Just like the title says. Whaat do you think is Doctor Who's scariest/most horrific moment? Oh and Torchwood doesn't count.
I'd have to say it's when Kain dies at the end of Dragonfire.

For me, it's when the Doctor comes face to face with the Beast in The Satan Pit.

I havent seen The empty child part, but I think the scariest part in the new sieries was that scene in 'the saten pit'
I dont think anything in the old series was very scary...

The Auton Armchair that eats that guy in that episode. It single-handedly stands to blame for every single tortured nightmare of my scarred and lonely childhood.
Plus it's the whole reason I ever got into Who in the first place.
I was a masochistic six year old, so sue me >.>

Sachi_Watatsumi The whole Empty Child thing really freaked me out...but maybe that's because I was watching it alone at night. sweatdrop I have to admit, that was a little freaky. It was also a bit funny at the same time for me because my friends and I went around saying ''Are you my mummy?'' after that. xd

I'm *the* only Whovian in the school. I recently converted a friend though... mrgreen *ahem* Yeah, the beast in "Satan's Pit" was kinda eerie....although once you watch the 'unfinished' version (with greenscreen) it kinda loses that effect on you.... 3nodding

Regards the new serieses...
I didn't find the beast in "Satan's Pit" scary at all. But I suppose gigantic red devil-monsters lose their impact after playing through "Diablo".
Though the gasmask kid was freaky.

Luckily the rest of that episode is so hilariously terrible that I don't get so scared now... I think the original Cybermen were pretty scary - the sort of bandaged face thing making them look like strange tortured doll creatures... I have to say, the gasmask kid didn't get to me. It was very well done though.

I saw that! it was really funny! Theres also the clip in "the Idiots Lantern" when the doctor is looking at her (lack of) face...and in the bloopers it was revealed that while they were shooting, she just had some little black marks on her.... fun times....

Ah well, as long as I have my closest friends, I don't mind what other people think. smile As far as I know, my friend and I are the main DW people at our school. The rest of the scifi geeks are mainly trekkies or the ones that watch Battlestar Galactica. ^_^ Converting people to DW is fun. My best friend and I converted our friends Jon and Dustin to it, it's great.

How about Adric's death in Earthshock? Or Peri's "death" in Trial Of A Time Lord?
