Ok, so Seattle comes off a Super Bowl year by losing players and falling to a pathetic 9-7 season. Plus, they're in arguably the worst division in the NFL and they got swept by the 49ers this year... Plus, it's not like they're getting any younger. Seattle needs some young guns. I think What do you think?

9-7 and making it into the playoffs and losing in overtime to the number one seed bears is in no way pathetic what's pathetic is the fact that people think it was pathetic that is pathetic 9-7 isn't desirable but is in no way a pathetic year.

Well, you need to remember that the team was hit hard by injuries, especially in the secondary. I think they should either draft a good DB or sign one in the FA. I have a softspot for the Seahawks, seeing how they are the team where my family lives in, but they arent my favorite.
The Seahawks arent getting younger, true, so they need to stock up on some options in case important poeple decide to retire or get injured.
[at gothgirl] seeing how i'm a mod, i could have banned you with a click. please dont flame another person's team, its not cool. so apologize and have a nice day

Lol @ havokk.. I like that flexing of the muscles... you been working out here on Gaia? ^_^. You bought that in home gym from the Faktori huh lol. Anyway back to the topic. I basically agree with the main feel of the forum. They still have talent.. if Alexander and HAsslebeck dont go out for a few games int eh middle of the season they might have been 11-5 or 12-4. Injuries are always a wild card. I think they got at least two or three years left before a rebuilding faze might hit em. But if they draft well and get good free agents then they might even be able to wether the storm. They have a good coach in place so its just a matter of keeping the talent level up an the bodies young enough to go through a 16+ game season.
P.S. Goth... is your quote from Flyleaf's song.. because I will give you credit there.. they're down right awesome.

I don't know why, but I've never gotten the vibe of the Seahawks as a dangerous team. Even with last years Super Bowl appearance of the Hawks, I refused to give them the name of an elite team. This year I think showed what I was talking about. Sure, they had quite a few injuries in several key spots on both sides of the ball. But I don't think that was it, because even when they were healthy twords the end of the year, it looked like they were getting outplayed all the time. I think Hasselbeck was overrated dramatically as a top passer in the league, and there was no question in my mind that Alexanders was riding that powerhouse of an O-line for the record TD season a year ago, however now they kind of have the appearance of a team like the Colts to me. A finesse and agility team with a lot of speed, but lack the toughness and durability of a team like the Chargers or Patriots. I think the Hawks still have a few years left with their players, however I don't think they'll be a threat in even a weak division unless they get some power in their skill positions.
PS: The addition of Deion Branch was huge in my opinion. He makes a difference on that offense by himself, and he could keep them tough for a few years.

The end of the Seahawks? Maybe. It's not so much they are getting worse, it's that every other team in their division is a good draft and FA pickup away from dethroning them. They may want to do something about that defensive philosophy. It relies entirely on the offense. If the offense runs into a good defense that can hold them while putting up some points of their own, they're done for. It's a smallish defense meant to play from ahead. It gets worn down very easily.

Although the Pack beat the Bears to end the season yay XP. I've never thought nor heard of Hasselbeck being overrated the reason he's probably so good is because he got to watch Favre play from the sidelines on the Pack and the other reason is that Holmgren always develops QBs into good players cause he's a good coach
