So, there was two(three kinda) huge games released this holiday season. I know you all know, but I'm going to clarify what they are. Zelda: Twilight Princess and Gears of War. Now, I've played through both. All the way through, but I just felt let down by both of them.
Zelda just felt like Zelda. Which is good. But it's also really bad. I mean, I've played this game. Several times. I played it on the 64, I played it on GC. I just felt like there was allot of quality game in there, but none of it was new. It just felt boring at times. And the ending was lame. And by lame I mean bad.
Gears on the other hand, felt fresh, even though it was essentially RE4 with cover. And it was gorgeous. My, was it gorgeous. The sound was great, and the game was all around nice and tight. It all felt good. But my issue with it was that it was tied together about as well as a Atari 2600 action game. No story. None. You show up on a train, just because it's there. And now there's a bomb. No word about it. Just "The bombs up ahead." Yeah....
Does anyone else feel like this? It just saddens me that the top two games of the holiday season are at best "pretty good". Anyone else have any thoughts?

I was feeling like as well with TP. =[
But Im hardcore Zelda fan, so im not supposed to have any feeling or logical reasoning to why Zelda TP is so damn good.
Its good. Epic. But... not Legendary like OoT was. But... Baker I am not done... I want to savour the game... since Ive waited so long to get it.
kudos for gettign the GC version. No good comes out of the Wii version.

TP on Wii is just so so. The controls werent all that innovative to me. GCN FTW

GCN FTW Well, they said they weren't going to make it for the Wii, and when they did, they didn't have much time to put in Wii controls. It could've been better, sure, but it also could've been worse.
