Kakashi and Sakura have been through a lot together - right? Right. This post sounds fancy, but it's not. :3 It's just about my opinion on KakaSaku.
Kakashi and Sakura have been through a lot. If you look closely at these two, they've had a loy of moments. My two favorite moments come from these pictures.
In the one above, Kakashi sees Sakura about to be killed and jumps in just in time. He then smiled at her and says: Stay still a minute, okay? She stares at him in blank wonder, than nods, glad she's still alive.
The second one (above) is just absolutely adorable. Sasuke and Naruto had gotten into their fight (see episode 110-111...I think. >.<) and this is after Sakura jumped in to try and stop them. (Kakashi saved her there, too)
She was crying, and Kakashi sees that he can't hide Naruto and Sasuke's fighting anymore. He goes over to her and says: Don't worry, it'll all be okay. Sakura continues to cry, but looks a bit more reassured. He protects her from the pains of life, yet again.
KakaSaku is a pairing that makes a lot of sense. Sakura is obviously the favorite - I think it's because to Kakashi, she reminds him of Rin, whom he hasn't seen in so long. He doesn't want her to end up the way his friend did, so he protects her, and I think he does a little to try and get her to notice how much the people around her care. She obviously cares about him a lot too.
In the beginning, during the Mist Arc, when he gets 'killed' by the Mist Nin coming after Tazuna, she gasps and then, when he comes back and saves Naruto, she lets out a little cheer, like she often does for Sasuke. I think she really looks up to him, even if he never spent time training her. There's something there, even if it's not romantic.

Because Age Doesn't Matter
Personally, I never cared about age differences. Just because you're 15 years apart in age doesn't mean you can't love each other. My friend's parents are ten years apart, and they are very much in love!
The age difference is a mere excuse for the haters of this pairing. It's a very bad excuse to dislike a pairing. It reminds me of how people bash NejiHina because they're cousins - it's just not worth it.
It's just so simple - Age doesn't matter.

Sasuke? Naruto?
No. Neither of them. It was Kakashi. He was always the person who was at her side. He knows her best, he was always there for her, always watching out for her. He never left her, and he never hurt her. There was always care deep down for the young girl, the favorite of his group. There was always something there. Someone to comfort, someone to protect.
Their relationship is very deep - they both care for each other, Kakashi protects her and she looks up to him, admires him.
He was just always there. He was the only member of Team Seven who saw all of Sakura's development to the time she became a genin to the time she was promoted to chuunin. He probably watched her during her exams, made sure she didn't get hurt, even if in the most subtle way possible.
And plus, it's just so adorable. :3

Another of your great pairing threads. ^_^ I love this one too! The pairing is very cute, and with what you've said makes some sense. The whole thing with Kakashi always being there for Sakura really is true. I really love the fanart you posted here-- it was all gorgeous!! Anyhoo, this is an awesome thread and pairing. 3nodding

There's no way to deny that KakaSaku fanart is VERY cute, and I think the only pairing cuter than it would have to be NaruHina. (In looks...Remember, I despise that pairing! But the fanart...AH IT KILLS ME!)

NaruHina has very cute fan art, I can't deny either. I can't even deny the niceness in some of that SasuSaku fanart (And I really despise that pairing). KakaSaku, SakuNaru, NejiHina, and SasuHina all of great fanarts too (Then again, most Naruto pairings seem to have cute fanart as I've seen in all of these threads). I think part of why KakaSaku and NaruSaku pictures are so cute is because it seems so fluffy to me. The colors do, because they're so light. That's how it seems to me in a lot of Sakura-involving fanart. Light and sweet.
