Zaini watched the sky with a distant look in her eyes. She'd sucessfully avoided her father for the whole time... that had happened. It had been a couple of weeks since... Her head turned and she watched the three piles of flood snuggle against each other. They'd wake from their nap soon. She wasn't so sure how she felt about having kids. She wasn't supposed to have them, she was too young! And worse off... she didn't know what to do with them. It wasn't like she didn't love them.. she did, it was a rule. Or something like that, right? But she just didn't feel right having them.
They were beautiful though, she couldn't deny that. She whimpered slightly, wishing her mother was around. She'd either be furious... or helpful... or something. Whatever the case she would be there. Or here, with her. Her ear flickered and she smiled sadly as one began to struggle away from the others. So much for her alone time.
He grinned at his mom. "Mow'in." He cooed out in a sweet voice, head tilting as he tried to understand why she looked so sad but was still smilling.

It was the voice of his brother that woke up this male. The darker of the males, named Amaruk, opened his bicolored eyes slowly, glaring as the sun hit them. He didn't like the sun, ever since he opened his eyes the putried thing blinded him for moments on end before his vision came back. Glancing at the other's words, he groaned. Morning already?
"Momma" He crooned, tail wagging on the ground next to his sister.

With a yawn that ended in a high-pitched whine, the last of the bundles of fluff was roused from slumber. blinking her dark blue eyes blearily in the light. It was daytime already? It felt as though she'd just closed her eyes, and she was tempted to just roll over and go back to sleep. No one ever said Kikuba didn't like her sleep.
She did roll over, though she didn't nod off again, unfortunately. Instead, she rolled until she was on her back, stretching her little legs up toward the sky, wriggling her little toes.

Zaini tried to whipe the look from her face. She glanced away from the pups and toward the horizon. Where was everyone? She stood and shook off, stretching. "Good morning Amiel." She headed over and gave Amaruk a nuzzle. "Did you guys have a nice nap?" This was so boring.
Amiel had stopped paying attention to his mom, he was watching Kikuba with a devilish little smirk on his face. He suddenly ran over and pounced, laughing. "Wake up sleepy head, or Ima make yew wish yah never slept agaaain~!" He started to n** at her playfully, having plenty of energy already. He didn't like sleep as much as his siblings did.

It had been almost a month since the dark male had waited for his son's return to his den. Where was he? Ses seemed agitated that the runt did not come home with his "mate", but at least they got to talk for a bit. Well, if you call utter silence and complaining and the sounds of tearing flesh talking. The male had started his walk wondering where that obnoxious female was. The one that had been with Sesere all those times before. Then she just upped and vanished. Where had she gone?
Maybe he could bring her back to Sesere and then they would have a better conversation. Well, any conversation would be an improvement over their current ones. But what worried him more was her well-being. He knew how it felt when a father had lost their child and not know where he, or she, was. He had missed a great deal of Usu's life.
"Zai, where are hell are you?"
He howled. Where was that bloody female? Though he should not care too much by the way she had disrespected him those times ago, but she was a female and a maned wolf. That had to count for something. And if Usu knew her, that gave more reason.

Ama nodded after his mother spoke. "Yup Yup!" He squeaked, yipping happily as he bounced away from the siblings and to his mother. From there, he nuzzled the older adult, crooning softly. He watched Amiel, shaking his head slightly. "That's not nice Ami!" He barked, ears perking forward.

Kikuba, most commonly known as Ki-Ki, squeaked her dismay as Amiel pounced on her. She tried to wriggle away from Ami, but she was smaller, and more dainty, and the last remnants of sleep were still clinging to her, making her more sluggish than usual. In the end, she had to settle for batting at her brother with her paws in an effort to get him away.
"Not nice!" she echoed of Ama, and then repeated it, louder. "Not nice!"

Zaini's eyes narrowed and she left Ama's side for a moment, picking Amiel up in his jaws. He struggled to get down with a little growling and let his paws flail about, but his mother's grip was relentless. She moved some feet away from the other pups and set him down. "They're right, that's not nice. Don't do it!" She huffed, ears flattening and then perking. Her head jerked to the left. Oh s**t... that voice was familiar. And close! "....er Who wants to play a game?" She said hopefully.
"So! Iss fun!" His own ears perked as he copied his mother and he stuck his tongue out at the other two. "Game?" He said, looking up at his mom and obviously had missed the call from someone strange. "Wha'kinda game?" His tail wagged so fast his body started to sway side to side. "Ki-Ki and Ama wanna play too." He grinned and again stuck his tongue out at the others.

Alright, this was getting bothersome. She was either dead or long gone from this territory. Where had she ran off too? With a sigh, he sat himself down and looked around. Nope, nothing Ses-like here. Maybe if he looked really, really hard he could make a zebra and soem other animal mate and make something. Then wait a few months to steal the baby then wait longer for it to grow and give it to Ses telling it that it was Zai or something....no, that won't work.
"Where are you!?"
He called out again. Just as he said that, something came to him. A scent. No, many scents. Earthy like the maned wolves, but still hinted of something fresh. He pulled his nose to the ground and followed the scent, misleading at some points but remained viligent, following it.
"Zai? Where are you. I want to talk with yuo."

Amaruk giggled. He was tempted to say 'haha Ami got in trouble!' but refrained. He didn't want his mother to scold him for taunting the older male. The black male moved over to his sister, nuzzling his head at her shoulder before sitting down. "What kind game?" He repeated his brother, a curious look held in his bicolored eyes. He wanted to play a game, but he didn't want Ami answering for him.
The dualcolored eyes turned towards the older male, narrowing and mimicking his action. His black splotchy tongue stuck out, before smiling towards his mother.

"Er... it's called hide and seek. Go hide and I will count and then come find you guys... okay?" As she looked around slowly she realized there was no where to hide. "Actually... you guys count and mommy will hide! It will help you be good hunters, mm?" She smiled hopefully and then started to move away from them at a fast trot. Ohh, she couldn't let him see these little whelps... he'd tell her father! She glanced over her shoulder. "Go on, no peaking... Count as high.. as you can?" She didn't even know if they could count.
Amiel tilted his head, upper lip slightly curled in disgust. Why did she get to hide first? And she was right, he didn't have any clue how to count. He looked around, his gaze landing on Amaruk. "You count, kay?" He demanded, frowning. This game wasn't fun!
Her tounge lolled from her mouth and after ten minutes until he came into view, and Zai tried not to feel nervous. How long could she keep them a secret? "Hey, I'm right here so quit shouting you nimrod.." She snarled lightly, rolling her eyes.

Ashki's ears perked up when a voice called out. His crimson turning to face the female he had been looking for peeking out of a den. What was she doing way out here? What was she hiding from Sesere or something. Ashki huffed and moved toward her when the scent of others came to him. Maybe he was downwind from some herd, he dismissed it quickly and sat himself nearby.
"Zai, there you are. Where have you been? You left me with your father this entire time and you've been here?"
He asked, not entirely angry, but his voice was quite serious. What was she up way out here. He cocked a brow and moved his head a little. The mark on his chest move slowly with each breath, his eyes unblinking on the female before him. This was the same female, she did respond to her name, so.....what was going on here?
"So what have you been up to way out here? Have you been feeding yourself at all?"

*Tajwar had followed Usu's father half way, she was very nosy after all. At first she expected to find a female or some pups waiting upon his return but what she found instead shocked her.
It was one of HER pups, with pups! Tajwar's eyes filled with tears as she gazed upon the new life before her. She was so lost now, she felt like she didn’t know her offspring at all. Here one was with pups at her toe, and Tajwar didn’t know. As the moved her eyes to follow her daughter she frowned at the odd display before her. They were hiding?
With a soft sigh the female wolf made herself noticeable and with a soft tone called out.*
” Zai!”
*She didn’t even bother to acknowledge the other male, she was far to lost within her own thoughts of her daughter to even think about him now.*

She sighed and slowly sat herself down. "Of course I've been eating you moron, do I look skin and bones to you?" She actually looked a little chubby to be honest, but with good (hidden) reason. She'd been eating way too much if you were to ask her. "And what do you mean I left you with my dad? You could have gone off... he's grown, could have taken care of..." She trailed up and her eyes widened, her hackles rose and her ears flattened. Oh why had she wanted her mom so much? Her mom was a mom... she'd know about these things, wouldn't she?
She cringed lightly and looked around, looking to her mother. She was torn, she was so happy to finally see her mom again but... still, those pups could pass for orphans! Zai gave an awkward grin and got up, trying to walk over instead of slink. "Er... hi mom, long time no see?"

Ashki's body shook and stilled when another's voice called out to him. Who was that? His glanced at Zai for a moment, judging her expression if actions were needed. She looked strangely past him. Too hard to judge for his likings so he turned his head a bit and looked to what she was looking at. It was another maned wolf, female by voice and the coat looked similar, suggested mother-daughter perhaps? When the word "mom" escaped her maw his head jerked back to the younger female.
If Zai is Sesere's daughter, and Sesere had mated with a female to bear her but that female was with his son Usufii now. But Zai had just called this female her mother....so then this must be the female Sesere spoke of! And if this was his "mate" then that would mean...Usufii was nearby?
The dark male got on all for and turned to the other female and narrowed his eyes. Call it a fatherly instinct to judge the mate of their offsprings. He looked her over and over again. Was she fit for Usufii? She did leave Ses...or as he had said. Where was Usufii? Was he around? His eyes watched the other female, not saying anything not wanting to trigger anything.
This was his chance to reunite with his son again.
