(( Solo RP for Mtima'safi and Wahabu ^^ Some hours after Mtima ran into Kubwa, and not too long after Wahabu was talking to Miamba after his own run in with Kubwa. )) It was still a beautiful day out in the Pridelands, though the sun was no longer peaked in the sky. Instead, it was starting to sink towards the ground and it was time for the wandering goddess to return to her current home. Mtima'safi thought about her pleasant encounter with the young white lion named Kubwa, smiling at his enthusiasm over the whole situation. She really did hope that he could convince his mother to let him go to the mountains, it was her own idea but she felt it was a good one. When she got closer to her home, she sighed and slowed down for a moment. It was time to cover up her wings again, and she did so only after stretching them out nice and big.
Getting comfortable took her a bit of effort, but soon she resumed a normal pace and continued on her way home.

Wahabu had just returned from visiting his grandmother, and was in a somewhat apathetic mood. He could not decide how to feel. He was no longer upset but he just couldn't feel happy again until he talked to his mother or forgot about it. The little yellow lion was not sure if he wanted to just forget about it. If he was so sure his mother would tell him everything, how could he not go and tell her what he found out? It would be hypocritical, and he felt he would rather find out for certain sooner rather than later.
If it was true, there had to be a good reason. Mama would not just lie to them like that. If Wahabu were to believe Miamba, his mother had her reasons, which were likely good and valid, but his father probably already knew too. Neither of them said anything, but he felt he blamed his mother more for that. It was her secret, and baba could not be a god for bibi said he was not born a god and K'Anatak said that mortals couldn't become gods.
When he got back to the den he found that no one else was there yet. He was somewhat relieved by the fact he didn't have to confront anyone yet, but he took a seat by the mouth of the den to wait for whoever would show up first. In the meantime, he would try to figure out what he wanted to say, how he would ask about it. Only his parents could truly confirm that his mother was a goddess.

As Mtima approached their den, she could see a familiar little lion sitting outside. She smiled inwardly at the sight of him, for her son always made her happy. It wasn't too odd to see him sitting outside, she thought, though it was usually more relaxed looking. At least he did not look hurt or sad, that was enough to content the mother.
"Wahabu," she greeted him when she was within earshot, "What are you doing out here, love?" Her tone was friendly and joking, it wasn't a concern. She leaned to the side a bit as if she could tell if Kiza was nearby or not simply by doing so. It seemed he was alone.

Wahabu's mind continued to reel, so much so that he was a bit startled when he heard footsteps and a yellow figure approaching. Luckily, they were familiar features. He turned his head in time to be greeted, but couldn't even get himself to smile or say something back. Instead, he stared at his mother and imagined her with wings.
It was a surprisingly simple task, he found and startled himself. He knew what her wings would look like for they had been in a dream before. His dream had vague images of his mother with wings! His dreams told him things. At that strange realization, he continued to stare unblinkingly toward his mother and beyond her. Dreams were not supposed to do that, maybe it was just a fluke.

Mtima walked up to her son and sat down a short distance from him, a concerned look taking over her face. Something was wrong if he did not greet her, and he had an odd stare to him. She absently turned and glanced behind her to make sure nothing was there that caught his attention, and then looked back to him.
"What's on your mind?" she asked with a smile. The goddess had no idea what was about to come, she'd gone so far without being found out and it didn't seem likely that anyone she'd met would break the promise they made not to tell others.

Wahabu's mind came back to earth and he realized that he was staring, but being subtle was never his strong point. He looked immediately down to his mother's paws, something he'd done a lot of today. It seemed like something to do when avoiding eye contact, a compromise between looking at their eyes and your own feet.
"I- I-" he paused, glancing upward, "I was just trying to picture you with wings. I had a dream where you have big feathery white wings.. or something like that."
It was a round about way. She'd never believe him if he said he knew about her and had dreamt about it, she might think he was making it up and trying to tell her he knew she was a goddess. He looked at her eyes, waiting to see her reaction.

Mtima was surprised by his comment about wings, her mind immediately jumping beyond it being an innocent comment, even when she heard the dream explanation. She knew it was true, she could hardly think of it being coinsidence at first. She offered her son a small laugh and went for the dream topic presented to her.
"You had a dream about me with wings?" she asked, tilting her head a bit, "What do you think of that?"
Wahabu was a seer, that she knew. Just as Kilango was. She could see it in their souls as she had with Fedha'kialio. Dreams must be how her son found his visions, it was an interesting idea.

Wahabu was unresponsive to his mother's interest in the dream over interest in the idea of her having wings, he just guessed it meant she didn't fall for it.
"I don't know," he said with a shrug, his head pointed down but his eyes looking up, "I've had it before too. You have big, white wings. You were a goddess." The young lion emphasized certain words, trying to get more out of her. He turned his head up at her and stared at her, waiting for her to admit it, not hiding his knowledge anymore.

Mtima watched her sons eyes, knowing there was something odd in the way he was looking at her. He was concerned about these dreams, or there was something about them. Her ears twitched noticably at the emphasis on the words wings and goddess. He was either asking for a confirmation or he knew.
Whichever the case, the look in his eyes spoke for itself. He was looking for confirmation, but it was not because he did not know but rather because he would not accept it until the words came right from the horse's mouth. Now she just had to figure out which words were best.
"You trust your dreams," she said carefully, her tone catching the phrase somewhere between a simple statement of fact and advice. It was almost a confession, then she added, "What made you believe it?"

Wahabu maintained his stare as his mother told him to trust his dreams and pretty well confessed to being a goddess. He was speechless at first, as if he were hearing it for the first time again. Each time he heard it or mentioned it, it didn't seem real. Even hearing those words from his mother didn't seem real.
"I- I didn't believe the dreams," he admitted, "Ku- someone told me, and then I remembered them. I didn't believe any of it, not until now.." His mother could keep secrets, but Wahabu didn't want to. Besides, who would want to lie to a goddess? Especially when it was his mother!

Mtima hated to see her son refusing to look at her, so she lay down on the ground infront of him and stuck her nose right beneath his to encourage looking at her. She was a bit surprised to hear that he had been told by someone about her being a goddess.
"Who told you?" she asked, tilting her head, sounding more surprised than angry, "Everyone who knows agreed not to tell others." The goddess bit her lip, knowing that wouldn't sound very nice to her son who had to find out about this through another. Of course, she felt he was smart enough to realize that if he found out through someone else then others knew, and if she kept it from family it was likely meant to be a secret.
"I guess we have a lot to talk about," she sighed, licking him affectionately on the nose.

Wahabu turned his head when his mother's nose appeared in his view, but turned his eyes to look at her as she spoke. He frowned when she asked who told him, reluctant to answer that question. Kubwa said something about doing something he wasn't supposed to do- would she get mad at him? He understood why his friend had done wrong telling him with his mother's next comment.
"My friend told me," he murmured, leaving it at that despite the fact she didn't sound so angry, "We'd been joking about our mama's being goddesses before, but I didn't know it was true." He added the last comment with a small laugh, now finding it kind of funny.
"I guess," he agreed, flopping onto the ground as well and rubbing his nose with his paws to escape the lick, "C-can I see your wings?"

"Which friend?" she asked, wrinkling her nose in amusement at his reluctance to admit it. Then she remembered something Kubwa had said- he said he used to joke about his mother being a goddess. Mtima gasped at the sudden realization that she had met one of her sons friend, and as far as she knew his only friend that was not the god he'd brought to meet her that time.
"Nevermind," she brushed it off, she could hardly blame a youth for going to his friend with this information. If she happened to see him again, she might say something about it, though. Staring off and laughing inwardly about it, she was startled back to reality when Wahabu asked to see her wings.
"Of course," Mtima nodded, and stood up. With a couple steps back to help him get a better look, she dropped her disguise and her wings flickered into view.

Wahabu shook his head when his mother asked who, and hesitated while he decided if he would say who or not. His mother must have decided she didn't want to know, because she said nevermind and Wahabu took that chance happily. Then he watched with great interest as his mother backed away and suddenly has wings appear on her back. It was nothing like his young imagination had him thinking, she did not sprout feathers, there was no loud pop.. they just kind of faded into view.
"Wow," he murmured, leaning over to get a better look. His dreams really didn't do her wings justice, it was so different seeing the wings for himself. He sat up and looked back to his mothers eyes.
"What are you goddess of?" he questioned curiously, then sounding more sad when he continued, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Mtima stretched out her wings, both to get more comfortable and show them off better for her son. She knew wings were nothing new to him, the feather behind his ear made that loud and clear. It was nice not to be hiding her wings, perhaps now she could actually rest and feel better. She smiled at the realization that now she could rest comfortably in her own den once again.
"I'm the goddess of souls," she answered, and continued before he could ask what it meant as many others had, "Your soul is the part of you that cannot be seen. It's what makes you you, it's your beliefs, your personality, your visions.. I can see the basic elements of one's soul, I've always known you were kind-hearted and friendly."
She took a moment to collect her thoughts for the other question, sighing, "I did not tell you because of the pride here, just in case the whole lot of them didn't believe in gods. Cubs have a hard time keeping secrets sometimes, I didn't want to put you through the trouble of trying to keep it. And I was hesitant to tell you because if I told you, I'd have to tell Kilango, and I was wary of her knowing that her mother is a goddess."
