This year has almost as good if not better players in the draft class. They have: Troy Smith (OSU) Hiseman winner, Calvin Johnson (GT) WR of the year, Jamarcus Russel (LSU) his blow out win against Notre Dame has to count for something, Dwane Jarrett (USC) a great wideout on a team who used him eek , Colt Brennan (HAW) TD record and better numbers than any other QB in the draft (pulled out of the draft), Brady Quinn (ND) Maxwell winner, Marshon Lynch (CAL) helped carry them to second in the PAC-10, and last but not least Chris Leak (UF) impressive win over OSU in the National Champioship
PS: please tell me all the star college players I left off that declared for the draft
PSS: this thread is ok to post in the guild right

I think Colt Brenan is the one who should be chosen first if he was on a better team he would be holding the Heisman right now without anyone questioning the decision

He was very impressive dragging GT to the ACC championship game

I like Troy Smith and He's still a great player in my mind even after getting destroyed by florida. I'm just happy to see two guy's from wisconsin going into the NFL possibly as first round draft pick. rofl

Jemarcus Russel
He is a BEAST!! He can throw the ball 80 yards...on his knees He is about 250 pounds i think Hard to take down and a scrambler
yep, sad thing is though, this year not many teams need a QB

Yeah, I'll have to go with JaMarcus Russell too.
He has the body of Culpepper actually, but I think he has Big Ben's legs--big body that moves around well, but really doesn't look to run unless by design. He has a VERY STRONG arm for sure. I remember that one play a few weeks ago when he "flicked" the football for 50yds I believe to Early Doucet so effortless. He didn't eve get a full windup to make that throw. After watching this game and others, I have a hard time saying that Quinn is the clear cut #1 QB in this year's draft.

So Jeff Samardzija is now a Chicago Cub? http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6385348If he sticks with baseball then he should probably become a pretty good player. Baseball can be a lot trickier to negotiate a path to stardom, but when you get a guaranteed $10M to do so, it's hard to turn it down.

Thats what I was going to say. I think the raiders are going to pick Russell because they need a QB so badly. IF they had an average Offense they would have been a dangerous team. IF they ended up with both Russell And Johnson Wow. Heads up. But who could the raiders trade for a high enough draft pick to get Johnson lol? Thats the problem of being completely devoid of talent on the O side of the ball. MAybe some later draft slots? It would probably be worth it. If they had a chance to fix the O that easily then I would trade just about ever other pick just to get my hands on both those guys. But in conclusion I think Russell will go first to the raiders... if not him then Quinn. It will be one of the two top rated Qb's. The raiders just need one too badly.

They could trade Randy Moss...he doesn't want to be there and he's getting up there age-wise so they could probably get a 1st rounder for him maybe some players as well doubt it though
