User ImageStealthy little cub, crawl away as quickly as you can, nobody will see you.

To say the least, Nitesh was -not- quite a cub anymore. So he was tired of being treated as such and having his mother smother him in hiding. Y'know..as -fun- as that would have been.

So as was always the case, in the time of his parent's distraction, the earthy-colored juvenile made a RUN for it, zipping away to his freedom to go and play, frolicking out as quickly as he could.

However, he couldn't help but screech to a halt when the ever so daunting path which led out of the pridal lands came into view, bringing a curious grin to the boy's face. What lay out there, he wondered.

Well... as any boy would, he was going to go find out.

Checking to make sure no adults were watching him, the brown juve grinned, before making a run down the path to get out of sight as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, it would be impossible to avoid having EVERYBODY see him..

There had been, infact, keen eyes watching that day; a pair so bright that they actually shed light on areas close to the little kit. Well, he wasn't much of a kit anymore, and more of a juvenile, but he still felt small. Never the less, it had been on that day where Ujaala had been slowly making his rounds and feeling more and more curious as to what was around him and where had he finally called home - when the sudden burst! of brown fur had ripped past him, making him double back on his steps.

That was a fast one! he regarded as he turned towards where the lion had ran off, his ears perked high. It was almost like a challenge for the cheetah - could this one seriously be faster than he was?

The little dark furball decided that it was high time he found out, and like all of his ancestors before him, he had gotten up; watched his target, and away he went, speeding along the outskirts of the brown lion's home, his paws ever so lightly hitting the ground as he easily made speed and wound up next to the curious being, only having the energy enough for a wry grin.

Not faster, but fast enough - he mused.

User ImageThere was a flashing light! Izulu had been having her usualy day; a frog to chase here, a butterfly that needed a lecture there.. she'd also taken the time to solidify her defeat of the horrendous green Ivy that continued to plague her life with its attempts to take over the world. Horrible stuff, that ivy, and so mean. How dare it insult her momma?! Sure, she may have never known her, but that was no reason to insult the woman. Izula was confident that the Ivy was fairly down on its luck this day, though one never knew what the tomorrow would bring.

It was shortly after her triumphant return to the pride's main "hang out" when she happened to see one of the younger lions slinking off into the territories beyond the jungle. That was odd... Turning her nose to follow him, the growing hyena bounced right along after him. She wasn't the type inclined to announce herself--at least, not purposly, her actions took care of any announcing she might have needed. As such, Izulu didn't mind that she lagged behind a little, taking her time to sniff a flower and run from a bee, and her attention lapsed for awhile until she happened to realize that there was something glowing following the lion boy in front of her.

Izulu's eyes went wide and she focused on the glowing shadowl, picking up speed until she could attempt a tackle of the object. "PRETTY!"

Nitesh had been enjoying his freedom run enough that when he looked to his side to see some... STRANGETHINGOFDOOOOOOOM looming there, running with him, it caused the juvenile to squeak in surprise and go rolling off to one side, almost with a ragdolled physics sort of effect.

From another perspective, it probably would have been more amusing to see him go rolling off to one side and into a tree.. almost up it too with how badly he latched to it.

What on earth is -THAT-.. AND WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THAT??

Breathe, breathe.

It was about that time when the lion realized ANOTHER freak-of-nature type of creature had made an appearence, though, happily for him, its attention was elsewhere, namely on the black-green-red... THING of death.

But still.. this one was even SCARIER to Nitesh. But being the 'man of the family', he puffed out his little chest in an attempt to make a macho pose and stomped back onto the path, dusting off his fur from the dirt, before leering down the two strangers.

He was unfamiliar with both of them, though, for sure, he could have sworn he'd seen the.. THINGY once when he was a bit smaller. What -was- she?.. Was it even female?

The cheetah, on the other hand, was more neon than anything else he'd seen in his living time, so he was a little more daunting, though the same size.

".. What are -you-?" he inquired accusingly.

Ah~ freerun - the world was created so that he could enjoy just a leisurely thing. It was wonderful to have thrusted himself next to an opponent. Sure he wasn't as fast as the juvenile cheetah; but he was fast enough, and bigger to boot It' was almost good enough to call him a worthy o...

wait, where did he go...?

Turning his head, the little cheetah hadn't caught on that the Nitesh had bailed out just as he was talking to himself; and so, turning his tail and slowly arching his way, Ujaala finally reached where the lion was; only to see IT. IT was purple, well, he figured IT was female, but IT WAS STILL AN IT. IT intregued the cheetah, for he had never seen one of .. THOSE before.. he was bewildered.

And IT was coming for him. WHY! Attempting to stop his high speeds, he didn't notice the lion had suddenly returned onto the 'track', and accomplisted to literally tumble tail over head twice before landing on an up-right position, eyes afixed on nothing.

After the initial shock wore off, two round and wide eyes stared up at the lion and.. IT, their curiousity only mirroring off in Ujaala's eyes, as Nitesh finally queried him.

"Me? Uh.. well.. A.. A cheetah. I am. Don't you know..?" He answered, still bewildered immensely.

Izulu was more than happy to have caught the black and red and green thing. it was shiny and pretty, though it didn't shine AS much now that it'd stopped moving. That could be changed, though. Right now it didn't, and Izulu slowly got up after giving Ujaala a healthy lick to the cheek. "Yoouuuuuuuuuu taste good too!" She decided after a long moment and giggled. Her tail thumped against her legs, wagging faster with the passing moments.

She barked happily, eyes turning towards her family-lion as he made an inquiry. The thing below her answered, but she felt obligated to put in her two sense, "I AM AN IZULU!" She crowed, then gave a few more high-pitched giggles. Ears pert with happiness, she bounced in place, somehow managing to miss trampling upon the cheeta beneath her, "Its nice to meet you, Cheetah-thingie. You're sparklie and tasty and fast; Do you run a lot? I bet you run a lot; you look like you run a lot!"

Her attention changed with the speed of light, and she bounced her way over to the cub to tackle him. When he was down she began to groom Nitesh's ears, "You are..." She paused, then sniffed him. He smelled of something familiar, "You are a Paki... but you don't look like him, exactly. Imma call you Paki-Thinger. You're from the Family, huh?"

A cheetah?

Nitesh investigated this 'cheetah', finding that, besides his mutant fluff-less tail, these 'cheetahs' looked a lot like lions. But were they all so brightly colored?

It was that, which made him curious all over, shoving his nose into the juvenile cheetah's dark fur and sniffing. Did the dark spots smell different from the brighter colors, did his tail smell different because it didn't have fluff? .....

These 'cheetahs' were also smaller than what Nitesh was used to, seeing that they were more slender then he had been, even, as a child. Now he felt fat. :< He'd have to become bulimic or something to ge- PURPLE THING!

The beaming introduction from Izulu was almost taken in a different sense, and the juvenile considered it for a minute, pondering what the basics of the 'Izulu' species was. However, after a minute of thought, it dawned on him that, no, Izulu wasn't a species, but rather a name.

Guard going down as the Cheetah was interrogated, it took Nitesh by surprise when he was suddenly tackled down by the insane Hyena and groomed, his paws flailing out comically as he tried to (hopelessly) escape from her drooling attack.

A Paki?

Nitesh pouted at the title. "I am -not- a Paki. I am Paki's -brother-, Nitesh." he insisted, still trying to wiggle his way to freedom from underneath her. "I -am- from his family, yes..." FLAAAAIL.

Wait, what now?

That was such an odd sound it made, it was more of a canine sound - one that Ujaala had rarely heard where he had called home previous to making it to this area of the african savannah. Flinching softly, he attempted to calm down , his tail softly thumping on the ground as he took the wrath of the .. thing. No, Izulu! She called herself, that she did, so he assumed that was her name. Wasn't too bad he murmured internally.

Upon being blasted by a bunch of questions, he noted to answer when he realized that her attention had suddenly taken a sharp shift, allowing the cheetah to stand up. When he was finally allowed to escape from The-Izulu's sudden grasp, he watched carefully before a nose was stuck in his fur, making the feline jump a little inches away from Nitesh. Slowly turning around as the little lion did, his eyes stayed wide in curiousity, before The-Izulu hobbled onto him.

She likes sitting on people, doesn't she...?

Finally finding his voice again to answer, he answered all the assaulted questions. "I hope I don't tasste too well; that would be hazzardouss to my health... and.. you can call me Ujaala'Nather, or just Jaala, that is my calling out here, yes. You are Iz~zulu.. and you" he worked out, turning to the lion beneath her. "Are a Nitesh, then. Yesss, I run fast; I'm the fastest I know.." small flash of pride... "And yesss, I run a lot, but not as~ss fast as~ss you saw; I get tired easssy at that speed.. he finished answering, his scarred eyebrow raised slightly high, as he regarded Nitesh once more, before murmuring a final "I think he wantsss out.."

"you're not a paki?" The first thing to cross her mind was that all these different titles for things were rather confusing. In her momentary confusion she gave him the perfect opportunity to escape as she considered the ramifications of this. "You are a Nitesh... and a Paki is a paki..." She blinked a few times. It truly had never crossed her mind that two things could look and sound alike but not be the same thing. After all, no two flowers were the exact same, but they were all flowers.

Why were things so complicated? Izulu wasn't the type to question this too long, and soon enough she'd shook herself clear of the disturbing thoughts and panted happily in their little group. Her eyes turned back on the cheeta. "Uj-ju-jaaa" She giggled at the completely mispronounciation of his name, leaping to her feet to bounce around them a little. "I think it should be nice to taste good, because then things will like you and you can have lots of fun with the tag and the hide and seekness!" It was a wonder this hyena had lived into adolescence, wasn't it?

"Not a Paki." he confirmed, taking his moment of freedom to flee from being practically SAT on to spend more investigation into the cheetah. "So you are called Jaala." he double checked, making sure he'd heard it right amongst all his flailing,

It seemed that his opportunity of freedom had been recovered from quickly by the Izulu, making his rather glad he'd fled when he had, lifting a paw to rub at his nose a bit.

The comment on it 'should be nice to taste good' cause Nitesh to crinkle the nose under his paw a bit, not quite agreeing. "If I tasted good, someone would probably eat me." he pointed out, before looking to the... smaller cheetah (presumed since he just grew to Juvie in my part..), though he was not -that- much smaller than he was. Little skinny butt. :<

"And I'm bigger than he is, so he'd be easier to eat."

It was strange to observe such things in people.

Jaala's nose sort of crinked up also when the hyena talked about things tasting good - knowing all too well that sometimes hide and seek is not the best game to play with strange animals - like The-Izuli. Tilting his head at her as she attempted to get used to his name, it couldn't help but make him smile just a little when she was proud of how close she had gotten.

Better than nothing.

But upon hearing the other one stating that he would have been easier to eat, his green eyes flew towards the lion before lifting his muzzle a bit and exclaiming "I highly doubt that I would be easily eaten, I am one of the fastest animals in these areas." Pride was deep within his speed, and he showed it off rather well. "Besides, I'm sure none of us are really interested in being another's dinner, at this time..."

"I AM!!" Izulu exclaimed without a seconds hesitation. She wasn't entirely certain what they were talking about, a fact that may or may not have been easily seen--sometimes reading this creature wasn't the easiest of things to do. Either way, she bounced in place again as she spoke, the motion causing her voice to rise and fall erratically, "IT SOUNDS LIKE FUN! dinnner, i like that word!"

Though she didn't stop her incessant hoping, the heyna looked to Nitesh as her ears flopped up and down almost as loosely as a rabbit's, "Not a paki then... but A Nitesh. Izulu will remember that! Can I be your dinner?

"I meant you'd go down the easiest." he defended. "Not that you'd like.. be first to get eaten around here..." Nitesh explained, waving one paw in an apologetic manner, however, the sudden outburst of the-Izulu, sent him stumbling to one side in surprise.

How did so much noise come out of something that was so -SMALL-. Even his parents didn't get that loud at times.. (not in that way you pervs.. ) and look how BIG they were!

"Yes.. not a Paki. A Nit-... YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE MY DINNER." he protested, appauled by the idea of eating a... whatever it was the_Izulu was in species.

Crawling back to hide behind the cheetah, Nitesh peeked up over Jaala's shoulder at the purple hyena.

There was a pause as realization donned on him, before a sudden ouburst of shock and denial came out..

"HOW COME I DON'T GET TO HAVE COOL COLORS?" he whined, latching invasively to the red-and-green marked juvenile at his side.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:56 pm

Well that answer was truely better than nothing, the little cheetah mused as he watched the on goings of the-Izulu and the lion known as Nitesh. Raising his eyes heavenward, he couldn't comprend the sheer amount of energy that the purple furball could possibly have. Oh if he could tap into that - he could run forever.

Finally realizing he was a furry shield for the slightly larger lion, he finally turned his head to only get blasted with a whimpering exclaimation about pelts - and then getting curled up on unknowingly. Eyes wide, he turned to see whatever of the brown cub he could, the large paws engulfing his lithe little form.

"Ur! I think you're colourful enough!" he started, voice a bit wispy from the sudden shock of being latched on to with force. "Where you lack in huesss, you gain in markingsss, perssonality and .. vocalss.." he answered truthfully - he was pretty interested in the other's markings.

"We're all happy down here!" The outbirst was seemingly random, but it made sense to Izulu. Of course, most everything made sense to Izulu and her happiness was suddenly squashed when Nitesh's first outburst fully hit her.

Her large purple ears flopped back against her neck and she gave a rather high-pitched whine, "You won't eat me?" Her eyes, effectivly called 'puppy' in this case, as she gazed up at the pair of males.. one of which was now hugging the other. 'Cool colours'? She blinked, totally distracted from her disapointment and the Hyena rose against to look at herself, then back towards the cheeta and lion. "I think you're pretty!" She replied with a happy bark, leaning forward to give them both slobbery licks on their faces.
