feelings you get.. I'm fifteen and I hate socializing.. But yah, I have almost the exact same feelings.. and I took a test.. my mom wanted me to do it because she found out my behavior had changed >.> When I took the test.. the resualts came back.. and they said I needed profesional help.. I still haven't gotten that.. and I get depressed amaybe two to three times a day without cause.. No reason at all.. I just stare off into space, and then come back into reality and I start crying, hating myself and sometimes.. most of the times wanting to die..

From those things I suggest seeing a doctor. The appitite part is a very common sign of depression. I'd go for days eating very little (maybe a sandwich or soup), to nothing becuase I was so upset and depressed that I just didn't feel hungry.
Also, if you can think of anything in your life that has changed, it could help the doctor figure out what's causing the depression and help you deal with it.
