Story

It is said throughout history that Vampires and Lycanthropes have been battling each other in a never-ending battle. That never-ending battle has, in the past few decades, spilled over into Human civilization, and to see a Vampire or Lycanthrope walking the streets was not an uncommon occurrence.

But now, something has changed. The battles that often happened between Vampires and Lycanthropes seem to have tapered off, almost ceasing completely, and the Humans became suspicious. They found that the reasoning behind the decreased amount of battles is due to a new threat, a threat so powerful, that the Vampires and Lycanthropes are debating over whether or not to join forces.

Soon enough, this new threat started attacking Humans, Vampires and Lycanthropes alike. Many humans fell easily to this new species that call themselves the Chosen. The Chosen were created by a Scientist by the name of Dr. Raymond Butcher, who had found a way to splice together Vampire and Lycanthrope DNA, and inject the DNA into humans to turn them into the Chosen. They are faster and stronger than most of the Vampires and Lycanthropes, and they kill humans for sport.

The Humans have started to fight back using their own means. Using guns and other weaponry, they fight in order to survive this onslaught of New Immortals. Many have been captured and turned into Chosen, while others have just been completely mauled in their attempts to stay alive.

Will the Humans survive? Will the Vampires and Lycanthropes join forces and go up against the Chosen? Or will the Chosen dominate all? Only time will tell.

Set Characters

All characters are original. Please do not take them and use them in other roleplays.

Name: Victor Cross
Age: Over 7000 years old, but appears to be in mid-thirties.
Race: Vampire
Sex: Male
Bio: Victor Cross is one of the oldest, wisest, and strongest of the vampires. He was chosen to be the leader of the vampires, although he still kept a council to agree with, or disagree with, his decisions. He does not accept bullshit from anyone. Ever since he was born he has been a hard person, not one to be taken lightly. He has long upheld codes of conduct set down by his forefathers, and he is appraised by the vampires for this.
Appearance: Victor Cross is very tall, standing at 6'7ft. He has abnormally long fangs, due to his long life. They extend a full two inches from his mouth. His eyes are a deep red, and his face shows many sleepless days. His hair is that of pure black, with a few silver strands mixed in. He is very muscular, and is able to take on almost anyone that he comes across.
Personality: Can be extremely serious, and cold at times, while at others he is laid-back and calm, depending on the situation at hand.
Other: The only person he is allows himself to worry about is the Leader of the Lycanthropes, Ciantra.

Name: Slash Lantay
Race: Vampire
Sex: Male
Age: 1000 years old, but appears to be in early twenties.
Bio: Slash is Victor Cross' right-hand man. He has been so ever since he tasted his first blood. Unfortunately Slash wants the throne for himself, and has attempted to kill Cross many times, but to no avail. No one knows why Victor Cross keeps him around after the many failed attempts.
Appearance: Slash stands at a height of 5'9. He has fangs, but they are only one inch long. He has dark brown eyes, and has a face that is full of sorrow. His hair is a pure white, offsetting his dark eyes. He appears to be weak and fragile, but that is his greatest offense, the ability to hide his true strength from his enemies.
Personality: He has a dark personality, one that has an amount of greed about it. Slash is the kind of person who is extremely determined.
Other: Hates anything to do with 'Those damned Lycans'.

Name: Armatage Cross
Race: Vampire
Sex: Female
Age: 300, but appears to be 16.
Bio: Armatage is Victor's daughter, his only offspring. She has never known her mother, but suspects that she should not ask such a question. She fears that her father had only used a female vampire to produce a child, and once she was born he disposed of her mother. The truth is, her mother left, and killed herself because she did not want the responsibility of having a child. Armatage acts as Victor's personal counselor on matters dealing with the Lycanthropes.
Appearance: Armatage wears a black T-shirt and black pants. She has golden eyes, and her hair is black and reaches down to the middle of her back. Her fangs are just shy of an inch long, and are razor-sharp.
Personality: Appears to be older than she is for how wise she is. She is usually energetic and has a bit of spunk about her.
Other: N/A

Name: Ciantra Callais
Race: Lycanthrope
Sex: Female
Age: 6500 years old, but appears to be in the late twenties.
Bio: As a kid Ciantra was always scaring people with her power to transform into a werewolf. She had found that she could control the transformation at an early age. She is the leader of the Lycanthropes, and she is appraised for being able to control them. She has little or no lenience towards failure, but knows that she has to accept it sometimes. She has grown to be a person of great understanding, but does not enjoy when people lie to her. Over her many years as leader of the Lycanthropes she has made herself a powerful force to be reckoned with.
Appearance: In her human form Ciantra Has long, flowing silver hair, as well as deep crimson eyes. She stands at around 5'7ft in height, and has a fragile-looking figure. In her Lycanthrope form her height increases to an even 6'ft, and her eyes turn amber. Her fur is completely Silver, and she is very fast. She relies more on her speed than on her strength to beat opponents.
Personality: Ciantra can be brutal and vicious at times, while at others she is cool and collected. It all depends on whether or not she is pissed off.
Other: Wants to take her right-hand man as her own, but knows that he would only be a distraction. ((Only a suggestion, this can change!))

Name: Lein Kaskuro
Race: Lycanthrope
Age: 4000 years old, but appears to be in early thirties.
Sex: Male
Bio: Lein was bitten when he was young, ensuring that he would gain almost all of the abilities of a Lycanthrope, even if he was bitten and not born. His strength comes unparalleled by any other male Lycanthrope, so much so that they forget that he was bitten, rather than born. He had almost always been Ciantra's right-hand man, ever since he was brought to her when he had first undergone the transformation from human to Lycanthrope.
Appearance: Lein stands at 6ft even, and is very muscular. Unlike Ciantra he depends on his strength, rather than speed. He has brown, shoulder-length hair, and yellow, cat-like eyes. In his Lycanthrope form his fur is completely black, and he has the same yellow eyes as in his human form.
Personality: Lein is a very obedient person, and knows when to hold his tongue. He is a subdued kind of person, but every now and then he perks up and becomes more outgoing.
Other: Yearns to have Ciantra, but he understands that he can not have her, seeing as she is the queen, and he is just a soldier. ((Again His interests can change! This is just a suggestion!))

Name: Dr. Raymond Butcher
Age: 32
Sex: Male
Race: Human/Chosen
Bio: Butcher became a doctor through many years of university, achieving a Master's degree in every subject he took. After graduating he founded his own company. His company researched the myth of vampires and lycanthropes, trying to see is they were real. Unfortunately they did find out that they were real, and had some DNA to prove it to the world, but Butcher had other plans. He launched a project called Myth. The main principle of the project was to find out as much as they could about vampires and lycanthropes, as well as to try and combine their DNA. After 7 years of trying and trying again, with disastrous results, he had succeeded. The new race that he had made he called the Chosen. The candidates were people that no one would miss, crooks and the homeless. The project kept under the radar for two months, until Butcher decided to send a rather gruesome message to the vampires and lycanthropes.
Appearance: The 30-year-old science geek from down the street. He has short, black hair and hazel eyes. He likes to wear lots of reds for shirts, and jeans. He is not very tall, standing at 5'7ft, and he is not muscular at all.
Personality: Just plain evil. Butcher enjoys playing mind games and such, as long as he wins.
Other: Wants to destroy the vampires and the lycanthropes, just because he can. Can also telepathically communicate with other Chosen.

The dark manor stood out against it's background, a desolate, and dead-looking forest. This manor was the home of many beings, all of the same race, a race definitely not human. It was a home for the vampires of this region, and a certain air of foreboding hung about the place, willing any human in their right mind to steer clear away from the massive building.

Inside this manor, pacing the halls were a great number of vampires, all living together as if the manor was a village in itself. Of all of these vampires, none were as great, nor as powerful as Victor Cross. He was the eldest of the vampires, and their rightly appointed leader. His long black hair cascaded down to his strong, toned shoulders. His eyes, a deep, foreboding crimson were closed at the moment, closed in thought.

Victor sat upon his throne in the Great Hall, the place where the elders of the community met to discuss matters of importance. He rubbed his temples, troubled over recent events. As if the on-going battle with the Lycans wasn't tense and stressful enough, now eight of his soldiers had been brutally killed and had messages etched into their flesh, saying 'The Time of the Chosen is now.' On top of that these Chosen had started to attack humans, Vampires and Lycanthropes alike.

At this point in time, Victor was seriously thinking about an alliance with the Lycanthropes, no matter how hard it would be to actually form said alliance. He knew it would be hard. Knowing Ciantra for over 3000 years as his enemy, then suddenly asking for her to become an ally, it would be quite a surprise for the Lycans and Vampires alike. Doing such a thing was unheard of in all the records that were kept in the great library of the Manor. No vampire had ever gotten along with a lycan, and the two were natural enemies. He knew in making such a move, his troops and his people might think lesser of him.

Quite frankly, he didn't care what his troops thought. If he could make an alliance that would give the Lycans and Vampires alike a chance at defeating this new enemy, then so be it. He looked up from his heavy marble throne, the Great Hall, with it's marble pillars and floors, empty save for a few chairs and one table. "Where is Armatage when I need her?" He stated to no one as he looked out the window, a big harvest moon peeking through the glass barrier. Such a beautiful night. Why did it have to be ruined by these events?
PostPosted: Tue Jan 16, 2007 3:17 pm

Slash Lantay, who has been Victor Cross’ right-hand man for quite some time, stepped out onto the dark cobble-stoned streets lit only by the dim light of the harvest moon. The cold air started to bite at his fingertips as he turned to his left and began making his way down the winding path that seemed to lead into the vast forest. The air smelled of fresh blood and Slash didn’t intend to take on any form of combat at the moment although he would if needed. As he neared the edge of the forest he took one last look around, surveying the area, making sure he wasn’t being followed before he proceeded. The sound of leaves softly ruffling in the breeze rang through his ears as he advanced along into the dark forest.

This was the path that, indeed, lead to the manor in which housed the many vampires in the area. Though the forest was dark, the many small rays of moonlight that shown through the leaves provided just enough light to see. Slash now began to pick up speed. He was running. Running fast, so as to not waste anymore time in getting to the manor.

He kept getting the feeling that he was being followed… If something was following him, what was it? Could it be a Chosen? No. Not now, he hoped as he was now approaching the manor’s front doors. They were very tall double doors, very ornate with depictions of what seemed to be battles between Heaven and Hell.

And, yet again, Slash took one last look around before opening the doors and proceeding into the manor. Once inside he made his way, hastily, to the great hall which was where Victor Cross sat upon his throne. He entered the great hall, it too very ornate with towering marble pillars and intricate designs on the walls and a long red carpet leading up to the throne. Slash approached Victor with determination and in a very serious tone he spoke. “Lord victor! Many of our troops have fallen and our numbers have decreased greatly! We must take an effective course of action as soon as possible! Please, tell me, what do you plan on doing?!”

And with that he waited for a reply. Though, in the very back of his mind he wandered whether or not someone or something was actually following him… He dreaded the thought and shook it from his head, not wanting to worry about it at the moment. He would bring it up at a later time but now was certainly not that time.

Victor looked up from his position on the throne, hearing someone enter. It was Slash, his right-hand man. Victor placed his chin in his hand, looking down to Slash, contemplating his question. "What do I plan on doing?" he repeated. To tell him the truth, Victor would say 'not much'. Really his only idea was an alliance with the Lycans. That wouldn't go over very well.

Then again, he may as well throw it out there, right? Taking his chin from his hand, he sat up straight, looking down to Slash. "You trust me, right? If I did something, you would back me up." Victor said, knowing the answer to that question already. Either way, he had to reassure himself before offering Slash his absurd solution to the Chosen problem.

((Ah, it's ok. You can't have long posts all the time, ya know? ^_^;;; ))

The moon's rays shown through reflecting onto the floor from the glass windows set high along the walls. The air in the Great Hall was comfortable and cool and it was a fairly relaxing place. Slash was surprised at the question presented before him by Victor. Nonetheless, he did ask the question expecting an answer. "But of course! I have have always trusted you! As far as I can tell, you've never steered me in the wrong direction before, so certainly! I'd back you up no matter what!" Slash put on a sort of smirk, one of which expressed the fact that was speaking truthfully. Even so, there was something in Victor's words and the way he said them that just didn't sound right. Whatever he was about to say next, it probably wasn't going to be good...

((Heh... Mine's a bit short too... ^_^;;; I totally didn't do it on purpose. XD ))

Victor nodded as Slash spoke, affirming Victor that Slash could be trusted. Victor turned his head, looking out the tall windows, the pale moon shining through the glass. Such a beautiful night. Victor thought as he opened his mouth to speak. "What I plan on doing..." Victor paused, turning to look intently at Slash, his eyes connecting with his. "An alliance. With the Lycans." Victor said, pausing for a moment to let it sink in.

"I know you dislike the Lycans greatly, but this new threat... these Chosen." Victor said, emphasizing the name of the new species as though it was a vile taste in his mouth. "They are much more powerful than we are. Only with the Lycan help would we have a chance against them." Victor said, closing his eyes.

"First, I want to go on a walk. I want to get attacked by one of those Chosen, and bring it back here alive. we need to study them." Victor said, as he stood, stepping down from the throne. "I want you to gather up a team of four, you included. Meet me at the front gates." Victor said, as he walked past Slash, towering at his full height of six foot seven. Opening the door to the hall, he walked halfway out, before turning his head to look over his shoulder. "Make sure the ones you gather are strong."

With that he left, the large entrance doors to the Hall closing with a resounding thud. Victor went to his room to grab his knife, which he only used in emergencies. Hiding it in his long black coat, he walked out, making sure to lock the door behind him.

Arriving outside, he felt the cool breeze of the night caressing him. How soothing it was in these troubled times. He leaned against the mansion, just beside the front doors in the shadows. For some odd reason he felt like he was being watched. He had already scanned the area that he could see, but there was nothing there that his highly trained eyes could see. Not a good feeling to have when going on a 'walk'.
