Well, Lil owns a shop for art. She does art for others and hangs thier pictures on the wall for customers to look at. However, things have been slow. The day seems to drag on and Lil grows restless due to the lack of orders. Latty her small black cat merely naps on the counter offering little i nthe way of excitment. If only a custmer would walk in through the door!

"you know latty," Lil said to her cat as she placed her head in her hands with a small sigh, "things are real slow now. Maybe I should dust those pictures. Might cause the customers to sneeze... if I had customers anyways"

Mr. Fern a world renowned art collector staged his entrance into what looked like a small art shop in the middle of nowhere. He was a middle aged man with fading eyesight. It had really seemed like to much of a bother at first to drive out into the middle of bleeding no where. However, he told himself in a slightly pathetic tone. She can’t be half bad if she was about to make it into his listing in the first place. Pushing back up his glasses and clutching a large pile of papers Mr. Fern walked into the shop. *Thwack* Well, almost. The door it seemed to be so polished that Mr. Fern’s eyes had failed to pick up.
Being sprawled across a concrete pavement at anytime of year can be an uncomfortable experience. However on later thought Mr. Fern had agreed that this was definitely the worst time of year as it was a gusty autumn afternoon and only three quarters of the allotted paper work that was required to be completed before even looking at the artists work was quickly stolen away by what Mr. Fern called a ghastly malicious and foul tempered wind.
Once again straightening himself out, Mr. Fern entered the Shop.

Lil looked up from her revere as the shop shuddered violently. Craning her neck around she sought out to find what it had been that had shook the shop so. There on the pavement was a man of near middle age with strange eyes hidden behind large specticles or so it seemed to her. Getting off the stool she had been slouching on she slowly made her way to a shelf wondering as to why the man had decided to bump into her shop door...
It then dawned on her that she would ahve to go clean that door once again... grumbling, she made her way into the back sotreroom in search for the cleaning the products. On the shelf way towards the back on the highest ledge was her cleaning rag and spray. However, she was not tall enough to merely reach for it... She dragged a rather heavy block towards it and, reaching up just managed to touch the bottle and rag. However, as the block was very old and no doubt eaten away by the termits that had once taken out residencey, it decided that it would end its sad sorry life then and there and collapse on her. There was an almighty crash as she tumbled off her block, the bottle of spray bumping her on the head on its way down. The rag flopped lamely onto her head, where a nice bruise began to form...
Through all this commotion she did not hear the shop doorbell tinkle as to signify the entrance of a customer.

Eillas snuck in through the back window, hoping she wouldn't get noticed. Her kite had flown through the window and was sitting on a high shelf. 'If only I could reach it' she thought to herself, dragging a chair over to the shelf. She stood up on her tipy toes, stretching as high as she could, but she couldnt get it; so she sat down on the chair and began to cry.

As Lil got up to brush herself down she heard what she thought sounded very much like the sniffling of someone further back in the storeroom. She had not been there herself in quite a while, so proceeding to take the bottle in her hands (in the event the one sniffling was not very hospitable) she made her way towards the source. There were abodndoned pictures, frames, art materials and small nicknacks that Lil presumed had been disguarded well before the shop was occupied by herself and the cat. A shiver ran through her spine as the air around her became musty. The sound however became louder as she stepped cautiously onwards. In the small corner of the room was a girl of rather tiny stature. There above her was a brilliant kite. far out of her reach from what Lil could observe. It was an awkward moment that was for sure. Lil was unsure as what to do... this girl was definately out of place for not even she wold venture this far back. However, she thought she had heard the sound of the door bell tinkle. If that had been her imagination then her cat meowing loudly for her to return was not. Deciding to fix this problem first she knealt down, taking a white hankerchief from her apron, "Here," she said awkwardly, "take this and move. I'll get your kite down,"

She moved quickly out of the way, her kite swaying silently on the top of the shelf. Eillas cried softly into the hanky; 'No one can get that down' she thought to herself stubbornly. She watched in awe as the lady reached up and took down her kite for her. "Thanks Miss!" Eillas said to her.

Lil stared for a moment before handing the kite over to the small girl... she ran a hand through her hair with a sigh, looking off into the corner with a sense of awkwardness, " hey it was no trouble. Now ou better hurry out of here.... ypu're not actually supposed to b here! Even I don't venture this far back into the shop." She gently pushed the girl towards the general direction of the shop impatiently as she was beginning to feel there was someone in the shop front no doubt waiting for the shopkeep. The desk bell was ringing insistantly and if it was not a customer it was surely the cat and both were worrying to her.

After, taking several minutes looking around at the art on display Mr. Fern had decided it was really unlike anything he had ever seen in the entire time of his career. Intrigued at first he did not notice the absence of the shops keeper, but now it seemed to Mr. Fern just a little peculiar. Finding a gold bell on the counter Mr. Fern tapped it. Looking up expecting to see a figure emerging from the a-joining room he was quite surprised when he saw a cat gracefully lift its head and stare at the middle age man with a half interested half bored look. Yawning the cat stretched and retired to it's original position almost as if nothing ever happened. Beginning to tap his foot impatiently Mr. Fern waited.

Seeing that the girl was not going to move in hurry, she merely resorted to pushing her gently yet firmly all the way down the corridor and out the door from the back. There standing in the golden autumn sunlight streaming from the window was a middle aged man, of an average height. He appeared to be tapping his foot impatiently as id waiting for someone whom she soon realsied was her. Before he could spy her coming from the back, she roughly took the tiny girl by the shoulders, pulling her about the corner a hand over hr mouth to stifle any cries, "Right," she said quietly, yet appearing to be very stern, "I have a customer out there and it's already looking bad as he is now impatient. Do me a favour would you?" she did not wait for a reply before jumping in and say quickly, craning her neck past the door, "For now you are working for me. You had problems in the back and needed some assistance. Leave the kite here it'll be fine, but please, tkae this rag and window cleaner," she placed the said items in the girls hands, "and go clean the window pretending you work for me alright?" She gave the girl a little push towards the door. For a few moments she waited, taking the time to straighten her hair and clothing and remove all signs of cobwebs and dust before proceeding out herself, looking slightly flustered yet remarkable in control. As she peered at the man again, she could see he looked strange, which immediately piqued her curiosity. Taking her place behind the counter, she watched the man for a moment, feeling a strange sense of surreal before saying, "Good day for Kite flying isn't it?"

Eillas took the window cleaner and rag and got silently to work, scrubbing quite hard at those windows. 'After all, she did get my kite didnt she?' she thought to herself. While she was working, Eillas listened to what was happening out the front.

Lil stared at the floor for a moment, not sure if she should speak again or ewait for another minute. Yet her mouth opened and again she spoke, "What can I do for you today mister...?" her question trailed off for she knew she did not know his name. Her eyes quickly flashed his face as she spoke. Blinking in the autumn sunlight she mused over the thought he looked rather mysterious with the aura behind him. She cleared her throat awkwardly, shifting from foot to to foot. She fumbled over her words and decided that silence was going to prove more practicle than trying to fill in the silence.

Spotting the slightly unco shop attendant standing in the doorway to the shops back room, Mr. Fern frowned wondering if the source of that loud bang had anything to do with the shop attendant. Resolving to tell Lillith the artist how incapable it was clear this young lady is.
Excuse me Miss, Mr. Fern said in a slightly imperious tone. Can you direct me to a Miss Lillith? I believe she owns the shop and does the Artistry? My Names Mr. Fern, I'm an art collector.

Lillith's face fell slightly, a small twitch tugging at the corner of her mouth. Deciding the best course of action was to act the fool she merely bowed her head in an apologetic manner, sheilding the furious glint in her blue eyes. Although the man was strange and, as Lillith privately conceeded some time later, rather strikingly handsome in appearnace, was no doubt the most insulting man she had so far had the pleasure of coming into contact with. Concealing her hands in her pockets she slowly looked to the man's face, barely managing a polite tone or manner, "and what brings you out here," suddenly throwing off the act she replied rather curtly, "Because if you are here to insult me I;m sure I can do without your business." She strode across the landing to the door, opening wide open.. The wind gushed in throwing the store into haywire. Pieces of paper were tossed carelessly into the air, as golden leaves twirled energetically. Lillith's hair became tangled with autumn leaves, her face furious. Over the slight din of the turmoil she said, " So As you can see I am Miss, Lillith and you can get your sorry arse out of here if you are going to be so insulting towards me!"

Ptftf... Wha!? Mr. Fern spluttered in reply to the apparent Miss lillith who was obvoisly more than capable of breathing fire. A sickening renching motion tore inside Mr. Ferns Naval. Oh. He repiled turning a pale shade of green. I'm an art collector, that is to say that i came to ask, but now that- I best be off, good day miss. And with that Mr. Fern exited the shop not entirely sure of what had just happened.
